Drury started sucking before injuries. 70+ games played with only 32 points is awful. He was way better with the Sabres.
Lydman is a -10 this year. Never did that bad with the Sabres.
Montador was bad on D with the Ducks and Florida, and his best point totals came with the Sabres.
Briere has 1.02 points per game with the Sabres, .83 w/ Flyers

@SerjTankian98 gaustad picks and chooses who he fights he had to be called out by his team, the media and the fans to fight lucic...a week after miller was hit. what a tough guy! but ruff beats that shit into their heads oh we'll take the powerplay we'll beat em on the score sheet dont get too high on the highs dont get too low on the lows. ok i was wrong on leino but he still is playing like shit and i dont blame him bc we've seen him perform at this level.

I wouldn't fight Lucic, either. But he did. The first time he got held back by 2 Boston players.
Connolly IS the #1 center. Most of his points came from being a #1 center. BUT coming off an injury, they didn't put him in that role for that game.
It's the players' fault, not his. No coach in the NHL would be able to make a stubborn player play.

@SerjTankian98 lindy makes the defense jump up and play offence and the forwards drop back and play D. why not have the players play the positions they are supposed to? while lindy wanted briere to kill penalties bob clarke said we signed him to score goals not play defence. lindy loves to punish players that are better than he ever was. he has fooled buffalo for years and we love him for not producing winners when given good players

@njduquette No, we have mostly offensive defensemen (Myers, Gragnani, Ehrhoff, Leopold Sekera) so naturally they're NOT good at defense. That's Regier's fault. Briere scored 90 points in a year. Yeah, Lindy really limited his offensive play, right?

@njduquette Briere sucked before he came to Buffalo. With Phoenix he did nothing.
Drury sucked as soon as he left Buffalo, retiring shortly after.
Lydman was great with LR. Now he's basically nothing. Same with Tallinder.
Spacek leaves the Sabres and his career goes downhill.
Ales Kotalik's role on the Sabres was personified by Lindy. On Calgary he was sent down to the AHL.

@njduquette Afinogenov had 1 good year, then left the NHL. He now has 9 points in 15 games in an easier team and league. His best years were with Lindy.
Leino was starting to up in points, and tried his heart out. He also had 19 goals in Philly... Not 30...
Boyes sucked for 2 years after his 33 goal year. Lindy picked his play up a bit from St. Louis.
Notice how when players leave the Sabres, they have a good 1st year, then POOF. There goes their career. Except for Briere.

@S3ymourButtz 10th best pp sucks, the stanley cup winning teams usually have a top pp like Hawks who's pp was 22 % in playoffs last year, our pp was shit and didn't score one single goal, get your facts straight. Lindy Ruff is an average coach, I hope he leaves, I am sick of his stupid line combos and giving players like Guastad 19 minutes per game in the playoffs. 10th best is garbage, We've been playing against back up goalies every game, we just gave up 7 goals to the Islanders 5th goalie.

@semiautoriflelover 1. 10th PP in the league is perfectly ok when you have little to no offensive output besides Vanek and Stafford 2. Who cares what the Hawk's PP was in the cup finals? The Western Conference has no good teams with a superb penalty kill, and when they faced the Flyers their PP Tanked. 3. Ruff has to make awkward line combos due to the number of injuries the Sabres always put up with. 3. Sabres only lost to Isles due to a rare, poor performance for Ryan Miller. I know my facts.

@S3ymourButtz Lindy Ruff lied and said this was a team that could win a cup, he was full of crap, this team lost good defensemen and added nothing to the scoring and he said we were going for a cup. Plenty of better coaches in the league, no way he is best coach, he's good but come on 13 years is enough, I vote for change. Lindy is a horrible pp coach, since he took over the team never gets those big pp goals, the playoffs he was using guys like Goose and Hecht on pp with Lydman at point LOL

@S3ymourButtz Did you miss the playoffs? Lindy was giving Grier and Goose 19-22 minutes per game and pp time, he benched rookie of the year Myers in favor of Lydman on pp, LOL, some coach he is. Why would you put Ennis, Kennedy and Myers on bench when you need a goal and put out Grier, Hecht and Lydman? I hope he drops dead.
