the skyline is basically a different model. consisted of a coupe and a sedan. as a matter a fact you still see the skyline today in the infiniti g37 coupe and sedan which are called skyline to this day in japan. the skyline gtr was a sports version that came in coupe only form. nissan ended production of the skyline gtr in 2001 and reintroduced the gtr as an all new sports car model so it could move into a premium sports car class.

i can tell you that my friend has a GT-R and yes its fast, but in a race with a ZO6 the GT-R will get the jump, but by the time the ZO6 is going into 4th gear it will pass the GT-R and walk it till it tops out!

well i agree to some point, but you have to give the corvette credit where it due! I personally do not like corvettes before 2005, they all suck to me, but 2005 and up, chevy did some of their homework, and put out i think is the best corvette and car for the money. I am not a Chevy guy at all, just giving them credit where its due. And for the new ZR1 its a beast. i am looking to find a sports car in its price range to spank it. Looking forward for the GT-R spec V.

The GT-R is badass no doubt, it is also a piece of absolute technological wonder. I have driven both and I think the ZR-1 would walk on the GT-R in a drag race. As far as future value, the ZR-1 will have lower production numbers, but only time will tell.

u got to remember that the zr1 has over a 100hp more which makes that a different category the gtr was built to go against the ferrari f430 and posrche 911's which makes it a gt2 category the corvette on the other hand is a gt1 catgeory

I prefer the M3. First, if you want 5 seats and 4 doors, you can get the sedan which has equal performance with the coupe. Second, the IS-F is not as good looking as the M3. The M3 handles more freely while the IS-F is a bit too heavy.

Cant compare the Zr1 to the GTR. Its is the base model. You could only compare it to the z06 When the VSPECII comes out then you can compare it to the Zr1

seriously.. chevy probably made the zr1 specifically to outdo the gt-r. just like when the nsx came out a while back. the other car manufacturers were so worried because the nsx was so light, and aerodynamic. that they started upping the performance on their vehicles. so this is good for car lovers like us. it drives them to compete in this free market economy so that we can have better and faster cars.
