I have a question for all those that condemn her. What if she had not been a believer when she divorced and was converted after she and Vince married? What would be her status before the Lord then? Also what precisely would she have to do to become repentant now? Since she and Vince are married and have a child together would she not be compounding her sin to divorce him? What would Jesus ask of her to show repentance? Would remaining faithful to her new marriage even if it goes bad be enough?

I can't believe these posts! A beautiful, heartfelt, inspiring song expressing love for God, and people quote bible verses and rush to judgement! So full of scripture that hearts and ears have been turned to stone. You don't live her life or deal with the pressure of so much attention on you as she does. Live as you believe God intends, and accept that the human condition is difficult, full of tests, and give the mercy to others you expect from God when you stumble.

God tells us not to pray about that.

I have a question for all those that condemn her. What if she had not been a believer when she divorced and was converted after she and Vince married? What would be her status before the Lord then? Also what precisely would she have to do to become repentant now? Since she and Vince are married and have a child together would she not be compounding her sin to divorce him? Everyone that thinks Amy is an unrepentant adulteress you are wrong. She was never an adulteress. First her husband was a drunkard and therefore in reality an unbeliever or at the very least lost in sin. Therefore, since God has called us to Peace and contention is not of him. A believer is not under bondage to remain with a husband or wife that is not happy or peaceful in their marriage. I Corinthians 7:10-17 covers their divorce after 17 years most of which had been spent in counseling.

The woman by the well Jesus spoke to had 6 "husbands" and yet she was able to call others to Jesus. Repentance from sin is required in order to receive forgiveness, but we have no way of knowing how the Spirit is working in someone's life and whether they have repented of past sins. Continuing a present marriage doesn't mean she hasn't acknowledged her mistake to God and genuinely mean to leave her sinful self behind and follow Jesus anew. Then in Revelations 2:11, 20:14, 21:8 There is clear mention of a second death. God warned Adam and Eve they would die. Now for sure they died once so that was true, but here we see mention of a second death. Either they die a second time or John was hallucinating and we can no longer trust revelations.

I can't believe these posts! A beautiful, heartfelt, inspiring song expressing love for God, and people quote bible verses and rush to judgement! So full of scripture that hearts and ears have been turned to stone. You don't live her life or deal with the pressure of so much attention on you as she does. Live as you believe God intends, and accept that the human condition is difficult, full of tests, and give the mercy to others you expect from God when you stumble.

She admitted on the Larry King show in 2004 that, she never left her faith in Jesus, but there were time she did not know how to pray. I remember Amy performing a concert in Dallas, TX, many, many years ago. I had come to Yeshua in 1972 & and the pages of the New Covenant had literally come to life for me and many others that year. The presence of God was so powerfully evident and present at her concert that evening. Listening to her tonight on YouTube perform El SHADDAI, refunded the entire memory of that evening. For that, I am extremely grateful!

While you are telling us what God permits and doesn't permit, you should note those He specifically states at (1Cor6:9) have no inheritance in His Kingdom (including the sexually immoral/adulterers).
Also, you should check what He says about judging at (1Cor6:3), (John7:24), (John12:48) so that you might speak with knowledge.

"God is love" and therefor would not torture his creation for eternity, but instead remove their hope of everlasting life if they refuse to follow his laws. Also, Satan is Gods enemy, so the idea of God sending the wicked to hell to be tormented by Satan is ludicrous. That's what the bible teaches anyway.

Everyone will know that Amy has repented when she stops committing adultery (as God told the adulterous woman to do), and shows that she loves God more than she loves her sin (John14:23-24) by keeping His commandment at (1Cor7:10-11). Until then (1John3:6) seems descriptive, if not (Heb6:4-6).

Interesting, I always wonder why the plain women get the best looking men. The reason for this is due to inner beauty. If one is oppositional and relentless, that person's behavior, character is looked as inappropriate in the brain as pleasing. Therefore, what you feel inside does come out externally. I find myself, plain, but my husband and others think I am beautiful. It is said my eyes are brighter than the stars. That is the Holy Spirit fruit shining through!

Yeh...I believe that the only path to happiness is through him even though you will go through trials and tribulations. And (1Cor7:10-11): Now to the married I command, yet not I but the Lord: A wife is not to depart from her husband. But even if she does depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. And a husband is not to divorce his wife.
(1Cor6:9) is true!!! Unrepentant adulterers flagging God's Word as spam cannot change that. God's Word is eternally holy, righteous, and just.

Jesus uses the word dismiss in Mark 10. Send away, allow to go, repudiates, divorces...nothing about adultery in reference to "sex". See there is the questionable matter that God wants us to go into prayer and see what it means to us.

@Sween9261 @Sween9261 DId u read all of Mark 10? It starts with the Pharisees coming to test him. Jesus asks them what the Moses Law decreed. Disciples were confused. He used the word "dismisses". story went on the disciples were correcting everything he did, just as the Pharisees were doing. Creating a condition for those who wanted to follow Him tht wasn't there. He clearly stated, if you give of yourself unconditionally, you will never be "dismissed" or "refused" from the kingdom of God.

@Sween9261 When we create "human" conditions to "forgiveness", we say and alter what the message of Jesus was....FORGIVENESS. We need to be more like those children who forgive unconditionally. The only one worthy and righteous enough to create an "alternation" in the Law is God. He fulfilled it.

@DJMYDIS, considering that Amy continues daily in open disobedience of God's Word, modeling her disobedience to young and impressionable people, the preponderance of the evidence is that (Heb 6:4-6), (Heb 10:26-27), (2Pet2:20-22), and (Luke 17:2) pertain, in which case, so does (1John 5:16). God tells us not to pray about that.
The blessing will be to alert those "little ones" to the devil's lie to Eve: Oh, surely, God didn't say that; if He did, He didn't mean it. Surely that won't happen.

@Sween9261 go back in the bible and read again. He forgives...it was done on the Cross. We we cleansed...when we ask Jesus into our hearts, we walk with Him. Just because someone changes, a spouse, doesn't mean we are responsible for their actions. It is a personal committment. God loves his children, but gives them choice. Gary let his jealousy of Amy's persona get in the way of their relationship. Unequally yoked. If that Amy is in error, she is responsible for that choice, not us!

If he has changed, good for him...however, that doesn't mean they weren't unequally yoked at that time and now. He fell away. Amy didn't. Amy asked forgiveness...& got it. You misinterpret the bible for ur on condemnation needs. The Law has been fulfilled! Forgiveness came. If u go to HIM nothing can come between that. Get yourself out of that persons life...& reflect on ur own!
