I am for over-the-counter birth control for all ages, but I am against partial birth abortion. I am also for stem cell research, but on the fence about abortion. I am against human cloning.

In his NY Times op-ed Sam Brownback essentially said that to the extent scientific fact differs from his religious views he dismisses the science. I was a registered Republican until 4 years ago, and Sam Brownback is a perfect example of why I don't see myself going back. I am a Christian and believe that faith should play an important role in one's personal life. If should not be the basis of any legislation. If Senator Brownback wishes to live by the tenets of a morally unsound offshoot of Christianity, I wish him well with it. When he and others expect others to conform to their beliefs, I will actively work against them.

Nor does he regret the 2003 invasion of Iraq, (which shouldn't have happened), and as a result has killed over 650,000 Iraqis. Where in Christianity does it say that it is "ok" to kill somebody because you just 'assume' that they might kill you 10 years from now? Preemptive War has always been waged by Pagan rulers.

Yeah I got the 655,000 number from the Lancet Medical Journal Study. This was made up of researchers from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Baghdad's al-Mustansiriya University. Although I did find some reporters arguing that those numbers were probably to high. Google: Iraqis Killed and see for yourself. Thanks for the heads up.

How about the children in Iraq and Afghanistan. How about letting the Iraqis decide for themselves how many states they want. Support the troops; bring them home.
