All this game is IS graphics. Other than that the game is terrible, slow and has the worse, not even funny PvP. World PvP but the PvP in this game is mindless and REALLY terrible. It's not even funny. Unless you are joining this game with friends and making your own random mindless gank party do not play this shit. This game has no direction AT ALL. I made a mistake in coming back to try it, buying the expansion but it's the same shit. Probably even worse.

An Nvidia, if your motherboard is compatible with it, but an Nvidia 8500GT graphics card works very well also, Nvidia is actually alot better for games anyway. But the 8500GT isn't expensive and I run this game on full graphics settings, I run Aion in full graphic settings and Elders Scroll 4 Oblivion.

well its been only a week, but i have tried necromancer, demonologist, ranger, barbarian, herald of xotli, and bear shaman which are now all lvl 20 and to me all of them were both very enjoyable and easy to solo with, but out of all of them i found leveling with demonologist and necromancer to be the best...of course thats cause i really like having 8 pets(necromancer), having a sexy succubus following me(demonologist) and being a caster so it might not be for u if u like melee.

well....im playing the game now on tyranny....lol yep i actually bought me a $1500 gaming laptop and now im a lvl 20 demonologist. This game fucking owns, dont no why everyone says its bad cause the battle system(for melee) is unique in that u can actively block and u have to strike enemies in certain areas to do more damage. even the little things impress me like being able to climb or increase amount of hp, mp or stamina ur character can heal when resting. ps sprinting kicks ass!

I run the game on MAX settings and on Direct10 and it runs extremely well :] The video card i got is Nvidia GTX 9800. The laptop is a gateway FX btw, and i got it for only $900(refurbished version tho, the new one is like $1500)
I gave up WOW is so boring. Nothing to do, just endless griniding. Cataclysm is gonna change nothing. AOC is a good game, but you need a monster pc to run it. WOW can run on my calculator. I'm a star wars fan so im waiting for that. I'll stick to AOC meanwhile...... cant wait for high end content expansion, no lame leveling for no reason with wasted zones like WOW.

Guild wars is a good game i enjoyed it it's just it didn't meet up to standards like mounts, flying mounts (such as wow) and world pvping which was restricted when you left the city but it was a good game
Aoc is based on a series by a genuis edward e. howard, Aoc is a realistic but fantasy based game. Actually it's not you should try the game before you make up bullshit ever since their new update they fixed all the horrible bugs and glitches and balanced the classes alot and added lots of new features, All high lvl chars are back playing and i seen alot of newbies on the server and besides you wont see alot of players on newbie spot cause there is a feature to create a lvl 50 char when you hi lvl 50 and most ppl are doing that.
How the hell do you get 120 frames? My game runs super smooth at 25 frames, so is there much of a difference? I can only use default quality though, with no DX10.
its pretty much all the graphics card man like my 2.7 dual core is below the recommended specs for the game but like i said i get 120 frames and heaps more indoors (was at 230 the other day LOL).

guild wars is the only mainstream mmo thats free wich is why it sucks mmo's need funding for patches server stability and so on if you can't pay it fine but just know most mmo's on the market besides the shitty free to play mmos have a monthly fee and simply i dont trust a mmo that is free.

Guild wars is a good game i enjoyed it it's just it didn't meet up to standards like mounts, flying mounts (such as wow) and world pvping which was restricted when you left the city but it was a good game

Aoc is based on a series by a genuis edward e. howard, Aoc is a realistic but fantasy based game. Wow is like a ferngully remake,Wow is A fail in Graphics but a plus if you like rainbows, you can run wow with any pc but on aoc try that,ur pc melts =) (let me know how the smell is lmao) Aoc is a damn fine game for only been out barely a year give it the same +5 Wow has and then we will talk about which is better

The creator of Conan was Robert E. Howard...not sure where you got the edward from, his middle name was Ervin...but I agree with you that the game needs more time to develop like WoW has had before a good comparison can be made between the two

there is a difference between nerdy and dorky, wow is dorky, nerdy is something like math, nerds would stay away from wow unlike dorks, they love wow. aoc is more of a mature game and a great game for fans of the conan stories such as my self but everyone has there own opinion

This is a great game but just can compete against WoW!
I hate WoW, it gets boring after a while cuz its jus the same thing over again an over again. I Pre ordered this and Warhammer Online, I was in both beta's, buh the community jus fell apart on both games. I decided to try warhammer again a week ago and i only saw a couple people in the main cities (like 5 or 6). WoW has crushed competition!

i like this game but it could use ALOT of work, they made it too realistic, as kurk laserous in tropic thunder would say, they went full retard, they should make the gear look cooler like in this vid so the audience is like whoa, thats awesome, not, wow, i like like a queer, im wearing a manthong made out of crocidile skin

Actually it's not you should try the game before you make up bullshit ever since their new update they fixed all the horrible bugs and glitches and balanced the classes alot and added lots of new features, All high lvl chars are back playing and i seen alot of newbies on the server and besides you wont see alot of players on newbie spot cause there is a feature to create a lvl 50 char when you hi lvl 50 and most ppl are doing that.

How the hell do you get 120 frames? My game runs super smooth at 25 frames, so is there much of a difference? I can only use default quality though, with no DX10.

its pretty much all the graphics card man like my 2.7 dual core is below the recommended specs for the game but like i said i get 120 frames and heaps more indoors (was at 230 the other day LOL).

You're not getting 120 fps with 2gb ram, even with a good gfx card.
Unless you're looking directly into the ground with your UI hidden.

yeah i can man my computers new and RAM's not really the main issue with age of conan.
2gb is fine just make sure aoc is the only thing running when you play.

with ur specs and max settings, AA and dx10 etc etc you wont get that many fps... i have better specs then you and i dont even get taht much

yeah sorry i didnt realise i had it on max settings except for the shadows turned off.
but even with them on i still get 70-80 frames outdoors which aint too shabby

My AOC is running on a laptop, its going very smoothley, the only thing is that you cant have the best ghrapics. Im running the game on:
Intel core 2duo prossesor 1,83 ghz
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS
2 GB Ram
250 GB HDD
the game is on 40 fps! =)
