  • Thank you. Thank you for an old song I once knew and one that speaks to me so much more now that I'm older and have lived a good deal more.

  • For I Loved You - Roger Whittaker (by sound) When you find yourself alone without me Any old place where we used to be Where together we lived out happier days In a haze of delicate space In life we have but one part we can play Now I must leave, You know I can’t stay We speak our life, then we have to be gone Now I’ll wait for you beyond the sun So when you cry, don’t grieve for me Or for days that used to be Don’t you ever cry in sorrow
  • I thought I knew all of Roger's songs. I've loved his music since I was a child. how on earth have I missed this one!!! Absolutely fantastic. So glad I have discovered it...........even 35 years late!

  • i listen to this song so very often. i love it and feel that his entire recording is direct communication for me.

  • This is truly a treasure. When you lose a love one, what a beautiful song to remember them by, a special tribute to what that person meant to you while they were alive.

  • @merlinhagrid yes..it is a really great song :)

  • @merlinhagrid I couldn't agree with you more. I remember when I was a child how my mother used to love listening to Roger Whittaker. I also remember how my mother cried several months before she died while listening to Roger Whittaker, since she realized that she was not going to win her fight with cancer.

  • always think of all the places my father took me as a child, hope to meet him again in another life

  • Yes a beautiful song but the orginal from the LP Roger Whittaker, With Love) is much better!

  • @kramers1 this is the only version I have ever heard of it :(

  • Beautiful song, I wonder why this doesn't even have a lyric page online, it needs some more recognition.

  • @ThatReviewGuy1 I have never been able to find this song on any album..just happened across it a few years ago while downloading some Roger off limewire..wish I did have the album..

  • i found it on Limewire too :)

  • I found it on limewire too

  • @ThatReviewGuy1 Truly my favorite Roger song of all time :)

  • I agree with you, beautiful song, great arranged. Too bad only 590 had discovered it here. This is good music, great lyric, both are rare nowadays. Too much crap music today.
