  • the scalabrine jokes never get old lmao

  • i love how on the scoreboard they added it to th wrong team

  • Funny how the homers think this is like Jesus' second coming. I love seeing people's different perspectives on events. Mine.... replay would have reversed this win...

  • @dbeldenyo cool story bro

  • Scalabrine makes this video

  • If you pause it at the right time you can clearly see that the ball was on his fingertips as the clock hit triple zeros it wouldn't have counted but back then they didn't have replay

  • @Starfoxx87 Yeah, and there is no way you can catch, dribble and shoot in 0.8 seconds...

  • thumbs up if you didn't believe the title because of scalabrine!!!!

  • announcer said at the end 87-82 when it is 85-84

come on pac 12 refs know how to use your numbers correctly

  • I remember watching this game, way back in the day.

  • He didn't get it off! But hey.............it happens. In the Stanford-Cal football miracle one of the runners was technically down by contact

  • The defense was too busy trying to contain Scalabrine.

  • but look Scalabrine is in the NBA all the way while Spanich is still on the D-League.

  • its all because of Scalabrine's influence.

  • How does this not have like 1 milllion + views?

    This is BEYOND EPIC!

  • can't you just inbound it off someone's leg and then hope it just bounces away and time runs out?

  • WOW.

  • Incredible.

  • What year was this

  • America,America!!!!!

  • Amirika!! :D

  • 1:14 WTF?

  • fuck usc

  • kobe changed his number to 24 to honor scalabrine

  • he didnt get it off in time

  • @violenceteacher6669 You are right. I paused it at 0.00 and the ball was still in his hands.

  • @AugustusJohnston At first I thought he didn't get it off on time, saw your comment and tried what you said, but no matter whenever I stop at 0.00 it's out of his hands... it's arguable either way

  • If you take a good look, he had it off in time

  • Pause it at 1:11, shouldn't have counted 00:0 and it's still in his hands.

  • @Aseldo yeah but if you wanna be all replay technical, the shot before should have stopped the clock at 1.1 seconds, so wouldnt have really mattered

  • Here's a thought! come towards the ball with 0.08 seconds in the game

  • The second you see that Scalabrine jersey... YOU KNOW SHITS ABOUT TO GO DOWN.

  • Those Oregon players should have ran all night after this game lol

  • you cant catch the ball take a dribble and shot a half court shot in .8 seconds...he didnt get it off in time but still a great shot

  • Shitty announcers.

  • at least you can't argue whether his game winner in arizona counted or not.

  • The commentators don't know math.the first won says 5 points in 2.8 seconds, and the other says they won by a 1 point lead 87-82.Like Whaaa?

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome comeback, but he definitely had the ball when the clock hit 0

  • LOL! Brian Scalabrine. Back when he made a difference in basketball.

  • which one was the home team? its always cooler when the home team wins

  • no way he got that off in time

  • if u pause right at 0:00 u see the ball is still in his hands barely

  • so close.....TO A HUNDY THOUSAND VIEWS!!!!

  • They just put up six points!!

  • They just put up six points!!

  • A MIRACLE!!!!!

  • Thumbs up if you love my cousin Scalabrine.

  • @ScalSwag92 HA NAH HES A CUNT SON.

  • Best part of the video was seeing the man, the myth, the legend, the white mamba!

  • 87-82 its 85-82 clock!

  • omfg

  • lol the guy that does the numbers wanted oregon to win

  • scalabrine!!

  • lol well well well, what do i see there

SCALA - FUCKIN AWESOME - BRINE

  • they won because brian scalabrine breathed on the rest of the team, if he did that before the game they would have won 100 to 0

  • a meeracul! a meeracul! a meeracul!

  • perfect example....the game aint over til its over

  • THEY WON 'CAUSE SCAL WAS THERE!

  • SCALABRINE!!!!!

  • Lol this is like todays game but they waived off todays shot hahahahhaha

  • Today's game and they go to the replay and waive it off.

  • SCAL

  • no chance he got that shot off in time.

  • omg Scalabrine from USC? No wonder i hated him since he got into the NBA.

  • Jesus, this should happen to anyone but fucking USC! Those MUTTS don't deserve to exist, much less get miracles tossed their way.

  • 2:06

    lol the guy on defence...

  • i live in oregon thumbs down

  • @SuperMarshmallow21 but you probably dont go to Oregon University you could go to oregon state and be happy oregon lost

  • 7 dislikes all thanks to the annoying announcers.

  • screw the buzzer, that counted to everyone, even oregon fans

  • USC sucks !!!!!!!!!

  • 7 people had money on Oregon

  • wow it's the same guy who hits both 3s

  • sry... missed one point. but where is 3-pointline?

  • don´t understand ... first they give the wrong team the 3 points.

    why 6 points? i counted 5... and where is the goddamn 3-pointline ? !

  • lol scalabrine

  • Wow nice shot, but it doesnt count buzzer went off first. Rule: Ball has to be out of your hands before buzzer go's

  • Why throw the long pass?????? HOLY COW!!!

  • Wow. The ball was still in his hand at 0.00. That means that they shouldn't have won, but did. Nice shot but not a legit win. Too bad. It doesn't matter if you are off the ground. The ball has to be out of your hand.

  • @Jaboie Look at the moment when they score the previous 3-pointer. The ball entered the ball when there were 1.1s remaining, yet the clock wasn't stopped until there were 0.8s seconds left. He should had had 1.1 seconds to make the shot, not 0.8s. And so on. There are timing mistakes in nearly every action in a basketball match.

  • @Jaboie the previous 3-pointer went into hoop with about 1.1 seconds left, not 0.8. That was a timing mistake by FOX. The TV clock is always out-of-sync with the game clock.

  • FOR EVERYONE TRYING TO CLAIM THE BUZZER WENT OFF FIRST - WATCH AGAIN - HE WAS OFF THE GROUND WHEN HE SHOT !! stop bitchin

  • Why does the final score say 87-82? The commentators even talk about it.

  • @Holdington human mistake lol :P

  • Epic fail by the Oregon score keeper at 1:19 -- he added the points to Oregon instead of USC. Pwned!

  • @TopUKFan The Oregon scorekeeper? Or the FSN scorekeeper?

  • that shot wouldnt have counted in today's game cuz of replay but damn that was still pretty sick

  • if that situation came up a million more times that wouldn't happen again

  • i wonder what must be going through oregons head in that second

  • love it, no hate for this vid

  • who cares about the buzzer beater winning shot if you already had brian scalabrine in the beginning?

  • Utahman is correct except i found it at 2:03 and 2:04.

Not the greatest comeback of all time but close though

  • Pause it right between 2:13 and 2:14... ball is still in his hands with 0:00 on the clock. Just barely. Still pretty cool but not legit if it had happened in the days of instant replay.

  • thats my cousin adam spanich that last shot half courtt yeahhh buddyyy [:

  • Of course Bruin Billy Mac only cares to talk about Spanich taunting the crowd.

  • @jbstrojan would you rather him talk about how USC didn't win the game because the shot shouldn't have counted? if replay was in use back then, your Trojan memory would only be another loss.

  • @eKriZZLe your key word used is "IF". your little bRuin brain must not comprehend you can say this about all sports prior to this century.

  • @jbstrojan so you admit that USC didn't win the game? all i wanted. and I'm a Duck.

  • @eKriZZLe No, the game is a W for USC. where in the world did you get the idea that USC didn't win?

  • @jbstrojan in the record books, yeah. but we both know who really won.

  • Seriously why the fuck would you throw a half court pass with less then a second to go?? They would be able to get a shot off in time unless you threw it right to them, which he did. The guy who threw that inbound should never be allowed near a basketball again.

  • this is the kind of things you just think about doing, but u never actually think it will happen! Unbelievable!

  • That was sick

  • Brian Scalabrine!!!! :D That brought a smile on my face!

  • They Win it by one 87-82......wtf?

  • why is this getting thumbs up? the damn scorer made a mistake and gave the 3 to oregon. learn to count!

  • @toughdoughrs They totally screwed up with the score there.

  • @toughdoughrs scorers mistake dumbass.

  • @toughdoughrs They gave the 3 points to the wrong team. Haha.

  • @toughdoughrs they added the points to the wrong team...was an accident.

  • @toughdoughrs they fucked up the score thing, they added 3 to the wrong team at the end.

  • @toughdoughrs The scoreboard operator screwed up temporarily. It was then corrected to 85-84

  • Commentator fails

    "Absolute miracle"

    "5 point play"

    "87-82"

  • hey anyone feel short? here is the solution

" Helpo Growth Formula " it worked for me...

  • sorry to say but he was on the bench =))=))

  • too bad he didnt get it off in time...2:04 in video, if you pause it in time, you can see the time reads 00.0...nice attempt but no cigar

  • @martyd1036 the ball was out of his hands its good.

  • @martyd1036 No cigar? LOL it won the game so I think he gets the cigar. ;) Only thing that matters is if the refs count it. No instant replay back then.

  • Scalabrine? Actually playing?

  • weird to see scalabrine in a jersey

  • No chance that shot got off in time. Impossible with a dribble.

  • @rmur23 sike

  • and we were joking about a 5 point play!

  • scalabrine! What a career hes had. I think I saw him in the nba finals last year for about 30 seconds. :D

  • This isn't the best!!!

The best is the 2005 NCAA basketball ll

  • 7 poeple disliked it because he didnt get the shot off. Still the greatest thing ever!!!

  • even the commentators thought it was over

  • SCALABRINE!

  • The coach of ORE would have been extremely furious with this comeback againt him!

  • Technically it was 5 points in .8 seconds

  • Technically it was 5 points on

  • was Brian Scalabrine a cheerleader in USC too?

  • Comment removed

  • A MIRACLE! A MIRACLE! A MIRACLE! stupid hoster

  • I hate USC but this was awesome!

  • Did they actually count that? I didn't seem like he got it off in time...

  • No doubt, the GREATEST ending I have and will probably ever see in a basketball game!!!!! WOW!!!!

  • Without a doubt that is the greatest basketball comeback ever

  • it was the same guy too thats crazy

  • The basket should "NOT COUNT" If review the replays clearly... You can see the clock is already at 0:0.0 but still he has the ball in his hands

  • At 0:23 I think scalabrine's on the celtics now :P

  • Shit Man the best comeback ever not only in college basketball but in history!!!!

  • lol look at score board. the score keeper added 3 pts to the wrong team.

  • "and they win it by 1, 87-82"

    Nice math skills lulz

  • @MCS4991 It's actually 85-84 USC, they put the score wrong on television.

  • @crazyj189 Yeah but still funny :p

  • Barry Tomkins, and the scoretable kept saying 87-82....wasn't it 85-84? Haha

  • Dat a boy Scally

  • If u watch it again, pause it slowly and you will see the clock hit zero before he released it. Still an amazing shot though.

  • @reamallday yea thats wat i thot too

  • why the hell did oregon try and throw it all the way down the court instead of an easy inbound pass for the win. they deserve this! :S

  • wow that'S amazing!!!!!!!

  • this is amazing

  • that's the damndest thing i've ever seen

  • A MIRACLE A MIRACLE A MIRACLE A MIRACLE

  • i love how everyone runs toward the guy who made the buzzer beater in college basketball lol. it's like instant chaos.

  • jaja if you look at the points they gave the last points to the wrong team and they also said it wrong

  • BS second shot was def BS shouldn't have counted

  • He let it go at the exact time to have it count.

  • 2nd shot would not have been allowed today. Still in his hands at buzzer. Seeing it was 1999, this is by far the greatest comeback in NCAA history...all sports! The Oregon cheerleaders have a classic reaction.

  • the replay is not clear

  • Brian Scalabrine?

  • @xxxheat I said the same thing

  • @xxxheat Lol He has had 1 really good game in the NBA and now he rides the bench for the celts...

  • @cprewittorgilbert1 only 1? lol

  • @xxxheat yea..no wonder this was possible lol

  • I'd like to see this frame by frame, but it looks like the ball is in his hand just about head high when time runs out (not really even that close... like some finger-tip replays I've seen). I don't think it can really be the "greatest comeback of the century" when the winning shot really should not have counted. Kind of like U.S. vs. Russia in the Olympics in '72. Sweet shot though.

  • Back then there was no instant replay so USC was lucky...USC represent!

  • i dont think he shot the ball in time on the second one.

  • I was at this game in the student section. Obviously as a Duck, I didn't like how it ended ,but it was a great shot. What the video doesn't show you (though Tompkins alluded to it) was after, Spanich jumped on the table in front of the students. Not a huge deal to me, but his problem is it was "Hard Hat Night". They gave each of us pretty solid, heavy hard hats to wear during the game. Lets just say more than one ended up being flung at Spanich...

  • 1:21 the guy just wants in on the action so he's like... "STAR JUMP!" :D lol

  • it was still in his hands when the buzzer went off.

  • THE REAL KING SCALABRINE

  • EPIC FAIL by Oregon

  • man that is very close. As far as the clock starting late, they also paused it late after the first 3-pointer. It should've stopped at 1.1 seconds but stopped instead at .8 seconds.

  • the point is they did not give up..good effort..
