It depends on the attitude with which one is listeneing: if is is with reverence an joy, impoefections are never noticed; if listening as a specialist, one cannot avoid spoiling it all by pointing out mistakes. And not keeping it for themselves.

A 12-year boy is singing, after all. Only the angesl can sing perfectly.

Compare this video to the same song by Josh Groban elsewhere on YouTube for a truly amazing performance. Your obvious affection for Mr. Gilman is noted, but this is simply not a great performance by him.

While I acknowledge some technical flaws in this performance, it moved me. Josh Groban's version is technically very good, but it didn't move me as much. I say this with great respect as Groban is clearly very talented. But I prefer this performance. That is my point of view.
