Funny I like Iron Maiden but when it comes to anger you can't count on Maiden...only Metallica. Iron Maiden will forever be respected by anyone in the industry! And they deserve every accolade they get! I saw them live over and over and as a live band they are truly phenomenal! Metallica and Hetfield did well to clean up the sound with a heavy technical approach but it just goes to show that Maiden are the only band that can produce such a sound, just like 'Tallica have a sound! Good cover, great band, but evidence Maiden are legends in their own class! UP THE IRONS!
I don't mean to hate, but this lacks the natural feel of the original. For one, it sounds like they auto-tuned James' voice and the production just sounds so stale. The original is like a memory of a hot summer or something, real fluid and all feeling.
Metallica nailed that cover, love it. Better than the original by far. I don't usually like when bands do cover tracks mostly cause they destroy it. Metallica however does not fail when doing covers, if anything they make it sound far better and blow you away with it. And to all those Maiden fans hatin on Metallica, I would just like to remind you that Metallica is in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. All their albums rock save for one, St. Anger was crap and the Black album was not great but did have several decent tracks. If the Hall is not so prestigous then why is it so hard to get into. Speed metal changed metal forever.I am glad that the best speedmetal band ever knows who the classic metal gods are.I think this is great.Hetfield is a very good singer and he knows his limitation and does not try to match the high end vocals.This does kick ass.I think King Diamond would have done a good job on this song.

Speed metal changed metal forever.I am glad that the best speedmetal band ever knows who the classic metal gods are.I think this is great.Hetfield is a very good singer and he knows his limitation and does not try to match the high end vocals.This does kick ass.I think King Diamond would have done a good job on this song.

It STILL amazes me that those who claim to love metal hate on some of the greatest bands ever. NOONE can love metal without loving Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Pantera, BLS (just to name a few & in no particular order cuz there's many more). Every great band have songs that you don't really care for that much, those songs that you skip over on the CD, yet they're still your favorite band.
