Well, it all really starts when I began to become interested in learning Middle Eastern languages. My neighbors are Iraqi Kurds, and one day they gave my sister a music CD from a Turkish singer Gökhan Özen. I listened to it, thought it was nice, looked up the lyrics and began to want to sing in Turkish and eventually wanted to learn the language.
After that, I briefly looked into Arabic, but almost immediately I went to Persian music. My neighbor knew some good Persian artists...
The first Persian singer I heard was Jamshid Moghadam, then Pouya. Eventually I made a search of Persian singers and began to sing their songs transliterated at first. Then I bought a teach yourself Farsi book (still haven't finished it) and began to learn the Farsi alphabet and learn vocabulary, as well as numbers, and so on. I developed a great love for the Persian language. Since then, I have been managing my time to continue learning languages. I still have much to learn.
Merci .:)
Thank you .
