  • The only good thing about this movie was the accuracy of the costumes and fight sequences. The rest is a shitty propaganda take on a great UKRAINIAN novel. The true Zaporozhian cossacks never fought for fucking Russia.

  • no z tym listem to dojebali hahahha

  • A great story! Not enough people read Taras Bulba. It is a classic!

  • Fame- HAHAH- gooood, LOL!!!

why russian must lie about my country?(I'm a polish and I'm proud about it) they attacked us and talking- "You are fucking attackers!" Yes, yes... ok... We are bad because we don't want to be killed? yes, we are bad people... Rather than give up after we made the resistance of coarsely...

  • can someone tell me please if you know, movie about cossaks, not so old,my brother say to me that is great but he can't remember the name of the movie, and it isn't Taras Bulba 2009???

Gdyby chcieli mogli by nas zbombardować i ani was ani mnie już by nie było. żal mi was, pozdrowienia MichaU

  • @MiChau109 zawsze byliśmy słabsi?? Orsza 1514, Cudnów 1660 ,kłuszyn 1610 i wiele wiele innych bitew mówią same za siebie. a o husarii mnie nie ucz ,bo pisałem o niej prace magisterską , a mam zamiar napisać książkę chłopcze

  • omg what a shit lol

  • the old version with yul bryner is better

  • Why the hell is the trailer in Russian? This is a UKRAINIAN story.

  • @shadowgirl43421 I believe here its being marketed to a Russian audience haha

  • Omg, how can I get this movie in BRazil. Is there a DVD subtitled version of it for sell?

  • I was born in Zaporighya, Zaporizka Sich there is my home, FUKIN LYOHA KURWATA NE

  • Looks like a very nice film!

  • And I enjoy reading shit posted by stupid Americans whom are totally ignorant of the history of the Rus (Pyc). Russian and Ukrainians both have a shared history and culture. The tactic of the West is to set us apart and "divide & conquer". I am Kuban Cossack and we speak "Balachka" not Ukrainian. For the most part we speak Russian. Go back to school you dumbasses.

  • i watched this movie its very good ... greetings from serb land of montenegro brother russians :D

  • the century hairstyles forgot!

  • In 16th century there was no such country as Ukraine. It was Rus and "the Ukraine" was a part of it. Study russian history before writing comments.

  • Fuck the Hussars as they no longer exist. I am Kuban Cossack and Pravoslavie. I would rather die than accept the heresy of papism. I am NOT Ukrainian.

  • to many backwards R's!

  • I have never ever expected that Russians can make bigger shit than 1612. It is Putin's propaganda! Why do Cossacks speak Russian instead Ukrainian when polish haracters speak Polish? Ths film shows Ukraine as part of Russia.

Kurwa!

  • @arkadiusz432

historical movies are the best movies.c'est a dire shut up and dont make critics/why in Taras Bulba from 1962 ,Taras speaks english?a?he was maybe from SHeffield?SHUT UP

  • Kuban Cossacks serve sovereign Great Russia along with every other cossack host whether they be Don, Kuban, Kalmyk etc. Not one host will ever fight for the Ukraine. The ones living in eastern Ukraine are loyal to Russia and fight for it alone. They sent miltias to fight alongside Russian forces in the Georgian conflict and even cossacks in the Ukraine wish to enter cossack units in the Russian army. They will even fight against the Ukraine.

  • My lachy i tak was lubimy w pewnym sensie.

  • ...braco rusi,gledah film i odusevljen sam...sve pohvale...

To same...Wy możecie mieć Swoje bajki a My nie ?

    Odp:

  • Haha... good one- i saw it today... In this movie died more polish hussars than in all XVII century^^ ...well sad truth is that some Poles treat Corssack like peasants (or like shit) so they create rebellion. It was shame for us (Poles) to loose so good fignters. Together we could rule all east europe but we both had make some mistakes. ;)

SLAVA UKRAINA! VIVAT POLONIA! ...and sorry for my english :P

  • ruska propaganda

  • Best Movie

  • cossacks lived on ukraine lands, but they whore many nations under one flag... nice movie

  • fikcja literacka...

    raczej wroga propaganda

To same...Wy mozecie miec Swoje bajki a My nie ?

  • hahah nawet trailer kiczowy jak sto chujów :D

  • Sick bastards, ukrainian cosaks (who all almost died in the war against the russia) dancing "kozachok", screaming "for mother russia!", what is that shit? Propaganda machine, and you stupid scumbag, if you think its don't.

  • Those morons lost last drop of conscience. Taras Bulba was russian? Are you kidding me? Why not english, or japanese?

  • wtf? i havent seen the movie but in the book i read, andriy never has nothing more than a hold of hands with the girl ....

  • @anmaclu

    lol

because author wrote his novel for smart audience of 19th century, which knows what must be done between man and woman when they loves each other lol

ofc he will not write in details private scenes, it's not a porn lol

  • Everyone who does not see propagandistic overtones of Neo-Soviet "paid off" cinematography is either an imbecile or a Russian chauvinist with no knowladge of history. The opening speech about Russian (!?) culture delivered by a Ukrainian (!!) warlord to Ukrainian (!!) cossacks is an example of such backwards moronic alteration of historical truths. It is sad that Russia took the path of propagandistic agenda instead of cultural exchange.

  • It should be appreciated Russians made this movie about Ukrainian kozaks but I liked more the 1962 "Taras Bulba" movie. This Russian movie is no more than a soviet-era propaganda.

  • propaganda? who is thinking this is propaganda is a retard of all times dudes, this movie shows how they tought in their times, for what they killed and why. for example for their religion like every country in these days. thats because I hate religion, it splits people and let them kill each other for the name of god. How fucking stupid...

  • First of all, you should all learn English properly before you start insulting other people's standard of English. Second, what is all this bullshit about Cossacks being Ukrainian? Ukrainian history my arse. There was never any such concept of an independent Ukrainian state. There was only Rus and the principalities within it. Consequently Zaporozhian cossacks can't possibly be called 'Ukrainian'. All you friggin 'Ukrainians' should just get over your made up country and reunite with Russia...

  • nashi chornozem

  • 1. Ogniem i Mieczem

    2. Taras Bulba

    3. 1612 (it's a fucking Movie)

  • i za nashu UKRAINU.

  • P R O P A G A N D A - communist bulshit

  • @maximus1939 are you nuts? Where did you see red pigs? This is not about commies, this is about cossacks - proud and freedom-loving people of Zaporizhia, Ukraine, 17th century. Don't judge the things you don't know.

  • @maximus1939 ur a kid u dont know shit how bout u learn some history, and a proper use of the word PROPAGANDA.................oh and learn how to spell bullshit

  • taras bulba i 1612 to jakiś krap, ruskie dawno kopa w dupe nie dostały

  • Jerema

  • Harnaś piwo po zbóju xD na końcu by to dali

  • hopeless film...

  • This is a pretty dumb propaganda film, created for people with no knowledge of history or the short story by Gogol. The acting is bad, the mediocre screenplay has very few lines, all the cossacks speak clean Russian language which is impossible considering the time of the time. One may enjoy the 1962 film with Yul Brynner more, as at least it was more accurate than this politicized peace of garbage.

  • @Leshenka i like what you speak here, the cossack came from many nations, but they whore ukrainian cossacks, ( zaphorossian cossacks)

in this movie, like in others, you can see the customs they had on that times, the clothes, and the "slava"....

  • we should stop insulting each other and help each other to built better future for our children

Slava Ukrainie Slava Rosji Slava Polsce ^^

  • @vnavdulov

Actually I unerstood 90% od the trailer without knowing Ukrainian. Does that make Poland one ethnicity with Russia, Belorussia and Ukraine ? ;)

  • Rezać rezunów i swołocz, rezać. Jarema wiedział co robić. Na paliki.

  • I wish Netflix might one day have this movie.

  • OMG ppl calm down...

Sienkiewicz is also not an ideal history ;]

Does Poles has shown themselves at "Ogniem i mieczem" as barbarians? No!

So what do you wanetd to see here?

That the cossacks will have been showed like idiots, who cannot face Hussars?

I piszcie z łaski swojej po angielsku.

And... even if Russians make such strange movie, it doesn't mean that smart Ukrainians will take a saber and charge our border next day -_-

  • pijani ten film robili

  • pojebani ruscy ......nawet filu nieumieja zrobic ...takie bzdury,.,.,.,.,

  • Zakłamana historia.. no cóż..

  • Comment removed

  • Lol my nickname i gaved from my painting some creature i named it Djebulba xD and i have invented other bulbas xD lol what the fuck does the bulba mean :D Great movie btw.

  • Tak jak 1612...ta sama moskiewska bajka... Ocena jest jedna "0" Zero prawdy historycznej.

  • Hey Marussia, do'nt forget that Russia had also Kozaks and even more than Ukrain, we have still Kozaks in Krasnodar region: kubanskie kozaki, donskie, look the mouvie 'Tihi Don""-"Silent Don". Our Kozaks have fight in WW1 and WW2 and won in Berlin.

  • @alan1029384756 they also accompanied Nazis in slaughter of polish civilians during Warsaw Uprising.

  • @minusss666 bullshit, they fought never against civilians, brainwash in your country.

  • @alan1029384756

check the internet for yourself, here's the hint:

    jakub bondarenko

    third regiment of cossacks

    sonderkommando dirlewanger

  • woah. Since when are kozaks russian? I realize that history has blurred some distinctions, but kozaks are traditionally and generally considered Ukrainian progenitors. Gogol, who wrote Taras Bulba, was considered a Russian writer and perhaps rightly so, but he was Ukrainan born and raised. A Russian writer writing about what is fundamentally a Ukrainain history - confusing to say the least. However, to claim the Zapporizhian kozaks were Russian would most certainly be incorrect.

  • @Marusia71 wow u need to learn history.....hopefully ur not Ukranian....otherwise ur bringing great shame to our nation

  • Comment removed

  • OMG what aeccentricity... Why the Russian low-budget films Poles are always shown as only winged-hussars. That was our best unit and so did not fight with the peasants...

These units have been involved only in major battles!

So let the crappy Russian films are no longer used for propaganda and lie to history...

I like Ukrainians but that's Russians films are shit!

  • read the book first mate!

  • I'm tired of great numbers of Cossack who die in the movie saying "for russian land", WTF? They were fighting for themselves with russians and poles for their motherland. Not for Russia, not for Poland.

  • @Silpion

    Read the book idiot.

  • Sorry, but for me, and in general i like russian movies, but this is a poor patriotistic religiosistic educational movie for military academies.... And the portrait of the jew is ridiculous.

I should read the book maybe :)

  • Najlepsze co mogli zrobić kozacy w starciu z polską husarią to szybko uciekać. Fajnie, że do dziś nasza husaria budzi strach. Amor Patriae Nostra Lex.

  • hhaahahhha

  • Romanticized because Taras' son Ostap falls in love with a Polish girl. It's a Romeo: Juliet complication which becomes a handicap for the old man.

  • trzeba zrobic film o dymitriadach

i co wtedy robili kozacy zaporoscy

  • If you learnt history, you would know that Russians and Ukrainians is one Great people. ;) Even 1st capital of the Great Rus was Kiev. I'm half Cossack. It seems to me that you simply don't know history.

  • o.O wow!!! I didn't knew that!!! woooooooooow! that's ukranian land and don't say anything else!

  • Man, I repeat, this is not Ukrainian land, no country Ukraine. Do you know what means Ukraine in English? Outlying districts of Russia, what means Ukraine in English. Before this name, was Little Russia. So go to learn history, and don't tell uneducated bullshit. ;)

1.Many lands of Ukraine are Russian lands, for example Donetsk, Kharkiv, Crimea.

2.Many lands were taken by Russia from Poland, Hungary, Turkey and were given to Ukrainian people. ;)

    Go to learn history. ;)

  • omg you're so fucking stupid! I'm ukranian I know ukranian history! fuck you noob!

  • Like we see, you don't know Ukrainian history. :)) Read my posts, and you will know. You're just brainwashed burdock, who even don't know your own history. Please read history book before dispute.

  • omfg! you just continue saying all the same bullshit! stop it and fucj away asshole!

  • @13131313Paulo Russia take North Bassarabia and Bucovina from Romania and give to Ukraine!!

  • hahahhahahhahaha ale komedia XD

  • bedzie sie z czego posmiac

  • sehen aus wie die schlümpfe

  • Taras Bulba is just as real as William Wallace. His prototype is Yakov Ostryanin, also called Ostryanitsa. In the year 1638 he was the leader of one of the many anti-Polish uprisings .

  • @PernatyZmey But William Wallace was a true historical character. It is well documented that he really lived and was executed by Edward The Longshanks in London Tower.

  • @minusss666 Wallace was legally executed for being the traitor he was to his majesty Edward I King of the British peoples.

  • this kind of argument always happens between you polish ukranians and russians, just face the facts you got owned by the russians and this is portrayed clearly in the movie, nuff said.

about the ukrainians complaining, saying ukrain wasnt part of russia, but didnt russia pay to the cossacs to deffend their borders? how the fuck do you think these guys were funded?

  • Cossacks fought for Cossacks, and they were funded by Polish, Russians, and Tatars. They were warriors who valued freedom above anything else, and happen to live on Ukrainian land. They didnt want to be subordinate to Tsar, Polish, or Tatar rule, that is why so many of them rebelled against the Tsar, such as Khmelnytski and Mazepa to name a few.

  • Believe me Gogol it was better to know kazak, you see it is not simple with sleep has written this story, and in detel studied a history kazak. And you nothing knowing having looked cinema (Maybe just trailer) have scarified

    Russian history.

  • What!!! Russia PROPAGANDA! Nothing of the kind!!! It`s dosen`t matter what you think. If you think so, you don`t know RUSSIA and you don`t know That it is cinema was is removed on motives Nikolai Gogol "Taras Bulba".

You not accept the great and brave Russian people, Russian kazak and you think , that all that speak to you it the truth. It not so.

  • @ReginaMinStar errr you should learn English hard before starting the discussion. You sound poor and totally unconvincing. Speaking of me, I can't understand what the hell are you talking about. Are you disagree or what?

  • @ReginaMinStar Nashe zemlaya, Rossiya????? I know Russia. My parents escaped Russia, and "Uncle Joe's" tender ministrations. The Steppes are our lands. You stole them!! We are now free. And that is what really galls you. No Cyrrillic on this machine, but, V'dupieme Rosiya. I V'dupieme Cosialiste. Boh Karaie, Putin. The "great and brave" Russian had no choice with a gun at his head. Call me wrong. We'll have a great debate on this channel. =Stefan=

  • @ReginaMinStar It seems you need to refresh your history a bit and perhaps geography as well. Zaporojskaya Sech was and on the territory of Ukraine. In 1775 Sech was annexed by Catherine the Great. And Bulba by the way was Ukrainian not Russian.

God forbid you actually read a history book but even if you check out wikipedia you'll be unpleasantly surprised on the lack of factual support for your hasty remarks.

  • @ukrainik first off ur a biased dumbass, second idk maybe ur right maybe i am russian......i was born in ukraine nd my documents say im ukrainian my family is ukrainian....idk ye ur right Im russian

  • @vixvis

LOL very informative comment! Oh I totally bought it - you are a proud Ukrainian. Now tell me, is that why on your profile under hometown it says: Russia:) very pathetic attempt, buddy. You are not even smart enough to cover your tracks a bit.

  • @ukrainik lol buddy way to point out the obvious yes my home town is Russia because i happen to have a home in Russia dont think u know anything about me or where im from just by reading my profile, hmph you are obviously a Western Ukrainian Hick, an uneducated piece of horse shit, do me a favor and fuck off.

  • @vixvis

  • @ukrainik oh my bad that was a typo, go cry to some one who cares. My words to u

  • @vixvis

BTW learn how to conjugate in your "native" language. lol

  • @ukrainik bla bla bla all u do is bitch,

  • @ReginaMinStar Ukrainian Kozak) Not russian

  • "Ogniem i mieczem" (By fire and sword" ) its better... Taras Bolba its nothing special.. just like 1612

  • just watched that movie last night for the first time in like 8 years

love it makes me proud to be polish

  • Because Russians can make movies objectively unlike Americans. Americans always show that they are the best and other Nations are just stupid morons. For example American movies about Chinese, Russians, Germans, Frenchmen, Mexiacans.

Remember great Russian film about WW2 "Liberation", Russians showed Poles like brave and good people. Russians even showed Nazis as great warriors, they didn't jeer at Nazis.

  • I cannot find that movie on YT ;] Could you please give me a link? I would be thankful ;]

  • in battle of kłuszyn 5000 polish hussars masarced 40000 russian army, there one weak armored man beat 4 fully armored hussars, haha... russian propaganda

  • No historical facts, its fantasty movie. Russia propaganda :)

  • There are actually some historical facts to this movie: (1) It based on a novel writen by Gogol, a Ukrainian writer of the 19th century. The movie script is very close to the book. (2) The story is supposed to have happend at the time of the Pereyaslavl Treaty (middle 17th century) between Muscovy and the Ukrainian Hetmanate. The cossacks rebellions are part of a greater background, i.e. the Russo-Polish war. At the end of the war, the Ukrainian Hetmanate became independant from Rzeczpospolita

  • There are not historical facts, only facts with books- books what did not historical facts.

  • Man, if you didn't know Russia took lands from Poland, Ottoman Empire and Nungary and gave them to Ukraine. ;)

  • No. I know it's the zaporozhian cossacks who have conquered or liberated lands.

Sorry for my English, I'm more fluent in Ukrainian :).

  • A new martial society—the Cossacks (free man) was beginning to evolve in Ukraines southern steppe frontier. Their centre was the Sich, an armed camp in the lands of the lower Dnieper beyond the rapids (za porohy) Zaporizhzhya.

  • This trailer looks WAY WAY different from the other one. the other one made it look half way decent. this looks cheesy

  • looks better than 1612 lol, no unicorns, no dudes shooting a crosbow while submerged in tha water, no magic :D

  • Ukrayna je Rasyjska!!
