@AmySatin Sorry to say that the area of woodland where this artifact was hidden has been cleared and I can't find the distinctive three trunked tree. I guess the Lock seal will remain undiscovered until someday in the distant future, it is found by accident.
I would love a print of "Stuka over Steephill" as I am a plane nut and spent umpteen childhood holidays at Steephill, staying in the large white cottage on the Western end as well as the cottage next to your familys.
This is my great-grandfather, my grandmother was his daughter Phyllis Louise Playle-Howard. Please feel free to get in touch, as I had no idea there was a tenuous relationship between us!

i got the book "sprit of the stones" brought for me as a child. Back then i didnt relise what it was all about .
But after moving house last week i found the book hidden in a box. so i decided to look throught it again. i got so into it i went onto your website and read all the hints.
So with these extra hints i am hoping to make some sence of it finaly.
Hi Jamie. Its so pleasing to know that people are still interested in Spirit of the Stones. I had intended to video visits to the places where the Lost Talismans were hidden. However, life takes unexpected turns and we are now battling with other problems, so for the time being, I'll not be doing much on YT. I do have some new ideas but they'll have to wait!
Sorry but for the moment, I can add little more regarding the Lost Talismans than I have already said on YT.
I was also wondering if you had a email address? as i was going to go in search of the stones soon. although i may not find anything i still have hope (even after all these years) so any help would be much apriciated from anyone reading this.
thanks for your time reading this and look forward to hearing from John or anyone soon
I loved visiting the Isle of Wight vicariously in this way, listening to an islander spinning yarns, showing his paintings, and touring the sights. I bet few tourists come away with as much local lore stuffed into their heads as we got from this great video.
Thanks again for your time and comment. You demonstrate how verse should be performed. I do urge everyone to view "The cremation of Sam McGee" by Robert Service spoken by Urgelt on YouTube.
Thanks for posting this video. I loved Steephill cove and the cliff walks arround that area when I was growing up. Went back to this Summer and it is still a lovely and friendly beach/area. I never knew about the Stuka - walking along that bit of cliff will never be the same! I enjoyed seeing the old photos and hearing the stories. thanks again Steve
Hi Steve. Thanks for your comment. Yes, Steephill Cove is a super place! I hope to be placing more of this kind of stuff on YouTube soon. Regards John H W
Did you ever check to see if the Lock Seal was still there, John?

Hello weepeel123. Only a few people know of this artifact. It has never been discovered near its triple trunked tree.: Review 340
