  • i play with a bluechip pick and i love it all the other comments are true about the point there trying to make but you can't buy talent but talent takes you only so far fact if you have to have a good interment with a good set up and a good pick to finish the job thats my opinion

  • I've tried a blue chip a friend of mine from corbin KY has. He eyeballed me the entire time, making sure I didn't drop it and lose it LOL. It felt good, sounded good, but not $40 per good. I've been using the wegen big city's, like a lot of other people, and I've been happy. No offense, but if someone thinks they need a $40 pick to sound and play better, they need to hit the woodeshed and get to practicin.

  • Is it just my ears, or are you fretting, like, just one string at any time, and playing all the rest open? Maybe it's just this particular tune. If it is, though, it seems like a rather odd tune to pick for a demo.

  • The tune is called Ashes Of Mt. Augustine.

  • I feel most people do not realize how much of a difference a good pick can make. $35 is a small price to pay to improve the sound of your instrument. We do not think twice about paying $200+ for setup work and then use a pick that will not pull the tone. Try one, I know that sounds like a lot for a pick, but if you do not lose it you may not need to buy another for a very long time.

  • Blue but not cheap LOL

  • What Rhonda forgets to mention is that these picks are 35 to 40 BUCKS each! For ONE pick!

Thanks, but considering what a perfectly good sound I get with a Fender Medium (30 cents), I'll take a pass.

It's easy to get sidetracked with gimmicks like this. As long as you have a decent-sounding instrument, you can get by just fine with a very humble pick. It's far more important to play with feeling, spirit, and imagination. Without that, a three HUNDRED dollar pick won't make any difference. :?)

  • ive been looking for a pick that is thin but stiff for its thickness. is this a stif pick for its thickness

  • If you're looking for a pick that is thin but really stiff look at Dunlop Ultex or Steve Clayton Ultem.

  • Thanks. Ive since tried the ultex and love them. Had a clayton too. I just placed an order for some 1.14mm wegen bluegrass picks wout the holes.

    Thanks though
