@meaddictproductions OK, sorry. got home late and missunderstod the comment(English is my second language). This is a prototype engine even though it´s built from honda motorcycle engine parts. With a turbo I could probably get 200+horsepower.
@powersled It's OK, one other thing, how much HP do you it'd get into a ~2010 sled with a Turbo, my friends arguing with me you couldn't even get it to run but you have proof right on the video ..
2 problems i see. 1. clutching. the motor u have is very lo in hp compared to the sleds out there but the torque? forget about it nothing can compare so good luck clutching it right and it not eating belts :p and chains for that matter. how did u get a chaincase to work? also final problem since there are faster sleds stock out there and i see that u do have a vmax. why didnt you just squash 2 vmax 4 motors together and have the most ridiculous v8 powered sled or b just stick with the 800 ?
@anders3210 Helt rätt, filmen är skit, var aldrig ämnad för youtube. Enbart en registrering av första provstarten. Tyvärr lyckades jag aldrig redigera filmen då den är analog.
@anders3210 As so many times before. This video was never ment for youtube, just to record the first startup. The person I asked to film my first "takeoff", did´nt know how to turn off the camera and I was not able to edit it on youtube.
That's neat and impressive. Agree it would look much better in a more radical sled than that. Maybe a Manta racing chassis for example. I would think the HP would be much greater than that. Send me another video when you finish. Love that custom stuff. Oh yeah...fire the video guy!
@powersled not really i agree with jesse.... while this is an awesome build... its a touring sled after all. I would want more power than that if i put a v8 in a sled... there is a guy that builds V8 out of 2 Hybusa motors for 450hp @ 10,000rpm Non turbid and 1000hp with turbos.... that would be impressive in a sled... google h1v8 to find out what I'm talking about
@MrDieseltwitch Remember this is a video from the first startup several years ago, the sled looks different today. I´m planning to install a fuel injection system and modified cams. This would make this sled more powerful and reliable. I just finished a complete restoration of an -66 Shelby GT350 and I got several more muscle car projects waiting. This gives me very little time to work on this sled, wich was a fun build many years ago.
The engine was built 10 years ago, and I´m not a snowmobile manufacturer. I do not remember letting you testride it, so how could you possible know????
Thanks, but low horsepower? Would you say low horsepower, if a cadillac northstar V8 engine had 644 horsepower? Remeber this is 1000cc only and it´s a prototype. Why risk enginebrakedown with more horsepower?
