Yes CR5, 6 string is too overcharged for me but it's question of personal feeling. Strings are Tomastic Spirocore (the red one). Think you can use any kind of acoustic cello strings...
Thanks all! The sound is great, best electrical cello sound so far. However I find it very unstable and that affects the intonation. Something else they should fix is the electrical supply, only with battery - 2 of 9 volts that go wasted after one concert... so I had to do reparations and add additional electrical supply by cable.
What strings are you using?
That looks like a CR5, I'm thinking of getting a CR5 or 6. Could you give me any advice on choosing between a 5- and a 6-string electric cello?
