  • Just like the my grandpa has in the basement..much cleaner thou..to bad he wont ler me fire it :(((

  • SEEEEEEEEEERBIAAAAAAAAAA !!

  • yep she is awesome!! my favorite gun .period! .

  • SERBIAN GUN :)

  • @ThePavles Its Yugo rifle.

  • @dragotrucker1 ITS MADE IN KRAGUJEVAC TODAY IIN SERBIA !

THESE ARE STILL MAKING IN SERBIA ! SO ITS A SERBIAN RIFLE!!!

  • @ThePavles

they are not being exported currently there are not serbian rifles in the USA. only the YUGOSLAVIAN kits that came in years ago that were built into full rifles. maybe someday we will see serbian rifles but those are all being built in 5.45

  • @ThePavles . . . It's Yugoslavian . . .

  • @CaptSanderson Show me where Yugoslavia is on the map then

  • @twizz420 Yugoslavia doesn't exist anymore. That being said. The title clearly says "Yugo" - that being said Yugo is short for Yugoslavian. Whether or not it was made in the Serbian District is irrelevant because Yugoslavia was the country.

  • @ThePavles serbia sucks dick

  • @MyThePooP SERBIA IS KINGDOM FROM 1217 ! AND ITS MUCH OLDER AND PRETTIEST THAN YOUR FAGG COUNTRY SWEEDEN !

WHOLE WORLD KNOW WHAT SWEEDEN IS? COUNTRY OF FAGGS!

  • @ThePavles

serbia was a part of yugoslavija lol

  • @A7XfoREVer19971 Yes. but from only from 1941 to 1992...

And serbia have longest istory almost in whole europe!! And you slovenians? YOU NEVER HAD YOUR OWN COUNTRY UNTILL 1991!

  • basicly an ak

  • @mminner1231 ...with a heavy barrel and a bipod. An ordinary AK wouldn't be as accurate at longer ranges, and wouldn't be able to fire on full-auto for as long (AKs are great, but if you pour several hundred rounds through them the handguards catch light, which isn't so much of a problem for RPKs).

  • That is a Serbian Proverb.

  • @Ouija121085 Its Yugo not serbian.

  • Yugo made variants are not "copies" they are variants. BIg difference if you dont know what it means look it up. Second Yugo variants of AK47s are best in the world. Quality made since Marshall Tito was all into quality and was preparing for war for 50 years then he died and never saw it kinda sad... but anyhow these are among if not the best.

  • @Ouija121085 unfortunetly even tho im albanian i have to admit it they have real good aks and rpk

  • Just pointing out that this is in no way an actual light machine gun. More of a squad automatic. Light machine guns usually require the ability to fire more than 100 rounds without having your barrel become a lump of useless molten steel, and since RPKs can't change barrels, that means you have to be VERY careful about how much lead you throw downrange, or you'll end up with a nice piece of useless Russian weaponry.

  • @Sol417 And to qualify that, I mean 100 rounds per minute. Which if you're in a real deep-shit situation, it's very easy to exceed that without realizing.

  • You gotta love Yugoslavian copies..

  • @AccessDenied55 I'ts not an copy they had license for making those weapons, just like Israel has for ak-47 or China....

  • wow what a sexy firearm this is ;)

  • @Dudeman9339

    Let's help you with that

  • Post sample?

  • good LMG

  • its sorta lik the AK 47

  • As a collector(not in US) i own one of these. I also have full auto m70ab, M53,shpagin PPSh41 and thompson M1928A1. The irony is that full auto guns in US are harder to obtain/cost a fortune, but ammo is much much cheaper there, than in Europe. For example full auto m70ab2 cost about 500€-700€, thompson about 600€.

  • who pays for ammo? poor guy

  • I want one! loved the vid!......

  • ok for those who say the rpk was inaffective S.A.W. because it was unable to fire continuously, all machine gun crews including 50 cal m60 etc train to fire short bursts 3 rounds is short burst 4 long burst continuous fire is not controlled burst fire it is continuous fire. suppression fire is usually continuous as it does not need to be accurate A thousand rounds landing all over is more intimidating then a hand full of them landing close to u but not hitting you. please research not assume.

  • @wepntech A thousand rounds landing all over is more intimidating then a hand full of them landing close to u but not hitting you- I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT. As a matter of fact ...that's a ridiculous statement.

  • I went to bentons with my dad and saw a nice ak-47 for $470 dollars D: I wish i had the money to get it!!!

  • also to further the point, this isn't designed to really be a specialized machine gun, it's designed to be something you could throw to any conscript trained for an AK to use. The soviets had a dedicated machine gun, the PK, this was just to be supplemental to that and to be less specialized.

  • kewl great vid

  • is that barrel 23 inces? it looks shorter to me

  • why do people need assault weapons like this?

  • @BigSean1992 I'll ask you instead: Why not?

  • @oporim because they are dangerous and scary and no one needs them

  • @BigSean1992 assualt wepons are not dangerouse ignorace of use is dangrous

  • @poptat1 lol i know, if you look at my profile you would see i am rather pro gun, and i have THE video showing why the ban on MG's is illegal (imagine that, that crooked bastard charlie rangel passed this shit) i was just messing around out of sheer boredom, i would give my left nut for an original UZI and a Russian RPK and akm

  • @BigSean1992

    For fun =^_^=

Also if the USA is ever invaded by The Next Great Enemy, I would love for our Citizens to have the ability to protect themselves.

"[We will] never invade the United States. We would find a rifle behind every blade of grass."

~Isoroku Yamamoto, Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) during World War II

Support your right to bare arms, even if it is silly =^_^=

  • @BigSean1992 why do you think the cops should have them but not normal peolpe

  • @47kerley see @poptat1 lol i know, if you look at my profile you would see i am rather pro gun, and i have THE video showing why the ban on MG's is illegal (imagine that, that crooked bastard charlie rangel passed this shit) i was just messing around out of sheer boredom, i would give my left nut for an original UZI and a Russian RPK and akm

  • @47kerley Amen. Most cops I know are terrible shots, couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a howitzer.

  • @majorcrash84

I suggest you only 'give up' some time.. educate others, join a few organizations working for positive laws and things can change..

  • This thing sucks man, coming to you by a guy from Yugo!

  • um... i may be a nooby by asking this but.

It looks ALOT like an AK47 with bipod and that's it.. :/

  • @GothixZa

You are correct, that is an inexperienced statement

  • neato!

  • Whats the difference between RPK and AK47?

  • @Bernieo153

RPK has a longer and heavier barrel, and a thicker receiver.

  • But the M72 is not russian. Yugo (Zastava Oruzje) is Yugoslavian(Serbian).

  • @Fille3133

    and?

  • @GunWebsites well the text was in Russian...

  • @Fille3133

yea.. explaining the Russian abbreviation in the Yugo name..

  • @GunWebsites You called it "Ручной Пулемет Калашникова" and that's clearly Russian. And it's different from an real RPK...

  • Thanks GW for putting qoutes @ the end of each vid. I love using them on family and friends.

  • what camera did you use for the slow-mo?

  • @ms3bani

    Casio elxim

  • i love RPKs

  • i've got a theory you guys should try out for shooting videos, back the camera up a ways, slap it on a tripod and zoom in real close, most camera mics can't handle muzzle blast.

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana

we don't carry around a tripod

  • Thats a nice slow mo! you handled the recoil pretty well I'd say.

  • Very cool! The live road trip video blog yesterday was actually pretty enjoyable. I'm gonna have to plan to go there in October. Hopefully I can squeeze it in around my work schedule.

  • @taofledermaus

we'll work something out.. your camera was made for stuff like this !

  • nice what is that spring for???

  • nice

  • Wonder why this one is not chrome lined barrel. Is it just this example, or is it all rpk's ?

  • @BBQofDOOM Because its cheaper to make.

  • @BBQofDOOM

Romanian, chinese, and russian rpks have chrome-lined barrels. Yugo's don't because there's no local source of chromium in former Yugoslavia.

Also there's some accuracy advantage, but this is a SAW, accuracy doesn't matter nearly as much.

  • I really think the RPK leaves a LOT to be desired if it is supposed to be a light machine gun for a squad. It fires from a closed bolt, and it doesn't have a quick-change barrel. How is a squad supposed to get continuous fire on an enemy if their machine gunner has to consantly let up to preserve the barrel?

Contrast that that with an M60, M249, or MG42. Open bolt (so no cook off and quicker cooling), and quick change barrel.

  • @migkillertwo i second that opinion

  • @migkillertwo Tell that to people up there who supplemented M249s with long barrelled H&K 416's. Magazine-fed rifles should never take the role of belt-fed machine guns.

  • @migkillertwo But the M60 had alot of problems with jaming caused by sand and dirt. But the RPK (or any Ak for that matter) you could bury in sand and still be able to shoot it without cleaning it first. Also during the Vietnamn invasion most american soldiers choose to keep the BAR over the new M60 for a support weapon.

  • @Fille3133

I wonder if you have ever buried an AK rifle in sand and tried firing it. There's more than enough videos here on youtube to document that you CANNOT bury an AK in sand and expect it to function with combat reliability.

  • @migkillertwo

It's all soviet fighting doctrine. Squads in the russian army were large, and this was designed around quick bursts of high volume fire in fairly open ground. Not sustained urban combat like you see today or heavy bits of suppressive fire.

  • @migkillertwo Small mag capacity help some. Using the reg 30 or 40 Rd's mags. With a slow ROF of 600 RPM. makes it last a little longer. I understand what your saying, and agree.

  • @migkillertwo

You can't really compare it to those weapons you mentioned. Generally a squad of troops is centered around a PKM or two which is comparable with the weapons you mentioned, with the RPK serving as simply a support weapon to the PKM. However I do agree it is missing a lot of things which if it had could make it infinitely more capable. I think it is generally no more useful than an assault rifle in a squad, and in all honestly I don't see it as being very necessary.

  • @migkillertwo in yugoslavia its real name means "hand held machine gun" its not an LMG i know this couse i served with it 23 years ago we had a different gun for an LMG

  • @migkillertwo but it's still a fun weapon to fire

  • @migkillertwo I guess the Russian policy is to have disposable soldiers? I completely agree with you though. I know the idea behind the AK is to mass produce them and give them to poorly trained soldiers and make up for everything with numbers. This however I believe would be an awesome firearm for a civi to own in semi auto.

    Cool vid!

  • @migkillertwo its an ak74 just like the aks74u but longer so it would have those problems

  • @migkillertwo

You do know that the M60 weighs somewhere around 60 or so pounds. And tom feed the mg42 for front line combat you would need yet another squad carrying pretty much just ammo for the mg42.The only weapon you listed that is truely in the same class is the M249 SAW which is probably 10-15 years newer than the RPK.

  • @Headshotman2000

LOL, an M-60 weighs more like 20 pounds..

  • @GunWebsites

That's without the 100 round belt.

  • @migkillertwo - The RPK replaced the RPD, so Russia really went backwards... granted, the RPK was expected to be shooting from drums, and have magazine interchangeability, it's still a poor performer for a LMG. the mags are too heavy and weighed more than linked ammo (cannot carry enough ammo), still no quick change barrel. The Yugo RPK is the best of the RPK's, but the RPK's are the worst of the LMG's

  • @weaponeer but then the PKM entered the picture, and everything changed.

  • @b0sschunkz253 - The PKM while a great weapon, is still classed more as a general purpose machinegun, much like our M240B. They replaced the RPD (another fine weapon) with the RPK due to being lazy, and not redesigning the RPD in 5.45x39 with a QD barrel. had they done that they would have had a true LMG more inline with our M249. The PKM has no ammunition compatibility with the squad rifles, as any fine squad LMG would have. the RPK replaced the RPD, yet the PKM replaced the DP28, SGM, MAXIM

  • @migkillertwo I dont think it was designed for suppresing fire, i dont remember where i read that, but i think the RPD fills that role.

  • @migkillertwo i dont know about russia but in Cuba a Squad will be carring 3 PKM or 2 PKM and one RPK...

  • @migkillertwo Well the RPK is light machine gun, the MG and M60 are Multi-Purpose Machine guns. To compete with the M60 and the M249 and all those you are talking about is the PKM and you don't want to mess with that, 300 or more rounds without stop and nothing happens. And same with RPK, you get an RPK with a 75 round drum magazine and you can be shooting all rounds in full auto, the reload is much faster and and while you do that it cools... that is it Russian guns are perfect.

  • @zerocker45

Give me an rpk over M60 any day, less maintenance, lighter, compatibility with AK mags, 75 round drums, accurate enough, no need to screw with belt feed and it fires the most common round in combat use.

    RPK wins.

  • @dukenukemthreed And this guy is talking about barrel change... Bro You don't have to change barrels in an RPK hahahahahahhaaaa. That is true what you said.

  • @dukenukemthreed lol u said the same reasons i would go for the RPK :)

  • @zerocker45 wouldnt say perfect, but thier good, for how they are designed, there are things that they leave to be desired like ergonomics and accuracy, but thier pretty damn good anyways

  • @migkillertwo think of it not so much as a beltfed rifle as more to a supplement to the heavier machineguns, kinda like the IAR in usmc service

  • @migkillertwo you do realize that open bolt guns allows shit get in the action right?

  • @migkillertwo I guess thats a trade for being lighter.

  • No 40 round mags or 75 round drums? Tis a shame but still must have been quite fun to shoot.

Also hows the recoil? similar to standard AKs or what?

  • How is it different from the ak? Other than the barrel length and bi-pod.

  • Cool - A video from Sandy!

Thanks for getting this up so soon, G-Dub! :-)

  • @Hiluxtaco

need sleep.. buy caffeine is working for now

  • @GunWebsites You mentioned on last night's blog about going out to a shotgun(?) shoot today. Did you end up going?

  • @Hiluxtaco

no, slept a bit and went to the gun show, I wasn't up for another 3 hours of driving this week

  • @GunWebsites Snag anything cool at the gunshow?

So jealous I am.. The next gunshow around here is not for a few more months.. :-(

  • @Hiluxtaco

Yes, it was a good show this week.. we had 3 gun shows this month !! (4 in the state)

Did a video on the haul.. but it might be a while before I post it

  • very neat!!!

    ,jon

  • man that gun has a lot of kick. cool vid :) how accurate was it from the stand position?

  • @weller31989

Easy to hit a 55 gallon drum (those white things out there) with four rounds of full auto

  • @GunWebsites thxs always look forward to these videos and i'm going to love seeing more full auto coverage :) though i'd like to ask a question for all: What would be a good first gun say in a 22 caliber?

  • @weller31989 Ruger 10/22. Or a Marlin or Savage bolt action.

    Just sayin'...

  • this beast is so many levels of badassery. dude do they sell in semi auto?

  • so its basically big AK?

  • @ninjakawasaki1972 yap with a bipod...

  • @blackhawk42x theres gotta be another difference right?

  • @ninjakawasaki1972 the stock is a little different, and the barrel is longer. ya just that and the bipod.

  • Was there a good turnout this year? I have wanted to go to this shoot.

  • @MrM2hb

    It was pretty good IMO

    Lots of cool guns

  • nice video!!

  • Where do I sign up to do this? Haha

  • @SpahRoundHere

In the parking lot, near the shuttle stop
