Definately Dolphins,Porpoise is a lot smaller and less athletic,not jumping uot of the water,I saw a huge pod out there,off Moelfre Nov.2006,from the lifeboat station,apparently you have a good chance of seeing them there,Oct -Dec.
Cheers for that - yes we seem to see these Dolphins in the area of Puffin Sound very often these days. Not sure from memory if it is more often later in the year or not though.
Also see them from the shore at dawn when fishing at high water - when they come through the sound and immediately back out again.
