I don't think they were being lazy... I think they just used what they already had which fits... it's their songs and they can add in and take away and switch around what ever they want. Great song! But where can I find lyrics?!
Interesting point about the "To Darkness with Bookends Syndrome," many musicians will take old songs or pieces thereof and add them to otherwise completely different songs, like when Crosby Stills & Nash added the lyrics of "Find the Cost of Freedom" to the end of "Daylight Again." I personally like broken crown. It gives a hint of To Darkness, which didn't make the sigh no more album, like a 2 for 1!
i'm confused...lyrically, some of the lyrics and melody are 'to darkness'. i love both songs, but i was weirded out at the show because of it. what gives?

In To Darkness doesn't he say "there is a way out for him". In this one he says "there was no way out for him".
