Thank you so much for putting this up. Satyricon is one of my all time favourite films, and Fellini IS the greatest film maker ever to have graced the planet.
Thanks for posting. As a Fellini fan and a someone who has always loved Satyricon, this was really interesting to watch. But all I could think was "The drugs sure flowed freely on that set!" Such a spaced-out bunch of kids!
thanks for posting this document ! The Fellini Satyricon is a masterpiece and this scene are precious. The atmosphere looks like so poetic on the set !
@jozsefkacsa Casanova is a masterpiece too. But if you mention Caligula (the american moovie) i desagree totally! The american production tried to imitated Fellini but it was a desater! Even, the american producer said that he should have call Fellini itself do make this moovie.
An interesting clip. I loved Satyricon. I was fasinated by a landscape so utterly different from my boring life. I still see imagery in my minds eye from the film to this day. What annoyed me was that some of it was cut. Does anyone know if there is a complete and original version of Satyricon available on DVD?
I mean that cencors in countrys all over the world took bits out of the film before it reached the viewing public because they deemed them unsuitable for public comsumption, That is what I was told years ago by a projectionist at a theatre where I saw it. I last saw it about 10 years ago. I was told then that parts of the film also have been lost. So the film is incomplete through censorship and bits being lost. That's why I asked if there was complete and uncut [censored] version one could buy
The movie was indeed censored in several countries when it was originally released in 1969. I don't think anything was lost though... Current DVDs should provide you with a complete uncensored version. Look it up on amazon.
i think hiram keller is the most beautiful man i've seen in my life. i was so sad to find on imbd he died in 1997, 9 years before i even heard of him, at the age of 53! his nickname was 'the face' for god's sake! i wish there were more pictures of this timeless beauty!
I've watched this classic Fellini movie two time...this behind-the-scene I've never seen before - the relaxing, the fun in the sun where Max Born sings Bob Dylan songs did beautiful highlights on the Summer of Love/hippie style during/before/after shooting. Thanx 4 uploading^_^
The Italian Wikipedia (art. Max Born) only says, after the great success of "Satyricon", he decided to retire from the movies and to end his career as an actor ("Max decise di ritirarsi e di non far più l'attore").
Each work of GREAT FELLINI Is The MASTERPIECE ! But AMARCORD IS ABOVE of ALL ...Hail to MASTER ! Thanks for posting.

Nice to see Fellini in hippie times! E.g., 4:20: "Hai fatto l'amore questa notte? Have you made love tonight? No?! So you've lost the night". :-)
By the way, how handsome Hiram Keller was! I love his shots in 9:54-9:56!!!

Max Born, Hiram Keller & Martin Potter: what did they do after Satyricon? Three great actors, and very habdsome men.
