Wow! Souixie, in her "flowers of romance" days. I remember them at the screen on the green. Sid Vicious couldn't play bass, but he wasn't a bad drummer.
Yeah, I think Billy went to my school - Ravensbourne.
I was about 13 t the height of Punk. I can remember some of the punks used to hang around Market Square in Bromley outside a record shop called Bonapartes. I was terrified of em!!!!! Now I love punk.
wildenfree - I grew up in Bromley (same age too!) and remember 'strange' people handing around the high street when I went to get a new pair of shoes with me mum!
Do you remember a bloke who used to walk around dressed as Bowie - a la Ziggy?
Yeah I think I do,Probably rappers dressed in Bling jewellery now. Bromleys just become another homogenised high street now.But then we had Bells Fish Shop for chips at lunch break, pop into Oxfams opposite The Fire Station, Walk into "Our Price Records", or "Bonapartes "if you were feeling brave. Ahh them were the days!!

If you pause it at the end - that is Billy Idol in the photo. He is in the middle....He was most definitely a part of the Bromley Contingent.

It is Billy idol, but he was not part of the Bromley mob, he was at the time in the band Chelsea .....

dee43dee - yes, I think so - did the singer/guitarist have a white boa - similar to Marc Bolan...?!
Other bans I remember, graffiti or otherwise include: Five O, Altair Druid, the Papers, Armageddon...(not punk necessarily...)
