i think you would use your current cell phone provider. like T-Mobile or Verizon (examples, of course). Then pop in the SIM card.

That means he used a X_SIM before the software unlock was possible. Just remove the stealthsim/Hypersim any one of those and do this unlock

Depends, if your in a Country were Iphone not being Sold, when you unlock using that method, you need to install Iworld from Installer, it adds support for most countries, but with 1.1.4 if you restore im not sure if you'll need that mate. Anything else just email or message me :)
