I'd like to see this frame by frame, but it looks like the ball is in his hand just about head high when time runs out (not really even that close... like some finger-tip replays I've seen). I was at this game in the student section. Obviously as a Duck, I didn't like how it ended ,but it was a great shot. What the video doesn't show you (though Tompkins alluded to it) was after, Spanich jumped on the table in front of the students. Not a huge deal to me, but his problem is it was "Hard Hat Night". They gave each of us pretty solid, heavy hard hats to wear during the game. Lets just say more than one ended up being flung at Spanich...
