I'd like to double the top comment on bootleggers! If it weren't for folks like you, we wouldn't be seeing this beautiful piece of history...and hearing it as well!
I saw this nshow at Radio city Music Hall -- w/o Clapton / one of the most amazing shows of my life / wish I could of saw w/ Clapton / but killa show / None of the cuurrent band can hang with the musicianship that was Rockin ole school !!!
My buddy had this on an old Maxell tape.Recorded of of WXRT in Chicago. This is the first glimps of it that I have ever seen.Thx alot man!You are totally awsome for posting this!
I missed the Wall at Nassau Coliseum in 1980 to my everlasting regret (I was only 14 yrs old) but in July 1984 , I saw Dave Gilmour at the old Pier 84 in NYC and Waters/Clapton 3 days later at the Meadowlands arena. What a week---Still remember vivdly Clapton's unbelievable vocal/guitar on 'Money' , the chair/tv setup for 'nobody's home', 'welcome to the machine'---can't wait for the Wall at MSG on Oct. 5...
Man, That was Awesome!!! The Memories..I saw Roger do this show twice in '84 at the Spectrum in Philly The first half was Floyd & the second half He played Pros & Cons & let me say i was Blown Away you had Eric Clapton on Guitar, Roger on Bass, Michael Kamen on Piano & some of the best visuals you'll ever see not to mention the Great Music...This album will always be in my top 10 it's such a Great Masterpeice Created by the Genius of Roger Waters....See you in Nov. for The Wall /O-O\
@samalo1995 Yeah Man Great concert!! I believe he opened with Set the controls to the Heart of the Sun & played Floyd 1st half then Pros & Cons 2nd Half (Fantastic) then for his Encore came back out and Sang Brain Damage/Eclipse & the Spectrum Erupted in Cheers....I also have a Bootleg copy on VHS of the entire concert that year only it was recorded in another city..Oh we were all clouded up in that place. /O-O\
this was one of the best tours ever - unfortunately these videos cannot capture the awesomeness of the three gigantic video displays that were above and played the most amazing videos for the entire show - Scarfe animations I'd never seen before or since, and lots of obsure film. I wish Rog had preserved it somehow.

lol you guys are lucky, i was at this tour in london UK and he was interrupted part way through singing "if i was a swan" and stopped playing for about 2 mins. We did not get an encore, crowd clapped for 15 mins .... but ... no encore lol . Still was a great concert .. all be it that Earls Court at that time in London was a VERY bad venue for sound quality, (even Clapton sounded bad :(
I agree Ritchie... It took all of them to make Floyd what it was. Thanks for posting tpat.... I was at this show. It was incredible and still ranks number one for me out of the many concerts I have been to. A solid set of Pink Floyd, a great intermission set up, and Pros and Cons of Hitchiking non- stop, beginning to end. Extraordinary show.
Yes, it took all four of them to make Floyd great (three, for the Final Cut). Waters was a driving force, conceptwise and lyric-wise, and Gilmour was great at music - and plays the greatest rock guitar ever. They needed each other, and they needed Mason and Wright, two vastly underrated musicains, even among some Floyd fans. It's OK to like ALL of Floyd - Dark Side, Meddle, WYWH, Animals, The Wall, The Final Cut AND the best parts of the Gilmour-led lineup. I do.
Hi whobeatle...Mason & Wright 'underrated musicians'?!?!? Really? Crikey... by whom? -They must be braindead zombies not to see their musical brilliance... Cheeers
Pro's and Cons is my joint favourite Waters solo album with Amused to death. I'm a fan of Floyd pre and post Waters and also DG and RW solo stuff. Agree that MLOR is a weak Floyd album and is now the one I least listen to. Would like to see this whole show. Thanks for post.
I agree with whomever said Pros and Cons is the best album, I cannot get enough of it. I love the Final Cut too. The wall is excellent except the radio and the posers ruin the mainstreamed songs like Comfortably Numb and Another Brick II and Run Like Hell. Frankly, I think the best songs are the simple, pure waters songs, like Vera and When the Tigers Broke Free. Gilmore won a lawsuit, but the judge cannot decide where the heart of Pink Floyd is...
Wow. I finally found YT footage of a concert I attended. I was there for this show. Floors, eighteenth row (had a friend who was a scalper.) Best seats I'd ever had for a Gardens show. Amazing show! No one used video screens better back then. He did 2 sets, one of solo stuff, Pros and Cons, then a 2nd set of Floyd classics. In between, they played an extended scene from the western Shane. - Until that night, I did not realize what a great showman Waters could be! THANKS for posting!
the material of his solo albums are good, not as floyd good, but it still good and also he still selling out stadiums so i dont know what you're talking about
You're an ass. Roger was selling out stadiums prior to Momentary Lapse. We loaded a bus out of Phoenix to the "Pros and Cons" tour at the Los Angeles Sports Arena and it was sold out, with hundreds of people outside waiting for tickets. Gilmour plays great guitar, but he's not a driving force. Stop drinking the toilet water.
yeah.. Roger's real lucky David Gilmour decided to tour and make millions with the music catalogue 95% written (lyrics and music) by Roger... not to take anything from Davide, Nick, and Rick... they all made their contributions, especially David (who has some incredible solo material of his own).
And if you really think about it, most Floyd (past Sid) is essentially Roger solo material, with a very skilled backing band. If you dispute this, ask David why he won't work with Roger...
That is bullshit. People call the Wall Roger's first solo album - guess what - it isn't. He could have never made that album wihout Gilmour. The whole album is heavily Gilmour influenced, even songs where he did not get writing credits like Mother and Another Brick in the Wall Part Two contained solos clearly written by Dave.
All you have to do is compare A Momentary Lapse of Reason and the Division Bell to Waters solo albums to see where the real Floyd sound comes from.
ok ur obviously just one of those dumb waters haters. MLOR is a HORRIBLE album. it was voted the worst pink floyd album ever, btw tht includes ummagumma and tht early rubbish. secondly the wall would have easily happend without gilmour. it obviously would have been different, but hey it still would have happend. ur opinion is ur opinion but i dont think anyone really agrees with u. btw pros and cons and amused to death are soooo much better than MLOR or division bell!

Great souvenir but old Rog must be tired of performing the DSOTM stuff by now. Must be frustrating that his own newer material isn't so well received.
Speaking of souvenir, did anyone buy the ROG NOT REG poster from this show? I would love to get it again and frame it. I lost mine over the years and would love to get another. Already checked eBay many times. I saw this show in Atlanta but I was too wasted to remember much of it. I was 20 and doing stupid things that some 20 yr olds did at the time so I cannot remember as much of this show as I want.
I sold that one plus an original concert T-Shirt on Ebay, and a French promo poster for the Pros & Cons several years ago...I regret it now...I could probably get 10X what I sold them for...

Waters 1984: The beginning of one of the most unsuccessful solo careers in Rock.
He's lucky that Gilmour did two highly successful Floyd tours to keep the Floyd name alive.
