it's cute i have to say, but think about how cruel those budgies are treated. he gets them to run when he puts his hand near them they run away, that's how they do the tricks and budgies hate traveling i would know i have two of them. this deserves a dislike who can u guys just sit there and watch poor little budgies trembling in front of a huge loud audience and being forced with rops around their necks like a reindeer? sickening.

@poohbearlover1297 I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but I think the budgies aren't really that scared. They can still fly, it's really obvious they can, and if they were really that scared, they'd just fly away. Even if they were well trained, if they were scared, they wouldn't ignore their instinct. Just a thought.

@poohbearlover1297 I have a lot of experience with budgies and believe me, he must've spent lots of time with them to make them do this, its not all a trick. Also, the budgies wouldn't try to run away. They would fly away and even if their wings happened to be clipped, they would bite then.

@poohbearlover1297 I'm afraid I'm going to have to jump onto the commentary bandwagon here; just how much research have you done on your budgies? How much did you pay attention to the way they were behaving in this performance? If you honestly knew anything about parrots, you would know that it is impossible to train them through fear. You would also know that they understand loud noise as encouragement for their behaviors, hence why you shouldn't yell at them for screeching or biting.

@BOSSSNIK11 properly trained animals are never threatened. They are given treats and rewards for a job well done. And taken care of. There is abuse in certain circles, and animal trainers frown upon that. The relationship between the trainers and the animals is very special.

No animal performs well unless it's healthy and has a fantastic relationship with their fellow human performer. ESPECIALLY birds. You can guilt a dog into making it sit. Use agression with a bird and you'll get a very uncooperative finger-biter. Well-cared for animals "obey more" because they love pleasing their caretakers, not because they're lonely - give them more credit than that.

@VASINGER nah , i really play with my little budgie all day ,he chirps and sings and molests my hand and when he's all fluffed up he either wants me to scratch him or he bites me and i let him be. And when you get him out of his cage if you dont play with him he wants to go back in his cage, and i usually get his water and food out so he can stay and play longer. I like to see he is happy. He knows some tricks but i didn't teach him, he just knew em. So i'm happy with him

This act is PERFECT! These little birds are so well trained and, not using food for "treats", so fat and happy (you can see them "kissing" in the video)

Wow I met Norman Barrett tonight at Zippos circus where he is ringmaster and also did this act which was Flawless. Mr Barrett is now 74 years old and a very able ringmaster. We had a good chat, he was an associate of the late great clown Charlie Carolli at Blackpool.

I saw Norman Barrett on TV every week when I was a boy on "Right Charlie". Then I took my little boy to see Zippo's Circus and blow me down he was the ringmaster there! I was thrilled to meet him before the show and my litlle lad loved the 'birdies'!
