I absolutely agree with JMW72358...I am learning to be a music aficionado, and this guy really sets the apex of this genre.

If you would look him up, you would find that JD passed the mantle on to him. This guy trained under Leroy Abernathy.... and can do octave jumps off the piano...

I've seen this guy in concert and that is NOT the only key they do that in. This is not the whole song. They keep droping the key til he is on the C that was mentioned. AND NO IT'S NOT A GROWL. The video clip is from a cheap video camera that does not capture the lows.

You'll hear super low notes....some are really good, some are well...okay...I love the first clip with Tim Riley hitting an Ab...he can rip some low notes, along with some of those other guys...it gets insane...

Tim Riley does an excellent job in God's Building a Church, where he buries low G (I think so) with a chest voice...Have a look!

Hm, I thought he slides few notes lower than low Ab. Are you sure, that it is contra Ab exactly?

I thought it was Ab...the one below c2, or low C...I checked it with a pitchpipe. He actually sings 2 of them. The song was in the key of A flat, but if he sings lower then cool...it was still impressive overall...
