I think I set me expectations for this game a bit too high. I bought it and yes it was a good game but the way creators made it sound with the destiny's and guilds and the WORLD it sounded pretty epic but sadly it was just a good game

Or even let's say i just wanna create a lady mage, because by the way, i didn't see not even ONE female character or any playable races in any of the trailers so far... So if you're telling me this is a one man story/one chrarcter linear creation system... i'm gonna tell you right away: Not buying. Show me more! Then i'll think about it.

But most RPGs have a canon hero, or just keep one hero in the trailers for consistency, so that the audience can recognize which person is the player, because they've seen him/her or someone similar to him/her in previous trailers. Also, male voices generally sound better for things like yells and grunts when you want to make things sound action-y and intense.

Effects and art work are pretty standard. The two brazier holding sentries in one of the scenes look somewhat like the login screen of WoW Burning Crusade. Since it is an RPG, there should be some story, but I dont get much of the story from here. It is basically just a trailer showing how a class-changing guy can handle glowy weapons and fight monsters. Because of the hype and the secrecy, I had expected something better. I sincerely hope the game will prove me wrong.

@makml First off this footage is from the pre alpha build. There is a lot of touch ups and polishing to go especially since it doesn't come out until next year.

As for story 22 time best selling author R.A. Salvatore helped with the story and wrote a 10,000 year history for the world. Story shouldn't be anything that you need to worry about.

@sw0ren Dont you remember the days when games were a mystery? You would buy the game, rush home and the thrill of finding out what lays beneath the package was as much fun as the game itself? Now they reveal everything there is to know about the game before its even released. Im sick of all of these developer diaries and gameplay series like RDR's, which pretty much left absolutely nothing to be discovered or found by the player. Nothing is a surprise, and you can review a game by its trailers.

-slot machine style loot system that can create over 2 million different pieces of loot plus various special sets of gear

-action combat system based on timing of button presses rather than combos (if you push a four times quickly you get one attack if you pause between presses it will do a different attack.

-open world

no class restriction, as you level you can put points into any of the 3 classes and mix and match your abilities

I understand graphics aren't everything, gameplay takes the cake, but how can you have Todd McFarlane on something that looks like it came out in the late 90's? Expected more with such a name to boast, and I'm a huge Salvatore fan as well... skeptical after Demonstone still however... Hope the final product looks like it's in the right decade.

@KingGrowl It's mostly the art direction choice, I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but something about the cheesy cartoon skeletons and disney coloring book choices doesn't make me excited lol. Salvatore and McFarlane both have so much mature depth I would've like to seen a more 'serious' approach to this, my opinion anyways :/
