  • Why on earth did he not shift rudder to hard a starboard when he realised that the stern was drifting towards to buoy?? If he has twin screws also putting port engine to full ahead and starboard to slow ahead (doubtful if reversing on engine and/or using bow trusters has any significant effect over 5 knots), this could have saved the situation or?

  • eh.. as you can see its made for shit like that. no harm no foul.

  • These type of ships carry new Cars bound for ports around the world. I would suspect that this was a mistake by the pilot.

  • Automobile Carrier

  • The skipper lost his glasses

  • Poor Rabbit!

  • hihì_I_fËEl_sÔ_lÒñÈlý_tõdaY

  • its like my penis . .standing strong . .

  • what is the structure off in the background on the horizon at about :50

  • anybody hear dat..

  • It was to windy. period.

  • That prop barely survived

  • lol. Just lol.

  • Reckon the Pilot and the tug Master might have taken a pay cut or rank reduction for that one

  • and the buoy still stands!!

  • @XboxPhantom turn right, tard

  • Ahahahah, its so stupid!

  • fuck ads

  • fuck ads

  • Well, it's simple, the tugboat is first on the wrong side, on the portside, he should be on starboard. The tugboat captain or the pilot made a mistake

  • i love how the tug stayed his distance from the ship after it ran it the buoy.

  • SOMEONE GET THAT BOUY A BANDAID ASAP!!

  • At least that is a floating buoy, there's ones in the local harbor that are basically telephone poles driven into the sand, and if you hit that, well, it gets ugly.

  • A lot of wind and tide on the port broadside, and a ship with a lot of windage.

What a lot of bullshit written on YouTube.

  • you cant blame the Captain as the sea is so so over crowded haha

  • The tug was like "hold on imma help yo-OMFG BACK UP...looooool" then the other boats captain was like *RAGEQUIT*

  • first mate: "Captain!, theres a buoy overboard!" captain: "Its OK, im ontop of it!" (literally)

  • @0oemo0oguyo0o0 LOL! "Im on top of it"! Hehe. Nice one ;]

  • Kindly ask the pilot to step into my cabin.

  • @jimW133 pilot

  • You know that tugboat skipper was going, "Ohhhh sh**!" when he rounded that fat ro-ro and saw the bouy. He did a good job of backing down and not getting squashed by the ro-ro.

  • It was trying to power-slide past the buoy :P

  • What!

My X-wife caught driving again on Youtube.

    this is typical of her.

  • It's always amazing seeing fatass ships lumbering away.

  • Nice aiming genius. lol

  • Pacific Winner? More like Pacific Failer.

  • Looks like wind and tide had a lot to do with it also perhaps.

  • OOOPPPSSSS

  • It is carrying new cars over the sea. Made specially for that.

  • nice vid. What kind of ship is that? What's its cargo?

  • @airborne373 Never mind its a Ro-Ro Car Carrier.

  • great driving by the tugs captain, the other driver not so much im not a boat guy, not sure if its called driving or what, sorry to offend, he should seriously put the bottle down though. :)

  • @mr1derful112 sailing

  • You can see the current is ripping from port to starboard and the pilot didn't account for it enough

  • There was a hobo in that buoy you asshole.

  • LMAO- FAIL! Love how the tug was like "dude, im outta here..." then after the bouy pops up he sneaks around the corner like "hey guys! just got in from the dock, whats up??"

  • FOIGHTIN ROUND DA WOLRD!!!

  • it's what you called command responsibility... the captain is always responsible. pilots are just advisers.

  • So why are you obliged to have a pilot when you enter some harbours/passages??? Pilots fault... if there is one on board

  • those are local regulations. besides there are ports like japan that are very hard to communicate with the locals coz they don't speak english.. and also fishing boats are a nuisance.. i've been there many times as a mariner. trust me in japan you need a pilot. for big ships like ours anyway.

  • if the harbour pilot is already onboard,... not captain's fault... coz captain is only assist harbour pilot when channeling...

  • @bhorgz08, you are obvious no sailor, captain is always responsible, pilot is only advising.

  • Comment removed

  • @bhorgz08: Then I should go back to school once a again, the ships master is always resposible, even with a pilot onboard, who's task is only an advising one.

  • Comment removed

  • @bhorgz08 Looks like your education is way below zero, when you have to use those words to prove your opinion

  • That is correct. The captain is not in charge when under the direction of the pilot.

  • thats true because the captain is only responsible for the ship when it is on the open sea the captain isn't trained for harbour streering

  • That's what happened when you have the sun in the face!

  • hull damage?

  • Most people don`t realize the amount of wind this ship will trap...if its on the beam look out

  • or 4-5 degr starboard form 1:30

  • the rudder hard starboard for 30 seconds and no problem would have happened.

  • shoulda dropped the anchor

  • this is realy hard he tryed to turn the ship around. u can t do ist so easy

  • the captain was more than likely a rice farmer in cambodia a year ago ,replaced experianced crews too save money.

  • he should have just thrown it in reverse and floored it,

    he had about 20 feet

  • Stupid tug driver pushed the stern to hard to starboard and the ship couldn't loose the sideways momentum in time, before it hit the buoy.

  • coulda shoulda used the bow thrusters

  • I love jerking off to ships

  • nubs

  • do you mean noobs? because a nub is whats left after you get an arm of leg amputated

  • Comment removed

  • @bevosempre sooo, you're an idiot

  • Big ship....Wonder how much the fine was.

  • those are some huge fucking ships out there dude

  • The ro-ro vessel also stren propulstion so the pilot should have used it before hand and have reduced speed for approching the turn

  • The Tug is not at fault. The tug is under instructions from the pilot on the ro-ro vessel. The pilot should have known about the channel marker.

  • Before sailing the vessel out of Port

  • ro-ro, as in roll on - roll over

  • oooppppssss

  • LOL all this is was jack knifting in slow motion.

  • fucking barbarian whalers.

  • uhh... It's a car ferry genius

  • actually its a ro-ro car carrier ship, not a ferry........genius

  • Comment removed

  • I didn't think the difference was that critical, Anyway it's not a whaling ship. ok? <8s

  • lol yeah once i watched it again you're right at first glance the ramp in the back looked like a whale ramp.

  • Wow, those are some strong currents!

  • amazing movie, I will tell that story to my kids

  • what an idiot pilot.. Pilot who gives order which way and speed..I'm pretty sure his up there scratching his balls..lawl

  • and the buoy survived.......of course...

  • scuola guida....i suppose..

  • channel marker actually

  • Yeah, not a "buoy"...

  • people helping to go in and out port are called "prácticos" in spanish

  • More like Pacific Loser.

  • pwned

  • That was gay where is the explosion?

  • What do pilots get paid for again?

  • flying?

  • The people who help Ships in and out of port are called Pilots.

  • Ah ok :) In german they are called Lotse.

  • Sure as hell not for controlling ships, that's what CAPTAINS do.

  • LOL, Overtaking out at the sea?

  • Now they have to speed away and hope the grouper troopers did not see this.

  • 2:00 is the ship collision

  • meh

  • It appears the tugboat caused this incident by shoving on the rear (stern) of the ship during the turn. Without that, the ship's turn would have been more gradual without the rear (stern) swinging wide enough to actually hit the channel marker (buoy). Regardless, channel markers are hit by vessels all the time and are designed to withstand that, so no real harm done.

  • Ahora el barco se encuentra en puerto de Valparaíso siempre el motor de este barco a estado malo no le entra la marcha atrás jejeje según el practico que lo tatraco al mulle

  • where is this?

  • In Jungle!

  • capitan didnt realise she got a fat ass

  • I hope the buoy is ok

  • That guy was an idiot, the hell was that chigga doin' so fast? Damn these yellow boys...

  • a little touch paint and its finish ^^

  • jajajajaja chilean people jajajajaja the is from chile jajajajajajajajaajaj

  • How do you blind an Asian? Put a WINDSHEILD in front of him...lol

  • oh no! not a buoy!!! what a waste fo time...if he hits another boat next time, then look me up...

  • ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • no the idiot had stern propulsion and the winds hitting the side of the boat which acted like a sail pushing him into it,

  • and he didnt neeed the extra push that was error

  • i agree with slodderwobbel

  • He was driving too fast!

  • oops. hope it doesn't damage the light. (=-3

  • These ships are very difficult to pilot.

  • The ship pictured is a RO/RO, correct?

I used to see them passing through the channel all the time as a child when growing up in Brunswick, GA, where Volkswagon, Hyundai, and Saab are imported.

  • correct, that is a RO/RO :P

  • Yes... ther is also strong wind i think.....

  • so what.. nothing happens..

  • female driver?

  • no but the captain died!!!

  • First off the tug tender is at fault ,as its the one doing the driving, and yes sniper, buoy's are indeed designed to stand back up.

  • he touched the mark... 360

  • OOOps woopsie lol

  • Wow! No harm done but now the buoy is a girl.

  • Looks like a slalom run lol... He was just trying to stay tucked and close to the gate

  • How come the buoy popped back up, are they designed to do that?

  • yes, they float.

  • Comment removed

  • Gosh, that was VERY funny, did the buoy got damaged? I guess no...

  • The ships captain has been up all night whoring and drinking with resulting lapse in skill.

  • i ran over a yellow cone today

  • haha, your boat ok?

  • no me gustaria estar en el pellejo del que manejaba el buque

  • If elephants use sheep as tampons I guess huge as cargo ships use buoys as supositories!

    HAHA!

Can you say 5th of vodka way to early in the morning!

  • hey, thats all nothing, nothing was damaged except a few miilimeters of color...

and hey, havent you never seen how much trucks ram a traffic sign?

  • Seems like El´Capitana was drunk sailing his little cabin-cruiser..

  • Yeah i came

  • the idiot turned left which swung the aft toward the buoy.

  • The ship had an itch

  • ooops

  • now u see it. now u dont, oh wait... nope..

    there it is agen

  • That buoy got owned.

  • The wind pushed the ship out of the channel.

  • lol poor buoy, but buoy still alive, haha

  • that is 1 ugly ship!!!

  • sir it just jumped out in front of me

  • no harm done

  • That's a good way to damage the prop. Good thing the bouy popped back up.

  • good job catching it on the camera :) nice work

  • The idiot is the aptain of the tug boat, he should have steered the large ship clear of the buoy, and he almost ran it over himself if he hadn't reversed

  • The tug captain is not allowed to do anything without instructions from the captain/pilot of the vessel it is escorting.

  • no harm done

  • well, thats one way to knock the seagull shit off of the channel marker, LOL

  • It transports Nissan cars from North Sheilds, England over to Japan.

  • fail

  • woops, I'm sure this happens all the time

  • lol 100% the wind and bad tug!!!! or pilot watever lol
