so some kid got his hands on some boos and shot someone somehow, anyone couldve done that. minor or adult. that doesnt mean venues should be 21+ everywhere...just be smart and go to the shows at ur own risk...shit happenes
what the fuck is this bitch talking about? like, why does she want the police to _enforce_ the alcohol possession law on minors?
'kay, that's the law and every venue is supposed to be respecting that, but why is it so important that the police should be ordered against those kids who still manage to get their hands on a drink?
Its stupid not to give kids something to do with their time. when i was 16 and there wasnt shit to do i was more likely to get into trouble.I'd rather have my kids (when i have them) go to shows even if they drink than to be out on the street at night looking for something to do because thats when trouble happens.
Here's what is happening. A sober minor was in a bar and shot by a stray bullet. Politicians, seeing an opportunity, played on the fear that this caused in the public and tried to slide through an age limit ban on such facilities. The thing we need to consider is, had the minor not been there, someone else would have been shot. this is not an age issue, this is a culture issue, this is a gun issue. Don't take away teens' rights.
you have the most valid point that is made here. the point is, is that someone was shot. not the fact that it was a minor. this is just politicians that know they cannot make guns illegal, so to give the illusion they are acting on an issue they bring this law in.
-If they were more sober not drinking. They would be able to re load faster and fire many more accurate rounds.
This is the most confusing debate I have ever heard. A point is a point stick to it. It does not seem like anyone knows what they are arguing for.
human error is finger pointing and head hunting. They want to look pro active towards prevention. But the drink and violent culture that is promoted is not about such small plans as described.
im not in dc so i havent been following this, do you have any information on what happened regarding this. THANK YOU for posting stuff like this. We need more stuff like this on youTube.
there was someone shot at a gig in january, apparently the person who owned the club was serving alcohol to people under age. imposing an all ages ban on the entire city isn't the answer.
I know the details, but Graham hasn't explained why he's even doing this. My best guesses are: - There's nothing else he can do, and this is an attempt to show he's not impotent - it's like the anti-dancing laws in NYC: just a way to give the city more power over what clubs can do what. - a way to get get bribes from club owners
No. Some girl at a hip hop bar was shot by a stray bullet. She wasnt drinking and nobody was serving her drinks... it honestly had nothing to do w/ alcohol. But people are trying to blame what happened on alcohol.
Ian Mackaye spoke more sense in 4 minutes than Mr Graham has spoken in 40 years. I think, sorry.
