  • Coming soon: Shelby GT 350 -66

  • isin't 140hp low though? sleds nowadays have like 150 hp stock, but idk, i'm not mechanic haha

  • @meaddictproductions This is -03, how many do you think it got today? And I see by your comment, your not a mechanic.

  • @powersled I asked nicely, just saying. And true, it is an older sled. I was just wondering :p

  • @meaddictproductions OK, sorry. got home late and missunderstod the comment(English is my second language). This is a prototype engine even though it´s built from honda motorcycle engine parts. With a turbo I could probably get 200+horsepower.

  • @powersled It's OK, one other thing, how much HP do you it'd get into a ~2010 sled with a Turbo, my friends arguing with me you couldn't even get it to run but you have proof right on the video ..

  • Thanks, it´s not the only radiator. One more under the seat. Thanks for not complaining about the bad "movie producer".

  • Awesome looking machine, can that little rad keep up with the heat?

  • So the video sucks, how about the sled?

  • try Goggling "cinematography" and "video editing" next time

  • Thanks! You would like it better today.

  • Who gives a shit about the speed or the gasmilage it does. The coolfactor of this baby says it all :D

  • Looks like 4 motorcycle 2 cyl heads and carbs

  • Workmanships fukin awesome, very cool, too bad theres no snow in PA where I live anymore since global warming, snowmobiling has died here.

  • @longtimeninjabiker98 Thanks, sorry to hear that.

  • can it make it to a gas station??

  • Thats awesome, but i would hate to hate to redo the top end on it haha ouch, my wallet hurts thinking about it.

  • SOUNDS LIKE A MINI CHEVY SMALL BLOCK HAHA

  • THATS BADDD ASS

  • only 140hp? stick with the 800 2 stroke.... alot lighter. good try

  • @stickysugarpuff Like I said to others that do not get it, you´re missing the point.

  • I keep replaying the part about the snow on the ground, we have had much lately and it is nice to see... I have tripot I would like to sell!

  • Sound is at 3:00

  • awesome sled!! would not wanna get it stuck though D'OH!

  • That sounds ALOT like an Oldsmobile 455 how weird!!

  • low

  • 2 problems i see. 1. clutching. the motor u have is very lo in hp compared to the sleds out there but the torque? forget about it nothing can compare so good luck clutching it right and it not eating belts :p and chains for that matter. how did u get a chaincase to work? also final problem since there are faster sleds stock out there and i see that u do have a vmax. why didnt you just squash 2 vmax 4 motors together and have the most ridiculous v8 powered sled or b just stick with the 800 ?

  • looks like you used 2 honda v4 engines

  • Sweet!!

  • @theook1 Thanks! It´s even sweeter today.

  • i gues thats what happens when you let a guy with ADHD do all the filming. Cool machine though. invest in some hearing protection.

  • should not have a child useing a camera

  • @straightme1 You´re right

  • that sled sounds tougher than a viper rt10 with no muffler lol

  • @xXThajuiceXx Thanks!

  • my left ear missed the video :(

  • talk about a heavy ass sled...

  • Home built? looks like honda built those Interceptor engines to me

  • Unfortunately very bad filmed, just lousy. This great V-8 powered sled deserves a better filmer! Please hand over the camera to a competent person!

  • @anders3210 Helt rätt, filmen är skit, var aldrig ämnad för youtube. Enbart en registrering av första provstarten. Tyvärr lyckades jag aldrig redigera filmen då den är analog.

  • @powersled WHAT

  • @anders3210 As so many times before. This video was never ment for youtube, just to record the first startup. The person I asked to film my first "takeoff", did´nt know how to turn off the camera and I was not able to edit it on youtube.

  • :)

  • That's neat and impressive. Agree it would look much better in a more radical sled than that. Maybe a Manta racing chassis for example. I would think the HP would be much greater than that. Send me another video when you finish. Love that custom stuff. Oh yeah...fire the video guy!

  • @tmotorman The video guy is fired!

  • jump the highway man

  • What´s boring with an V8?? But the video could be improved.

  • Boooring

  • This is AWESOME!!!!! Are they Magna motors or Interceptor motors?

  • @nicconley Thanks, -85 interceptor

  • yeah thats cool but u relize u can get a 2 stroke with way more hp and half the weight right?

  • @Jesse74656 You´re missing the point.

  • @powersled not really i agree with jesse.... while this is an awesome build... its a touring sled after all. I would want more power than that if i put a v8 in a sled... there is a guy that builds V8 out of 2 Hybusa motors for 450hp @ 10,000rpm Non turbid and 1000hp with turbos.... that would be impressive in a sled... google h1v8 to find out what I'm talking about

  • @MrDieseltwitch Remember this is a video from the first startup several years ago, the sled looks different today. I´m planning to install a fuel injection system and modified cams. This would make this sled more powerful and reliable. I just finished a complete restoration of an -66 Shelby GT350 and I got several more muscle car projects waiting. This gives me very little time to work on this sled, wich was a fun build many years ago.

    Thanks for looking

  • @Jesse74656 hope you know that thing prob has 300-400 hp and the fastest sled arctic cat z1 turbo has less then 200.

  • wait a min thus looks like HARLEY-DAVIDSON MOTOR v town with two spark plugs aren't they

  • @amaricanbulldog Hi, I´m not sure what You´re asking. The base is 2 honda Vfours. No harley.

  • nice ride vmax body with different motor sweet

  • joseph armend serais surment jaloux!!!

  • looks like a vmax 1200 engine

  • @1991tommygun No it´s not!

  • fag

  • @yfzduner2 Who are You?

  • how fast does it go ?

  • @1polaricat Fast enough

  • The engine was built 10 years ago, and I´m not a snowmobile manufacturer. I do not remember letting you testride it, so how could you possible know????

  • this is pretty lame consierding the products snowmobile manufacturers have to offer today..

  • Thanks, but low horsepower? Would you say low horsepower, if a cadillac northstar V8 engine had 644 horsepower? Remeber this is 1000cc only and it´s a prototype. Why risk enginebrakedown with more horsepower?

  • Well shit, it aint makin huge horsepower but i can respect the ingenuity

  • HA a v8 in a v-max sled nice :D

  • how much would i have to pay you to build me one of these?

  • @wcchalo I have no ideá, I stopped counting hours I put in at 500. Probably more than You want to spend. Thanks for looking.

  • 2 x VF500 engines?

  • @nomjasdk Yes 2 VF500F -85. But very modified.

  • Bahahahahaha only 140 hp? wtf is the point of that??

  • @REALtimeFRED Insults, is probably something You´re very good at. I wonder if You are just as good in building an engine?

  • @REALtimeFRED thats what i was going to say lol my sled will walk all over that thing! and its putting out 130h lol

  • Looks like you stuck 2 Honda Interceptor/Manga 500cc V4's together

  • an 8 cylinder with only 140hp? hahahaha whata waste of time and money.

  • i thought yamaha where from japan, not usa?

  • Thanks(i think)

  • swag

  • But, why????

  • @asciiguy283 Why not?

  • @powersled Because it probly weighs close to 1200 pounds? my apex is 600 pounds with 315 hp?

  • now i wanna see you pull it over if the battery dies :)

  • i got 150+ hp in my rmk 900 without any mod??

  • @samcat509 Did you build the engine yourself? By the way, this clip is from 2003.

  • the sled looks smooth.

  • my right ear got lonely

  • Nice job man.

  • Comment removed

  • @blacklabmustang1 I bet is better than yours!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how much horsepower??

  • BUILD BECAUSE YOU CAN!!!!!

  • @stmpdogg Thank You!

  • @powersled Have you ever weighed that beast

  • @dr3021 approx: 20 kilos more than the standard sled

  • Ya .... Your Right ..... I Luv Pipes Too !! The Sound Of That Sled Is Quite Unique .... I'm An Old School Rotax Engine Specialist .... The Mechanical Skills Needed To Make This Run Is Very Impressive - Lol Kenny

  • It Looks Like Andre The Giant Sled & It Weighs It Too ...... A Little Rotary Valve Ski-Doo Race Motor Would Smoke That Thing ?

  • @coolriff747 You´re missing the point.

  • @powersled thats fucking awsome

  • @camarosledman Thanks

  • This is the first startup in 2003, the sled looks different today. The engine has only 1000cc, it´s pretty much a prototype. It´s possible to get 300 hp out of it, but why should I? It would be a "horrible" engine to control, burn a lot of fuel and last for 10 hours or less. Today, my girlfriend can take it for a spin she likes and it´s moderate on burning fuel. Thanks for looking.

  • its a sick ride..but why only 140hp when I think V8 I figure it would start at 300hp or more. was it by choice or you just had the engine type of thing?

  • Sick ride fuck all these retards there just mad there broke and cant buy a used sled let alone build there own monster like this!!

  • @GunsClap315 Thanks!

  • Mod sleds rule - good work! Most of the haters on here couldn't even hold a wrench.

  • @lshobie Thanks. I like to thank everyone that appreceate this type hard work. I know the video is not the best, but why all the insults? If you people can do this better, please show me your work. Thank You, Powersled

  • this things boss !

  • just dont git er stuck.. cant lift that thing round

  • Lame video, lame sled -Period

  • Comment removed

  • @mikend4spd i dont care when it happened...its still retarded ..and he didnt get "offencive" and its not about him..its about YOU.. derp derp derp

  • @mikend4spd you didn't like it because you're not an innovator.

  • like a vmax isnt heavy enough lol

  • WOW!! This is bad ass!! Got it all under the hood to. Great job, sounds real nice to.

  • Way to go. Do something different!

  • its very impressive build each cylinder being 125cc couldn't create very much torque right regardless of its functionality its still very impressive could have just got a sled with 2 cylinders and made a bunch more hp but you took a very unique path and work of art in a way

  • One word "turbo".

  • 5 gallons per mile

  • nice sled!! i dont get it tho its only got 140hp, the sled stock has more then that.

  • Why are you riding on slicks? :P

  • Hahahahahhahahahahah, omg . Wat r u going to do when there's more than 4" of snow! Lol. Nice job stuffing that engine in there though. :)

  • just wait till you get stuck...

  • I wasted 5:45 min waiting for this thing to giver, but good build!

  • Nice bit of engineering! ...Although I'm amused by the reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeemote-mount alternator. ;)

  • that is the worlds uglyest snowmobile in the world!

  • jävlar :O!

  • well. im elan can beat that

  • nice sled man what ignition did you use on it to get the timing right?

  • How much hp she put out?

  • @mikend4spd lol, where was the offensive part?

  • damm that alot of work to get it to run proplerly.. great job.... ya you could have bought a factory built 4 stroke sled.. but how many people can say look at that motor i buitl and designed that..

  • @powersled well i understand why you did it and i have to say very well done man. Looks sounds and runs great!

  • Nice and clean install.Good job !

  • 8 cylinders and only 1000cc? an engine of that displacement should only have 2 or 3 cylinders.

  • härlig snöskoter, bra jobbat. hur har den gått nu efter alla dessa år?

  • 3:00

  • Very nice job. I love it when people think outside the box

  • thats a 4 cyl!! not a v8 !!! wtf lol

  • Definately a hold it to thhe bvar in a straight line sled lol

  • lasted till 2:28 and skiped video! it finally gets going and the dumb ass dont know how o hold teh camera

  • lasted till 2:28 and skiped video!

  • COOL EVEN GOT THE HONDA TAIL IT LOOKS LIKE YOU SHOULD BE SELLING CUSTOM CREATIONS FOR A LIVING YOU HAVE TALENT DONT WAIST IT, USE IT TO MAKE MONEY AND YOU WILL BE HAPPY IN LIFE,

  • Bra jobbat mannen! Keep it going!:). Skull du kunna lägg upp en ny video på den?

  • @mikend4spd hes not getting offensive, hes just saying anyone could do that he just wanted to do something unique. and damnit i think he succeeded

  • seems like a waste of time my 800cc 2 stroke makes 140 hp stock

  • @mikend4spd ??

  • Sweet...a couple of Honda VFOUR's. They were great motors in their day. Had a V65 magna and a V45 'ceptor. Great job, must have been alot of work to accomplish this.

  • @chummer2007 Thank you. These engines came from the 500 interceptor model. I have had hundreds of Honda V4:s(buying and selling). From the early V45:s to the last of the V45:s(supermagna). I still have a few left, wich one is an -84 V65 magna(49state mod.) in factory new condition with most of the factory options. And yes, it was a lot of work! More than anyone can imagien.

  • @powersled I have a 91 phazer 2 485 and a 84 v65 sabre... hmmmmm scary thought

  • man people are friggin stupid, why the bad comments? I think is a good piece of work, and sounds mean as hell. so what if is not a powder sled i dont think you made it for that did you? just cool thats all.

  • @roadkill85k5 Thank You for the kind words. No I built it because it was a challange and to see if I was capable. The sled has a grand touring "345" boggie today, quite a difference in handeling and comfort. I rarely ride in powder, most riders over here don´t. I´m not sure why people send these nasty insulting comments? If they don´t like it, why watch the video!? This is the first startup film several years ago, it was never attended for the public to see. Thank You, Sven Sandberg Sweden

  • very nice!! i bet that things an awsome cruiser!! good job!

  • @polarischick99 Thank You!

  • swedish fuckers.

  • looks like a 4 cyl.?? i see 8 plug wires tho?? im confused

  • @TaNgLeD2121 It is 2 four cylinder motorcycle engines mated together for a total of 8 cylinders. They actually work pretty well too...there is a company that turns hayabusa engines into V8's. They use them alot in kit cars and things like that. (look up hayabusa V8)

  • @rpahjr right on thx man! cheers

  • fuck all these haters. i bet they would even try to attemp something like this!! nice work!!

  • @HkSBoG Thank You for the kind comment. This video was never ment for YouTube and it should have been edited(not my thing). I put it here for people that are interested i machines and motors. I´m 100% sure that the nasty comments I get is from people that have no interrest what so ever, or are just yellous because they could never acheve anything like this it they tried. So thank You again HkSBoG!

  • @powersled no problem!!! i appreciate a great work of art when i see one. no matter how old it is.

  • This video sucks.

  • douchebag, thats a yamaha vmax V-4

  • @bigben400 Can you count to eight?

  • hahahaha! i bet it would quite well in deep snow - AS A SUBMARINE-MOBILE!!! =p

  • @haugstule En litten gutt fra Norge, duger nog inte till att bygga en sådan motor.

  • @powersled JEG KAN MOTBEVISE DEG VISS DU SKAL VERE SÅ HØY PÅ PÆRA =)

and; i woul like to see you post a video of you driving it some real deep snow....

og enhver dust kan vell koble sammen ett par honda vf 500 motorer....

but you can shut me up by proving me wrong!!!!

  • omg, who ever was at the end spent more time looking at the ground than the sled.

aaanyway. that sled is insane. mega props on fitting a v8 into that tight space. thats amazing. never been a fan of the vmax, but this looks sweet.

  • Could you please post a new video of how your sled looks now , and could you include some high speed drive byes on the video . Great job on the build looks and sound great , are those 2 engines out of magna 500s ?

Beste hilsen Svein

  • this is thee most boring snowmobile presentation I have seen !!
