To which this specimen has a color that is very very common up here in Northern Ontario.

I fish for both Northern Pike and Muskies all the time and that folks is a NORTHERN PIKE!!!

In fact the depression in the tail's fork is actually too deep to be a Muskie. 100% x 2 this IS a NORTHERN PIKE!!!

it is a muskie you can tell because it has no white spots and the fins are different I catch pike all the time and I know damn well its a musky....nice catch anyway

I wish you guys COULD tell the difference because of the spots, but the truth is that, while this fish looks silverish, it's a matter of the lighting and the video quality. The reality is that the fish is a Northern Pike, in MT we do not have natural muskie populations and the only ones we do have are in a handfull of lakes and are tiger hybrids, not muskie. The river system I was fishing that day has no muskies whatsoever. You guys should do research to back up your opinion.

The fish in the video is a northern pike, there are no muskies in the Milk river in Montana. I agree with you guys that the fish does indeed LOOK like a muskie with a poor video picture and the way the light was, but the truth is it's a pike. Sorry to discredit your expertise in fish identification, but thanks for watching and commenting.

Im from Minocqua Wisconsin look it up muskie capital of the world. Anyway birds eat fish birds poop in the water eggs from the fish it eat go into the water. Then wala a muskie is born. thats why you don't shoot lead shot at ducks. because the fish eat it and the eagale eats it and dies.
