My dad had one (he told me he got it free as long as he would give feedback).

As I recall the two biggest problems were in cold weather (we lived in Atlanta so semi-cold) the touchscreen didn't work at all, and you couldn't see the screen out side as it had poor contrast.

It's funny looking back almost 20 years later and seeing this big, bulky phone but for its time back in 1992, it would have been revolutionary. Remember most people didn't even have computers and internet. In many ways, modern smartphones like Windows Mobile, iPhone and Android devices have adopted largely from archaic devices like the IBM Simon.
