  • Lettuce? Seriously? Pretty sure protein supports muscle growth, but only if you break down muscle by EXERCISE! That means you would gain weight from a gain in muscle...unless when exercising you burn more calories than normal so you lose fat/weight. Lettuce is LOW CALORIE/NO CALORIE so if you actually eat lettuce maybe you are eating LESS! Therefore losing weight through a change in caloric intake!
