nice clanky Telecaster sound, Lerb! Don worked the hell out of that pentatonic box, for sure. It sounds simple, but trying to phrase it the way he did is the tough part.
I am a blues guitarist by trade (acoustic and electric), but I am a diehard fan of retro-country - especially Buck Owens. Would you consider doing a lesson for Buck's song "Open Up Your Heart?" I love that tune but am not sure exactly what Rich was doing on that tune.
Thanks for the great lessons. Simple stuff, but it sounded so great!
Hello Clint just was surfing by and saw you and I have been taking guitar lessons for a year now and have learned the pentonic SCALES and the 7 major scales and am now learning how to play over jam tracks and determing what the shape is and what what key and I want to thank you for helping me with the Johnny Cash stuff. I've seen your 3 videos and have found them very informative. You seem like a very nice, friendly person. Some people may not quite understand your guitar set up if they didn't see Video #2. Anyhow, I really enjoy lessons. Thank you very much.
Hi! Fantastic job and great sound! Do you know how to play the lick Don used to do in 'Gonna Have Love'? It's at the beginning of the lick just after the first chorus. He plays the same, or similiar, in '(I Want) No One But You', 'Fallin' For You' and the non-studio version of 'Tiger By The Tail'. Would be post grateful if you posted this. Keep up the good work!
Excellent job! Really appreciate you putting these Don Rich lessons together.

To me it sounds like old time rock and roll. However rock and roll comes from blues and gospel in my view. (Sun Records)
