@TeHBawNeY this is a good asumtion but not always true. i know awd street cars that trap 130+ mph so this can launch hard and mph you too. my friend has a 04 mustang gt that runs 11.80s @121mph and ran a evo that had unknown mods with stock turbo. my buddy out launched the evo and got out by a car and the evo came around him in the last feet of the run.

@BLACKLACDTS True if the awd car is much faster and just bogged its launch then it could definitely catch a rwd car. In those cases though the awd car was faster to begin with. If you have an AWD car and you know its faster than a rwd car it may even be a good idea to sandbag your launch as many idiots out there will assume they could also beat you.

Um, one thing that is to be considered, White Balance on cameras sometimes autocorrect so the lights appear to be blue/white Hids..This effect can be seen in some older movies etc.

@CJAEY Not true numbnuts!! Look at older Acura sedans, CL, TL anyone. HIDs aren't as efficient tho in open face housings, but with careful shielding and bulb placement they can work nicely. So kiss my hairy ass.

Look at the MANY comparison threads and websites about a halogen headlight without an HID kit vs a halogen housing with HID vs a true projector HID headlight..... the one that ALWAYS looks worse and is worse for other drivers is the halogen/full reflector housing with HID kit.

These "kits" may make a brighter light.... but they're unreliable, and are worse for everyone.

@rotor13 I use to have HID's in my full reflector headlights and never gave a shit about other drivers. Now that i have an s15 with projector lens, people with the HID kits in full reflectors piss me off. Projectors are just better anyway...more effective than HID's in full reflectors :)

I guess if you want HID's You should just spend the extra money and get new headlights with projector lenses or at least to a retrofit.
