  • This video is so sad... :(((

What's the name of the song?

  • We will never forget you!

  • amm. That wasn't Helmut koinigg's crash.

  • Actually, at 4:43 it's Cevert's crash, not Koinigg's... Koinigg's car went underneath the barrier and poor Helmuth got decapitated...

  • Good work. RIP.

  • Poor Robert...Purly tried to Save him. But...

  • jim clark one of the best but he didnt die in f1 sadly missed

  • nice video, but is the sad history of F1. The dark side of F1.

  • La musica s'abbina benissimo al video...

  • ik zou rudulf wundering graag ontmoeten michael

  • nel video manca Elio De Angelis!!!

  • Zsuu:) You didnt forgot Purley!!!Great!

  • I think that the photo used for Helmuth Koinigg was incorrect. That looked like the vehicle of Francois Cervert. Konigg 's car went underneath a guard rail and he was decapatated.

  • I have 21 drivers that was missed in this list which does included Jim Clark........... hummm!!

  • Tribute to the F1 drivers part two!

  • jim clark perished in a f2 incident april of 1968 at hockenheim germany. not an f1 incident!!! jimmy is one of my favorite all time drivers of f1 though!! (and should be of everyone!)

  • @Muis0260 and graham hill

  • @Muis0260 jim clark died in a formula 2. Not formula 1. You are wrong.

  • no jim clark........????????????????

  • yes my assumption would be down to the fact that jim clark did not die in a formula 1 race he died in a formula 2 race. So whilst he is one of the legendary drivers of f1 to have a premature end, he wasnt killed in f1

  • and no elio de angelis? D:

  • Tribute to the F1 drivers part two!!!!!

  • ellio de angelis

  • Tribute to the F1 drivers part two

  • Peter Revson was a formula one winner also. March 22 1974 Kyalami testing.

  • please remove the picture pf ratzenberger at 7:09 cuz we are supposed to salute there lives not here deaths

  • Helmut Koining 4:43 is a error, the picture on 4:43 is the accident of Francois Cevert.

  • Checked the date. Pedro Rodriguez died 11th July 1971 at Norisring Nüremberg.

  • Nice vid - but you forgot PEDRO RODRIGUEZ of Mexico - died July l971 (Somebody please correct me if I have the date wrong) thanks.

  • Ronnie Peterson was the fastest driver in the Seventies

  • R.I.P David Purley and all the other drivers, their live ended too quick. Too many great men died, R.I.P

  • Brave Dave is a very good person

  • He was a hero. R.I.P. David.

  • great video. good work!

  • Thank you!!! :) Thank you so much!!! But i know.. i made too much... wrong! :( Sorry!

  • @Zitronavi69

No Jim Clark this is a pile of shit here we go again we wont put British drivers in total crap

  • i remeber watching the video of david purley trying to save roger wiliamson and i started crying knowing that he had to watch his friend die and there was nothing he could do to help :( apperently he heard roger shouting "get me out" :'(

    R.I.P rest in peace

  • los hermanos rodriguez?

  • 7:12 was not appropriate we want to remember thier life not thier gory death

  • Patrick Depailler - Elio De Angelis - Michele Alboreto R.I.P.

  • Thank you for a very moving tribute. Special thanks for including the hero David Purley. I would have preferred more smiling photos of the drivers rather than the crash scenes as I would rather remember how they lived and not how they died. That's another video altogether. There's always one who complains!!!! Sorry, it's really an excellent compilation.

  • Thank you!

  • muito bom....

    verdadeiros pilotos....

    obrigado.

    tks.

  • by sennas accident was steering whell element broken and he cannot go to corner and he braked and crashed to wall

  • Stupid copyright. Music is essencial to this video.

  • STEWARTROCKS20 : Thank you for be true. You understand F1 fans´s pain when some driver (not only in F1 category) die. I´m from Brazil and still cry for know that Ayrton Senna (R.I.P) will never be in a new season. Thanks :-(

  • How exactly did Ayron Senna die? I looked it up on wikipedia and they had several explanations, but none really made sense

  • Look up the senna files website. it has all the evidence from the court case and full explanation. In brief it is believed the steering rod snapped so Senna was unable to take the corner. The impact broke off a wheel and suspension strut pierced Sennas helmet causing his injuries and his sad death.

  • It's explained in Senna's autobio that that the actual cause of death was due to a part of the suspension coming of the wheel once the car had hit the wall and then becoming traped between the car and wall. This bit of suspention piced Ayrton's Helmet and penertrated his head just above the right eye. Although, amazing as it may seem, this would not of been enough to kill Senna. The front wheel which came off was forced back and hit him on the head. The two injuries combined were the cause.

  • ah wow....

  • Comment removed

  • When his car stepped out on him he corrected the slide and then as he went to steer the car back on its way the steering column snapped meaning he had no control over the car thats why he went straight into the wall

  • im not an F1 fan, but i respect anyone who gets behind the wheel, may they all rest in peace

  • :-) :-'(

  • It wet my eyes.

    I favorited it.

    Great vid!

  • For all Formula One fans the sport negates all prejudices of colour, creed and religion. We are truly inspired by the bravery of every driver who accepts the challenges of speed and danger associated with Formula One. Yes,we all have our favourites, but we respect them all.S These chosen few paid the ultimate price in chasing their dreams for our entertainment. Thankfully death on the racetrack is now much rarer, but its only a heartbeat away. R.I.P. Heroes.

  • But where are Steffan Bellof and Elio de Angelis?

  • I know, i know! And many other drivers!!! SORRY!

  • what's the name of the music?

  • what are this songs???

  • Nagyon szép videó!

  • Köszi! Kedves tőled!!

  • And Jim clark

  • a haunting tribute..so many..a great final touch would have been to mention the greatest fone driver of all Jim Clark..granted he was killed in a ftwo race but probably none better..as one driver said if jim was killed what chance have we..great video

  • Thank you!! :-(

  • First of all: Very good compilation, especially because you did it with pictures

But two minor things: Firstly I think you should have sticked with pictures only, which you didn't do with Villeneuve and secondly, no doubt that David Purley was a great hero, if put him into the compilation because he tried to save somebody's life, you must put many others also into it. For example, James Hunt who jumped into the fire trying to save Peterson's life or Arturo Merzario who saved Lauda's life in 76.

  • But anyway, clearly 5*

  • Yes. You're right. But i just know from Purley! Thanks, but this video isn't 5*!!! But thank you!!!!!!!!!

  • - very nice compilation....

    - ratzenberger being attended to and still wearing his balaclava....precious.

    - most of these drivers were my heroes while I was growing up and racing karts.

    - my hats off.

  • We miss the great hero's

  • Very nice tribute. great music, and some pictures I never saw before...good job !

    R.I.P to all drivers.

  • Thank you!

  • Hola maste que buen video me dirias como se llama ese tema de musica????? Gracias

  • Nice video!

Small mistake, Tom Pryce died on March 5 1977, not May 5 1977

  • Ok! Sorry and thanks!!

  • May ask you a question? What's title and singer first song in 【Tribute to F1 drivers】?

    Please tell me.

  • Performer is: Within Temptation - Our farewell!!

A great and very sad song! But I love it!!!!

  • Thank you very much.

    I'll check it.

  • Oh.. no no! Sorry! The performer from the firsxt song is Nightwish - Sleeping Sun! Sorry-sorry!!!!!!

  • thanks for reminding david Purley although it was many years ago is a hero as there has never been courage and bravery. Although could not save roger williamson whole world saw his desperate attempt to pull his friend.

Purley williamson and their names will always be united. they were never forget

  • Yes!!!! You're right!! And thank you!!!

  • thanks for reminding david Purley although it was many years ago is a hero as there has never been courage and bravery. Although could not save roger williamson whole world saw his desperate attempt to pull his friend.

Purley williamson and their names will always be united. they were never forget.

  • Forgot probably one of the best F1 drivers of all time, Jim Clark.

  • Yes, I know. Sorry! :-(((

  • I thank You Zsuu26, You're a very good man. Or Girl:)

  • Thanks!!!! And i'm a girl! ;-)

  • Good video!!!

  • Thank you!!!!

  • It's amazing that most of them died at the German grand prix.

  • not really when you consider it was the nurburgring

  • RIP To All heroes.. Francois Cevert, Helmuth Koinigg,Piers Courage And all heroes.. = (

  • Good video! But i found another small mistake: Mark Donohue died in Austra during testing, not in qualifying!

    RIP to all of them

  • Hello, I try to remember, I have been working in Zeltweg from 1975 till 1979. Mark Donohue had the accident Sunday before noon, at the "warm up". He was brought by helicopter to next hospital.

  • Yes, its true. The truth is in between, it was the warm up. He was not hurt heavily but died because of a brain hemmorrage the next day.

  • At 4:44 it's not Koinigg's crash, it's François Cevert's. Helmuth Koinigg had been beheaded by the security bareer with a frontal impact with no flips...

R.I.P. to all those greats drivers, we miss you...

  • Yes, it's true! :-( Sorry!!!!!

  • Yes.. I know! :-( And I forgot Jim Clark too. And some other drivers.. i think! But thanks!! :-)

  • Hello Zsuu26, great video, but I have some questions:

Is it true that F.Cevert was literally cut in two pieces by the guard rail?

How come, if this is true, that next year H.Koennig got decapitated by the guard rail, and the circuit hasn't been changed to these days?

Do you have other pictures of Cevert and Koennig accidents?

  • Thanks... Yes, he was a GREAT MAN!

  • This may sound like a bad joke & poor choice of words, but I read rumours that one of the drivers mentioned here was killed by a bird. Is this true?

  • Yes, that's true! The man was Alan Stacey!

  • nice video. and we will never forget david purley, he was a really hero !!!

  • There are 2 songs:

    Nightwish - Sleeping sun

    Within Temptation - Our farewell

  • very sad video!

what is rhe name of the song?

  • Yeah! You're right, i forgot Jim Clark.. but i think i forgot some driver too! :-((((

  • You forgot Clark... :(
