Man you don't have to explain to people that blue is taken care of. It's OBVIOUS that he is a family member. People get bent right off without even knowing the story. Pit bulls weight ranges from 40 to 90 pounds, but in rare cases there are some that weigh 110. That is the heaviest they can get, if it is any heavier than there is most likely another larger breed of dog mixed in the dogs bloodline. Pit Bulls are usually very muscular, but some people put heavy chains and weights on the dog to get a even more muscular build (which is not healthy at all for the dog).
Some dogs you couldn't pay enough in vet bills to repay the kindness they've shown to you. Blue is obviously one of them. You and especially your son are very luckyto have him.

I think Blue saw the bag of dog food on the top shelf. :) My neighbors Pit Bull's name is Blu because when she was a baby she had baby blue eyes, but when she hit a year old, they suddenly turned green. Still beautiful. I own 2 Pit/Mastiff's and I would trust them with my life. Blue, she sees my from a mile away and comes running. I raised her for the first 4 months of her life, and since my neighbor is a man, I'm her mommy. :) Pitties, best dogs on earth.
I am planning on moving within the next year or two and was considering Vermont or Colorado having lived in both states. I had to rule Colorado out because Denver, where I wanted to live, has banned Pitbulls within the city limits. Family pets had to be given up, animals who never had problems with agression. A dog is the only creature that relentlessly loves others more than it loves itself. All a dog needs to be happy is food, water, and love from its humans, while we need video games, movies, amusement parks, nice clothes, perfect hair, nice houses, nice cars, and money. i loved my Tyson lined boy as much as you love blue and its nice to see. unfortunantely my boy was lost to cancer last year and here in Australia they are being banned out, its a shame as my boy like yours never attacked or went after anything except birds and rats, a friend to the end.

Wow! I love you guys! Blue is amazing, as are his owners! You don't have to worry about him being full blooded pit bull- He IS Full Blooded. We have owned & bred Pits for over 15 years. It's all in the bloodline- some bloodlines are just built like that! Beautiful dog!!!!
Hes a very special dog. I used to be afraid of the pit bull until I rescued one from the animal shelter the day he was to be put down. He is so wonderful with my children. It is great that pit bulls are so special.

I had to "say goodbye" to my Lab, Maggie, last year after 15 yrs. I'm just getting to the point emotionally where I can get another. It would have felt like "cheating" to try and replace her.
I've just about convinced myself that she wouldn't want me to mourn any longer.
I have a beautiful pitbull that I would do anything for also! I got him when he was 4 months old. His owners had left him at the vet after he was hit by a car. He nearly lost his back right paw because, of it and he will always walk with a slight limp. What I think is so amazing about this breed is the fact that even after they have been knocked down they get back up over and over again. They turely are great dogs that want nothing more then to please you.
In the 70's they blamed the Dobermans, in the 80's they blamed the German Shepherds, in the 90's they blamed the Rottweilers and now they blame the Pit Bulls. When will they blame the humans? All of your videos make me cry so hard :( you're such a good owner. I have a pitbull mix and i still get awful looks on the street and judgements from people. The only thing my dog has ever done to leave a mark was wag her tail too hard. Pits are sweet hearts.

I'd say he is a pure A.P.B.T. It's not unheard of for some pit's to exceed 80 pounds. My own dog topped up in at 90 pounds but as far as i know It's very rare for a pit to be as heavy as 135 pounds but it can happen. Blues past injuries might prevent him getting enough exercise, ths contributing to his weight, but given his condition thats completely understandable. He is an epic dog and I'm glad he is in the care of a responsible and loving family.
i cried while watching this and it takes a lot to make me cry but when stuff happens to dogs especially pit bulls it hits home. i have been raised around pit bulls my entire life and never have i ever had one of them turn on me i love them to death and i know they love me too. my current pit = is super protective but so playful at me he starts getting really upset all of my pit bulls have been big babies I respect you and your family for what you have done and wish you all and blue the best
I have seen pit bulls that large. I have a red nose (they are smaller) he is about 60 lbs. He is a pit. They are the most loyal and loving dogs I have ever seen. They are fast, that is why he was able to save your son. It is too bad about the accident but he is safe and loved and loves. God bless. I hate it when people say pits are so mean. They don't know what they are talking about unless someone made them mean.
He is absolutely gorgeous and I love seeing videos showing Pit Bulls as the loving family members they can be. My family owned a wonderful pit and we ended up having to rehome her b/c my parents got a new house in a county that required pits to be leashed and muzzled at all times when outside the house. Ciera is a sweetheart who let a 3 lb Chihuahua rule the house and we couldn't imagine her not being able to run around in her own backyard.

amazing story! i have two pitbulls myself and i know how ridiculously loving and loyal they are to everyone in the family! People need to hold the owners of abusive pitbulls responsible because a dog's behavior is entirely dependent on how the dog is raised and what he is raised to do. That's great! How long was this video taken after the dogs accident? He seems to be healing up quite well especially if he had to relearn to walk and the nerve damage! Bless you and your Dad for not losing hope in him! When people mention the money, once an animal is family, money is no object!

Lucky dog and lucky people. We've had to make similar decisions about our pets, mostly cats, and we always side on "Fix them." It's just money, compared to the a life, after all. And our cats and dog never made us regret those decisions. I'm so glad Blue's doing so well.

My Blue Heeler also named Blue had $6000 + in surgical bills. Well worth it to me. She lived another 6 years and sadly died of vestibular disease. I do not regret spending the money. I could not have justified saving the money and putting her down...no way.

Wow, My little 11# Klee Kai was just hit by a car a few weeks ago. How long did it take for the control to return to the bowels and was there any other issues? I would love to hear more of the details of the recovery. We are looking for hope to get our little, "Rush," better. He broke his tail and 2 of his ribs. (We have a fenced yard and my other 30# dog and "Rush" broke 2 of the planks out of our fence.) So, Little Rush is fecal and urinary incontinent. We need hope.
@princesskimberlily Do not give up, you may actually have to help him urinate by aiding him, may sound gross but push at the base. If he is having these issues yoiu need to have his back checked for nerve damage....if there is damage and you do not know it you can severly hurt him. It took blue about 4 months to get back to goin regulary and holding it...his legs will never be perfect but they are good enough for me.
he looks like a wonderful dog =), I have three dogs two of which are pitbull cross one is a mastif x pitty and she loves people and other animals. So what if he has pitty in him they are very loving dog when you bring them up right.

This hits really close to home for me. My baby dog fought a vicious 90 pound chow (he's 75 pounds) when a mean insane man turned the dog on us... he was bitten several times but I would have been attacked if he hadn't jumped right in front of me as the dog snarled and went in to bite me. Some people just don't understand why we love our pets so much. Blue is lucky and amazing and my doggie is a pit bull mixed breed also. I love dogs, this made me happy :)

Wow! I love you guys! Blue is amazing, as are his owners! You don't have to worry about him being full blooded pit bull- He IS Full Blooded. We have owned & bred Pits for over 15 years. It's all in the bloodline- some bloodlines are just built like that! Beautiful dog!!!!

Hes a very special dog. I used to be afraid of the pit bull until I rescued one from the animal shelter the day he was to be put down. He is so wonderful with my children. It is great that pit bulls are so special.

Thanks for that story. We don't know each other (obviously), but I judge people by how they relate to dogs. I stay away from people who don't like dogs & those who are not liked by dogs.
...I can tell we'd be friends.
I had to "say goodbye" to my Lab, Maggie, last year after 15 yrs. I'm just getting to the point emotionally where I can get another. It would have felt like "cheating" to try and replace her.
I've just about convinced myself that she wouldn't want me to mourn any longer.

I have a beautiful pitbull that I would do anything for also! I got him when he was 4 months old. His owners had left him at the vet after he was hit by a car. He nearly lost his back right paw because, of it and he will always walk with a slight limp. What I think is so amazing about this breed is the fact that even after they have been knocked down they get back up over and over again. They turely are great dogs that want nothing more then to please you.

In the 70's they blamed the Dobermans, in the 80's they blamed the German Shepherds, in the 90's they blamed the Rottweilers and now they blame the Pit Bulls. When will they blame the humans? All of your videos make me cry so hard :( you're such a good owner. I have a pitbull mix and i still get awful looks on the street and judgements from people. The only thing my dog has ever done to leave a mark was wag her tail too hard. Pits are sweet hearts.

I watched this 2 weeks ago and i cried and now I know how it feels to have a surviving dog my pit bull was hit by a car almost 3hours ago and he is scratched up but he is alive my heart stopped when I saw him running back and whimpering he is my baby and I love him with all my heart and watching blues story again helped me overcome this thank you soo much for sharing your story my pit bull only has a couple of scars so I hope he recovers well like blue and prospers as well I wish you all the we

I'd say he is a pure A.P.B.T. It's not unheard of for some pit's to exceed 80 pounds. My own dog topped up in at 90 pounds but as far as i know It's very rare for a pit to be as heavy as 135 pounds but it can happen. Blues past injuries might prevent him getting enough exercise, ths contributing to his weight, but given his condition thats completely understandable. He is an epic dog and I'm glad he is in the care of a responsible and loving family.

i cried while watching this and it takes a lot to make me cry but when stuff happens to dogs especially pit bulls it hits home. i have been raised around pit bulls my entire life and never have i ever had one of them turn on me i love them to death and i know they love me too. my current pit = is super protective but so playful at me he starts getting really upset all of my pit bulls have been big babies I respect you and your family for what you have done and wish you all and blue the best

I have seen pit bulls that large. I have a red nose (they are smaller) he is about 60 lbs. He is a pit. They are the most loyal and loving dogs I have ever seen. They are fast, that is why he was able to save your son. It is too bad about the accident but he is safe and loved and loves. God bless. I hate it when people say pits are so mean. They don't know what they are talking about unless someone made them mean.

He is absolutely gorgeous and I love seeing videos showing Pit Bulls as the loving family members they can be. My family owned a wonderful pit and we ended up having to rehome her b/c my parents got a new house in a county that required pits to be leashed and muzzled at all times when outside the house. Ciera is a sweetheart who let a 3 lb Chihuahua rule the house and we couldn't imagine her not being able to run around in her own backyard.

amazing story! i have two pitbulls myself and i know how ridiculously loving and loyal they are to everyone in the family! People need to hold the owners of abusive pitbulls responsible because a dog's behavior is entirely dependent on how the dog is raised and what he is raised to do. Pitbulls are loving, playful, protective, and simply amazing! Blue is a true hero!

That's great! How long was this video taken after the dogs accident? He seems to be healing up quite well especially if he had to relearn to walk and the nerve damage! Bless you and your Dad for not losing hope in him! When people mention the money, once an animal is family, money is no object!

Lucky dog and lucky people. We've had to make similar decisions about our pets, mostly cats, and we always side on "Fix them." It's just money, compared to the a life, after all. And our cats and dog never made us regret those decisions. I'm so glad Blue's doing so well.

My Blue Heeler also named Blue had $6000 + in surgical bills. Well worth it to me. She lived another 6 years and sadly died of vestibular disease. I do not regret spending the money. I could not have justified saving the money and putting her down...no way.

Wow, My little 11# Klee Kai was just hit by a car a few weeks ago. How long did it take for the control to return to the bowels and was there any other issues? I would love to hear more of the details of the recovery. We are looking for hope to get our little, "Rush," better. He broke his tail and 2 of his ribs. (We have a fenced yard and my other 30# dog and "Rush" broke 2 of the planks out of our fence.) So, Little Rush is fecal and urinary incontinent. We need hope.

@princesskimberlily Do not give up, you may actually have to help him urinate by aiding him, may sound gross but push at the base. If he is having these issues yoiu need to have his back checked for nerve damage....if there is damage and you do not know it you can severly hurt him. It took blue about 4 months to get back to goin regulary and holding it...his legs will never be perfect but they are good enough for me.

This hits really close to home for me. My baby dog fought a vicious 90 pound chow (he's 75 pounds) when a mean insane man turned the dog on us... he was bitten several times but I would have been attacked if he hadn't jumped right in front of me as the dog snarled and went in to bite me. Some people just don't understand why we love our pets so much. Blue is lucky and amazing and my doggie is a pit bull mixed breed also. I love dogs, this made me happy :)
