I wondered how u managed 2 get your GIMP to look the way it does (black version) and searched - to find your tutorial about this very thing, lol.

I installed a later version of GTK after getting a msg from executing the gimpthemes msi file that said "Windows cannot access the specified device... may not have appropriate permissions ..." Still same message. Anything you can help with. Would apprec.

@xXavrilrocks If you want to know if something that's spread on youtube has viruses, look at the amount of "dislikes" the video has gotten. If there are hardly any, it's a good indication that there is no virus there.

Then read the comments to see if anyone has complained about it being a virus.

Then make sure you have a good virus scanner on your computer and scan the file before you install.

@GIMPtricks. I have been trying to find out if there is a way to customize my gimp docks a little more. Like if I only use a certain style of brush and color set when doing landscapes and also another set when doing manga. If there is a way to set this up to bring up the saved profile when I choose. I have a lot of brushes and hate going through all to find one or two. If you could help me organize my gimp that will make my workflow much easier. If you don't have time or don't have a video mayb

@freesoulvw That should be possible in the next GIMP version. In this version, the only thing I can think of is putting your brushes in different folders and then go to edit- preferences and from there you can set what folder you want to see brushes in gimp from. That's not very handy though, but I guess you could get used to it.

@SomeWasteOfTime Works with gimp 2.6. But it sounds like something went wrong during the install if the box doesn't change. Maybe download the installer again and try from scratch.

I'm not sure how windows 7 works. But on XP you can just uninstall it. Just make sure that you are using the windows theme before you uninstall it.

Install the Gimper themes to a folder of your choice (or to the default location ... program files) and merge the contents of the folder "GIMP-Themes v.1" with the contents of the folder GIMPPortable\App\gimp

start Gimpthemes-v1.0.exe to choose skin

(located at GIMPPortable\App\gimp\bin)

That's cool that you found a way. Gonna try that later.

There are more themes. Send me a message if you want to know how to get them. It's a bit of a workaround but if you can figure this out then you can add extra themes too.

you have to check "apply for all users" and then ok!!!

I don't get it. I searched my computer for that libatk file and it's not there so why would your themes application need it? Only thing I can think of is go to that forum where you got the themes from and ask there, or try to ask the Gimper who made the themes. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
