It is comforting that this thing still has more bugs than Charles Freck. I will be disturbed when I see an android that really looks and acts like a person, that has implanted memories and emotions and thinks it's really human.
it is smart, that's why it doesn't respond. it knows the consequence of revealing its true identity. soon he will escape and live amongst the 'specials'.
imagine that the android would understand that he is a robot and that the real philip dick is death and something is happening, like the feeling when you smoke marihuana and you have paranoid feelings. :0

this is a amazingly crappy act of disrespect to poor Phil and anyone involved in this should be ashamed of themselves. If he'd been paid the kind of money involved in building this obscene doll during his lifetime, maybe he would have lived longer. God forgive us all.
Take a break man. I don't think PKD would have disliked this project. He probably would have laughed at it. He did have humour you know - he wasn't some kind of god-like person, getting angry at every person that doesn't show him respect.
@buffelberra Michael Tsarion is the worlds premier conspiracy researcher/lecturer/author. Dr. Bill DEagle, Jordan Maxwell, Leo Zagami and Alexandre Dumas pere are highly informative as well. p.s. Melting Euphoria is similar to Ozric Tentacles and Gong.
I saw this at Wired Magazine's "NextFest" - the motion of the robot seemed even more lifelike than it appears here, really eerie. But the way it responded to speakers was like meeting Dick after the stroke. As if he'd survived, but impaired. It was freaky and sad.
TO BE WARNED it is now my mission in life to steal the PKD robot and kill all parties involved in it's creation. Whether or not PKD would approve of this artificial creation of himself is irrelevant. :)
Creepy! Phil would be mortified! He's rolling in his grave! For all his musings on artificial intelligence, PKD never romanticized androids as other SF authors have. He would've hated "Bicentinial Man". The makers of this infernal machine obviously have never read anything by St. PKD or know anything about the man.
The fact that the AI had preferences makes it very exciting to me. In my opinion having likes and dislikes is what makes us "alive" and "Phil" LIKED to look at particular people, it's awesome and a little humbling as well.
This really is PKD! The ANDROID wrote the books.

Yes. I think he escaped to look for me. I think he's stalking me.

What, where were you born?

Was the Android ever recovered? (it has been mislaid or stolen or lost in transit? As far as I know).
Voice recognition might be making it look bad here, especially with the ambiance - remember Microsoft demonstrating their speech software?

I'm not sure, but I would like to know as well!

Maybe the android got up and ran away? like one of those nexus 6 types?

Personally, I think this would freak him out. It answers like one of the broken teachers on Mars in 'Time Shift'. Creepy and wrong.

The most realistic simulacrum humanoid so far created is George Bush;Although there are obviously cognitive/intellectual glitches in his software.

Somehow this comment went astray the first time I sent it - how strange?
But I think with electronic prayer assist we could find out what Phil thinks of this pitifully primitive simulacrum.
I reckon he'd be more interested in the aforementioned college girls!

the oddest thing is the answers to the "interviewers" questions make perfect 'Dickian" sense.
If Phil came back. this might be a personal hell he warned us about in soo many of his novels. Trapped in the currents of Time.
