  • This was in the Costco bathroom and it was amazing. Dried my hands in like 5 seconds.

  • Has anyone ever measured the noise produced by these wretched machines? They are deafening. Dyson should be sued for damaging peoples' hearing.

At the end of the day you can't beat the machines you find in publics toilets in Germany which automatically dispense a length of towel when you put your hands up to them. That's it - the pinnacle of hand-dryers. Everything else is a waste of time, including all the nonsense "innovations" from Dyson.

  • @jaffacake1578

Then why are you asking people on a video posting website?

  • so it works about 80% and the water drips on the floor.. well that sucks -.-'

  • $1199

  • worst design ever... when I am in a pubblic toilet I do want to touch less things possible and those idiots from Dyson makes an and dryer that force you to pass from a narrow space where strong air makes you touch the dirty yellow rubber shit that everybody touches every time they use this stupid handdryer. TRADITIONAL HANDRYER WORKS THE SAME AND THEY DO NOT MAKE ME TOUCH ANY SHIT.

  • They have these at Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee. They work pretty well.

  • memebase(.)com/2011/07/16/memes-rage-comics-sweet-jesus-have-dryness/#comments

  • Thumbs up if memebase got you here!

  • @resoloser im thumbing you down because we memebase users are above begging for thumbs up. we are suppose to be the one keeping people in check for doing those things. come on dude.

  • Damn you future! Why can't you just let me use paper towels. Those have ALWAYS worked D:

  • Shit dryer, nothing sanitary about it! You hands hit the sides as other people's hands do, and the water from your hands get blown back up in your face.

  • @tutoo5 Actually the water is getting blown down. That's why he said there is a little water below that drips down the side. Also, you probably wouldn't hit the sides, the air coming from both sides would keep your hands from getting close. So both your points wrong...

  • fascinating...

  • adore dyson, however, why would one have to WIPE the dryer off? if one were simply to attach it to the wall upside down, or at least shouldn't it be designed to be placed on the wall to insert one's hands from the bottom in order NOT to be dripping onto the dryer at all. Rather a little towel matt on the floor or a shelf not to far below the dryer if hands were to drip. At lest it wouldn't be dripping on the actual dryer then and less wiping of the dryer would be required. Just a thought.

  • got one in my kitchen and tolets, this saves washing the towls

  • $1300 for a blade of air???? Ill pay $30 for a fan

  • Nice bathroom for a car dealership

  • It cost $1,299.00 for 1 . I wanted it for my house :[

  • I understand all of the negative comments because of the filthiness, but where is the love for how advanced humans have got. Went from taking a shit, then eating of the same hand without the thought of washing your hands, to drying your hands in some high tech dryer.

  • I hate these stupid hand toasters. "Antibacterial lining", sure. I'm going to trust that in the train station after a dozen million people used it and the janitors do nothing to maintain it. F that noise. Dyson overrates himself as a designer, going in his own commercials and bragging about his geniusness. The high powered normal hand dryers are better. Paper towels are better yet. Piss off, Dyson.

  • How expensive. I'd buy one of these for my house.

  • His hand is still wet FAIL.

  • a) Would now be a good point to mention that the dryer sides have an antibacteria coating...

b)i have a problem where my hands go to one end, then get blown to the other, and get blown back and forth at like 10 times a seconds -_-

  • A big fart in this fan would be fun

  • People who complain about hygiene are ridiculous. Do you remember when everyone used the same lever style paper dispensers? For the amount of germs we encounter everywhere else in a day, complaining about the possability touching the sides is ridiculous.

  • They have these at the mall... HATE THEM... people touch the surfaces ALL THE TIME

  • can you get bacon from this dryer, lol

  • wth my imperial college's toilet use this o_o

  • The first time I tried this, I was like 'Bloody hell". Only places that I saw these were at services in France and Disneyland Paris.

  • Dyson Air Blade FTW. It can't be any dirtier then anything else. The typical blowers take so much time and the Air Blade is faster then anything I've ever used.

  • I work at a quick service restaurant and we have automatic hand dryers that blow down (your typical gas station blower). Next time you go into a public washroom with a typical hand dryer look at the wall beneath the blower--guaranteed it will be streaked with black dirt and grime. As well the dryer is usually filthy underneath too. Don't kid yourself, people don't clean their hands as well as you may think. No one uses soap properly.

  • @formerxphile Water as hot as you can stand, use soap, and wash long enough to sing the happy birthday song. That's stuck with me since grade 7 foods class.

  • This son of a bitch activates every time someone opens the door to the bathrooms.

  • This "THING" is just epic! I saw it while cleaning my hands and thought "wtf is this? Dyson? It has to be good...". I put my hands into it and wondered... Wow, thats really an "AIRBLADE", so i dryed my hands very long (ok, they were dry after 10 secs :D) , cuz it was so much fun xD.

  • Watch how it is done correctly on my channel

  • So the hand driers got over priced, copied, slower and uglier? why not go home and get a paper towel? why use this THING that does not much...

"It scrapes the water off not evaporating it" well it isn't the first of itš kind lier!

  • I like how James Dyson trys to take credit for "inventing" a hand dryer that Mitsubishi trademarked in 1993 and are EVERYWHERE in Asia, including the antibacterial coatings. His "inspiration" was traveling and stealing. But... definitely like using these machines over the cheap "evaporating" style gas station blowers. Sucks to have to touch the dirty door handle on the way out, though! Hahaha.

  • I love the Dyson Airblade dryers, they are amazing. We have them at UWWC and they work wonders

  • click the soccer ball to experience the best world cup movies

  • It works. Plus it makes going to the washroom more fun!

  • With so much sheer power in such a thin blade of air it easily chops off hands in no time. :D

  • So awesome!

  • Warning: Electical shock hazard. May cause injury or death. Don't use with wet hands.

  • You saved money on paper towels but how much money did you waste on water when the 99% of people using it accidentally brushed their hand across the filthy surface of the dryer and then decided to re-wash their hands? I cannot believe the number of people buying into the hype of this stupid dryer!

  • @SeikoPsycho I am happy you provided such reliable statistics!

  • I dont like it, you will still need to wipe that water left on your clothes, sorry Dyson, you failed on this one.

  • what model did you get and how much was it, please?

  • I absolutely hate this dryer. If you're not getting water drops shooting up towards your face you're playing "don't touch the sides" like the game "operation" for fear of the germs the many people have left from touching it before you. Dryers that point down are much better for hygeine and use (what if it's raining out and you want to dry your backpack, pants, shoe a bit?

  • @newguy33X So true.

  • @newguy33X Really? How about when you touch the handle of the door to exit the bathroom? And you know, there are people that don't wash their hands ;)

  • @gnuman1 That's a mistake of the common bathroom too. They should be pull to enter, push to exit. If there are paper towels, I use them to open the door. If not, I grab the handle at a place that 99% of people wouldn't. Yeah, it's anal, but there are microbes that cause everything from cancer to STD's, so I pay a little extra attention to hygeine.

  • @newguy33X

You know 99% of people think when exiting washrooms "I know i'll grab the part of the handle that I reckon 99% of most people won't"

  • @newguy33X generally, people who are drying their hands off have just washed them, so their hands are clean when they put them in the dryer. But of course there are always people who don't wash thoroughly, so I see your point.

  • @newguy33X I agree I really try not to touch the sides when I use it but its really not that difficult for me, but one thing I cant help but notice is, isnt your hand supposed to be clean when it goes in there anyways.

  • @Aerolineas747 People don't take the time to wash their hands properly, or they touch things afterwards (like the faucet knobs).

  • @newguy33X umm have fun playing don't touch that handrail/doorknob/many other useful devices in this world in fear of other people having touched them...and its not even as bad as those because most people will have washed their hands right before using it.... and its a hand drier..not a clothes drier, use an umbrella and/or raincoat

  • Comment removed

  • @newguy33X wrong

  • @newguy33X Except that they generally suck for drying your actual hands.

  • @newguy33X well if its raining outside they make umbrellas. These machines not only cut costs of operation but are very efficient compared to the old hand dryers. please don't be the guy with your pants off next to the sinks underneath the hand dryer. no one likes him. he makes thing awkward.

  • @newguy33X well those that point down just suck up the bathroom air and blows it out

  • west salem? like marion county salem?

  • @carrollshelbyfan No, West Salem, WI :}

  • why is it in the stall, instead of out by the sinks where it would actually make sense?

  • @placidair That is not a stall. That is the whole restroom.

  • @BrenengenAuto hmmmmyeah, i thought it would be beside the hand basin

  • Saves the costs of bin liners, paper towel and soap.

  • how does it cut costs on soap?

  • @mattsprinter they make a cool fan too.

  • I've used the airblade before and it says so on the machine. Just found this on the i-net:

"....You then move your hands in an up and down motion as the instructions on the device indicate. The force of the air works like a squeegee and scrapes the water off your hands..."

  • no he's doing it correctly. but whatever fits you i guess...

  • @Moon240386

It says on the unit to put hands in and pull up SLOWLY one time. Bouncing your hands up and down in it will not dry them faster. This one motion basically PULLS the water off your hands. If done too fast it will not work properly.

  • i used one of these once and it was pretty cool. except i didn't know you were supposed to slip your hands slowly out Xs

  • it is hygienic [hai‹dzi:nik]

  • we have this on campus and it's my favorite dryer everrrr :D

  • coolest invention next to A/C

  • there in union station chicago

  • i just heard them talk about it on the radio i had to have a look lol exciting stuff!

  • scary

  • @tonymagona334 I'm with you...scary as shit!

  • The claim Dyson made was 12 seconds.
