I live near dyess afb in texas I still go to the park thats by the end of the runway man when these things take off at night you can really see the heat and feel the noise it is awesome
I was a jet engine mechanic at Ellsworth Air Force base in South Dakota from 1996-2001, I use to sit in the Tiger-12 truck at the end of the runway when they would take off.... wow what a fond and glorious memory I have of those days.
HA I WAS THERE!!! IT WAS REALLY LOUD *but not loud enough to cover my ears* I go there every year, including the Dayton Airshow.. 2008 was awesome with the F/22 Raptor! I go all 3 days at the Cleveland airshow, One of the days the B1B had a vapour halo around it. majestic i tell u... :D
I dont blame the guy for covering his ears, The B-1B came to the cleveland airshow a couple years ago and im death in one ear and this thing made me cover my right ear for the rest of the show, regardless its my favorite bomber, I actually saw it up close at the wright patt air museam
wow...ive always wanted to see a B1B high speed pass in real life...i almost did at Airventure Oshkosh but they kept it on the ground when i was there...it is my fav. plane...and HUGE

in Tucson AZ, they have the repair crew for the B-1 and i live right at the end of the runway only i appreciate the noise

Yes this is the second time I have seen the B1B live. I am amazed that a plane this size can move that fast, it's truly an awesome site to see
