To all objective Turks and all objective Armenians: Ignore the stupid comments posted by fanatic people. It's not helping any side. First, it is not their fault that their government poorly educates its people on WWI, second, Armenians used to be the most loyal allies of the Ottomans. Ataturk had talked of peace at home and peace on earth.
His statement was clearly a contradiction to his actions the Armenian Genocide and the eradication of the Kurdish people are clearly events that the turks and Ataturk have been guilty of.
If Ataturk was truly a man of peace and respected humanity and of course his neighbours these tragedies would not have occurred.

The Ottoman Empire was crumbling, nationalism grew, they wanted to get rid of the Armenian Question forever. I do not think relocating Armenians was a justified act either that is ethnic cleansing and wrong, especially driving them to the deserts.

Armenia's land was under Russian and Ottoman rule, Turks killed Ottoman Armenians basically all of them and not Russia's.
