  • I love this and yeah I can say I heard it on the radio back in the day. Old School :-)

  • El maestro en acción... grandioso

  • нормально хуярят

  • Booooyeah !!!! - brings back memories - samples of Herbie Hancock, Malcolm McLanen. Used to scratch it up myself DJ'ing @ the then legenday North Sydney night club KD's at St.Leonards - but nothing like this guy. L_E_G_E_N_D :)

What I wouldn't do to travel back in time to the 80's - Back to the Future I say !!!!

  • 1 dj! no Herbie! Fake

  • @adriankeibord2 Watch the hole video first...

  • As any serious Herbiefan knows, the DJ happens to be Grandmixer DST, who layed down all the scratches on "Future Shock"... the intro is a variation of a Herbie-Megamix he did...

  • @hfuhruhurrr Grandmaster DST not "Grandmixer"...

  • @rkeloglo My mistake (as any serious Herbiefan knows) :-D

  • @kamleung9 I just don't like it that's all since I'm not a fan of scratcing. G ive me some straight jazz and I'll be in heaven.

  • OXYEHO!

    what year is it?????

  • This is what started it all for me.

  • higher ground..

    HE is SO AMAZING !!!!!

  • That's Grandmixer DXT (or D St). He worked with HH on the Future Shock album.

  • this is gonna be my first time travel stop

  • The revolution

  • Ha haa, love the cheesy outfit and headphones of the DJ... and nice to see this song played with real bass and drums.

  • Classic video!

  • I said, "HELLLLL YEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"

  • great song

  • God, I hate the 80's when they fell in love with stupid video effects and used them everywhere. They add absolutely nothing, and take away a very good picture.

  • I want to see the "Rock it" live in the Grammys where there was some breakdancers performed.

  • It's on YouTube: just search Herbie Hancock Rockit 1984, and it's at or near the top. Cool clip, too.

  • He changed his name to DXT. At the time it was Grandmaster DST.

  • Actually his original DJ name was grandMIXER DST....DST is for Delancey Street in New York, where he lived.

  • that's grandmaster DST not DXT

  • great

  • Master Piece

  • Great thing to be captured on video and made available.

  • NOT CAZ but DXT. Hancock is the guy on synth in black jacket. that had to be true FUTURE SHOCK to see it live that time. respect!

  • grandmaster caz fools!

  • Herbie - Genius!!!!

  • I pity the fool who doesnt like this song!

  • Amazing intro... Legendary.

  • Thats not Herbie Hancock, that is DJ Caz or Theodore or one of those old school DJs, I can't remember, but that is certainly not Herbie Hancock. But it is a Herbie Hancock song he is using to scrath with.

  • its grand master dxt :)

  • watch all de video... after the intro Herbie Hancock start's!

  • @panrick That's Grandmixer DXT (or D St). He worked with HH on the Future Shock album.

  • @panrick Mr HH is the dude in black jacket, with glasses on the left side of the band. When i need gasoline for running, i put ROCK IT inside my tank.... Try, it works.....

  • This sucks man, thankfully Herbie got through this.:)

  • this is a creative performance u wouldnt get anything like that these days, its all just poffy boy bands and skanks like britney spears

  • im sure boring old people put this guy down in his time too.

  • jawa jawa...I believe the sound is Jawa Jawa....

  • Right on, mate!

  • the begining sounds like a jibba jabba

  • Awe. Some.
