Obama has destroyed the moral in the service; I know I see it everyday. Hell we had one guy forced out for no reason and ended up killing himself. I blame Obama for this
I agree with Kevin it doesn't really matter if Obama does this everything he's done. During his presidency will be reversed by the next president.Because there's no way Obama will get a second term.His popularity is a tiny speck,his approval is in the 30's,almost every state shows they won't go to Obama.I just don't get why Obama is seeking another term can't he see he doesn't have a chance? It's like the only way he'll accept that he's failed is by being voted out.
Don't forget that we needn't worry about China or any nation, no nation can attack another nation as long as it possesses nuclear weapons. The only way a regular military can be used these days is for offensive wars against nations without nuclear weapons or to serve as an international or national police force. And we should be safe anyway, as long as they don't make too much of a cut for the Marines!
@kookiemoose Dr. Paul is for a strong military. The thing is we are stretched too thin and our military is in too many places and Dr. Paul's cuts would eliminate wasteful spending. Being the worlds policeman is just wrong and won't work and has weakened our military. Dr. Paul receives the most donations from active duty forces than any other candidate.
@Lordkillja Not to sound like a war monger or anything but if our military is weakened, then cutting more would somehow relate to the strong military Paul has envisioned? Don't get me wrong I was probably one of only 6 people in MD that voted Libertarian in 08. The pundits say Paul wears a tin hat when it comes to foreign affairs. They say he is only interested in protecting the USA.
@kookiemoose What many people don't understand is there is a difference between defense spending and military spending. Spending money overseas makes us weaker economically and does nothing to strengthen defense. Having troops at home increases defense and it makes no sense for us to keep closing bases here and opening them overseas. Cutting back on military spending will do nothing to weaken defense, we will still be spending 4 times as much as china.
Obama will try and do the cuts, if he is out in 2012 it doesn't matter. they will be reversed. I do agree that there is a lot of creative accounting that goes on with budget cuts but the preception to the world is that we are weakening.
Oh they will cut military spending because if it makes no sense and lacks common sense the Obama administration will implement it, but I do know how every crazy thing they have been pulling off usually has something even more whacked out out hidden behind it.
Kevin I usually agree with you but you don't really believe they will cut anything in the military spending do you. Maybe they wont raise it as much as they would like but with everything they do its all smoke and mirrors.

We currently owe 15 trillion and we are adding to this at a rate of about 1.6 trillion a year. Everything needs to be cut, we're broke.
