  • I understand protesting against fur outside shops that are producing fur garments, I'd be participating in those protests too. But outside a shop whose fur garments are in no way supporting current manufacturers' garments... (?)

  • I'm not trying to be rude, but surely there'd be no point in protesting against fur at Beyond Retro because everything they sell is old. People buying clothing that isn't in production anymore can't boost future business of those items...

  • Good work guys, the world would be a much better place if more of us stood up and did something to protest against all the sick abusive actions that are so blatantly evil and wrong!!!

  • Must be pretty desperate for your cause to get attention. It's recycled fur.

You realise by wearing your faux leather vegan shoes, you are promoting the look of dead cow skin?

You should also protest outside all the charity stores that sell real fur.

  • @Kelly2357 Seriously...Your're using that as an argument? 1. Its not real leather. 2. It shows that there is alternatives. 3. Not everyone wears canvas trainers etc. 4. You can't go to a job interview stating the reason you don't wear shoes is 'cos it promotes the look of real leather.

Anyone with half a brain and basic mathmatics will put 2+2 together and realise that they're not real leather.

Most, if not all charity shops won't sell donated fur items. As they don't want the hassle.

  • @Robbosmokes how does it show there are alternatives? how are people to know that your shoes are not real leather?

Do you wear a t-shirt everyday that states in big bold letters "these shoes I am wearing are not real leather, i am not promoting the look of dead animal skin"

  • people are so dumb, if u go into many mid range shoe shops u will find that 50% of shoes and boots are actually fake leather, fake sheepskin and even fake fur. so to assume someone is wearing leather in the 21st century is really thick.

  • Lol at the fact you choose to do this protest at beyond retro, when it is on the same road and area as loads of wholesale furrier and leather merchants? Who actually sell it brand new. I went into Beyond retro when you were there and I felt really intimidated and threatened by you and your protesters. This is not the way to do it - sorry. Ps leather shoes? come on guys.

  • @solitairekisses You felt threatened by me with a video camera ? Surely not!

Also - none of the protesters wear leather shoes, they are all vegan (ergo check your facts before posting or you make yourself look silly!).

  • @VeganDave001 well, seeimng as i saw quite a few protesters imn doc martemns i'll beg to differ. (my keybroard is brokemn sorry about thje spellimng mistakes.)

  • @solitairekisses Well those 'doc martens' are actually shoes from Vegetarian Shoes - look 'em up on the internet and you'll see that they are completely vegan.

Beg to differ if you wish, but again, check your facts before posting otherwise you make yourself look silly!

  • @solitairekisses explaimns thje doc martemns llabel hjamngig out thje bacjk. but amnyway, i thjimnk your techjmniques are violemnt amnd imntimidatimng, id hjappily chjat to amnyomne of you over a cup of tea. ill stop typimng mnow because im sure thjis brokemnmn keyboard stuff is hjard amnd amnmnoyimng to read.

  • @solitairekisses How are my techniques violent and intimidating by standing holding a video camera filming a legal and lawful demonstration ?!!

You're lying (or mistaken) about 'doc martens labels', the labels actually say 'Vegetarian Shoes', so please once again, make sure of your facts before you post otherwise you'll continue to make yourself look silly!

Why don't you visit the BR demo this Sunday and examine the tags of peoples' boots/shoes ?

Never be afraid of learning the truth!

  • @VeganDave001 you mean pleather shoes? You should stop promoting the 'look' of real leather.

  • @solitairekisses the same protesters do and have targeted new fur shops, although beyond retro also source new fur, vintage can mean 2 years old as well, there is no way of telling, if in doubt just simply wear fake fur.

  • nice to see you back on vid, shame on them,,

  • Looks like another good demo, Dave! SHAME ON BEYOND RETRO!!! Good video there. :)

  • Vintage fur doesn't contribute to the current fur industry. So you're " fur trade death trade" chant is is completley off the mark.

If a coat is over 50 years old.. what is the issue? woudl you rather it be thrown away? there's no point, it might as well be reused like any other second hand garments.

and why target Beyond Retro? there must be hundreds of shops in Brick lane selling real fur!

  • @loren1516 Hmmm...so no animal died to produce vintage fur, is that what you´re saying ?

Don´t you understand that today´s killing of animals for fur is tomorrow´s vintage fur ? Surely you can grasp a simple concept such as this ?

Can you reference how you know the garments sold in Beyond Retro are ´over 50 years old...´?

As to why target Beyond Retro - well, you´ll have to ask the campaigners that, their contact info is on the video.
