  • Never saw this before somehow but it seems more Nickelodeon oriented (well back then anyway) to me.

  • why kitty bobo, and this don't are created as full shows? It has many potential of awesomeness!

  • great classic job. excelennt

  • Yeah well...my dad got connections when he joined the free masons.

  • Lydia should buy a lottery ticket when she turns 18.

  • i vaguley remember this...good times

  • OMG; best breakfast EVER.

  • what a waste of animation

  • Comment removed

  • Dammit! I want Lydia's luck!

  • Hey fellow animation fans! We just finished an animated pilot that we're trying to get picked up. Take a look on our main page and let us know what you think!

  • i meen 3:35

  • 3:46 sounded like aint this a bitch

  • Oh man I remember watching this. So much nostalgia, I loved this short.

  • 3 people are unlucky

  • Dude, I remember this!!!!!!!!!!! holy cow, this is nostalgic. At the time when I saw it I didn't know it was a pilot for a show, I thought these were just random shorts. Do you know what that show with the cactus kid is called?

  • lol bob camp created this cartoon and work in the ren & stimpy show in nickelodeon col!!!!!!!

  • Awesome short. I knew I shoulda watched this 10 years ago when it aired.

  • I remember how this cartoon was advertised and shown.... once? That's about it though.

I can see why they would have made a show out of it but at the same time I can see why not.

  • Oh my! I wish i was that rich. XDD

I'd never have to worry about running out of things to do around this boring town ever again!

  • I ROFL everytime I hear the name "ol' Mr. Peevish".

And I bet she's the cause to the whole "double rainbow" ordeal. Haha.

  • Laraine Newman from the 70s SNL, did the voice of Lucky Lydia.

  • Oh wow, I love the style.

  • What the hell is that Dad eating, hair?! O_o

  • Ed Edd and Eddy meets Ren and Stimpy!

  • it to bad this never became a series!

  • its like ed edd and eddy on speed

  • NOOOTT THAAAAT... okay

  • Would do better on nicktoons, nick or nick jr.

  • Thanks for posting this. I voted for this show back when they had that contest on CN, and was pretty bummed when it lost to Billy & Mandy.

  • @BlipoutProductions Same here. I also felt pretty bummed that Foe Paws did not make it either.

  • Cartoon Network really should have put this up.

  • LOL!! Did youi see how cute the three boys looked in those baby carriages drinking from baby bottles? Cute AND funny! Don't YOU think so?

  • Guess Lydia wasn't really lucky after all, considering that they never did anything with her after this.

Then again, we're talking about a girl who thirty seconds into her cartoon, reveals she's so lucky she ends up throwing away pots of gold which show up under her pillow so, it's not like the cartoon was really trying to give us reason to like the character.

  • I have a feeling Stephenie Meye had a hand in this.

  • I never saw this cartoon before. I've seen the other pilots from What-A-Cartoon as a kid but not this one.

Thanks for sharing & uploading this video! :)

  • that lydia sure is lucky!

  • @bigfatpyxie

She sure is. Pity we weren't as Cartoon Network didn't pick up the show!!!

  • @onafilloy Meh, it's probably a good thing that they didn't pick it up. I mean, what more boring than a protagonist that never loses, or that has no flaws?

  • @onafilloy

While the cartoon being animated incredibly well and has funny moments of it, I can see why it didn't make it. Style and pacing wise it's too similar to past cartoons, and it really hard to make a running series with a main character that always wins and gets what they want with little to none effort or conflict.

  • @morphississ True. They would have most likely had to focus the series on the Baxter Gang and their incredible bad luck. Lydia would get annoying after a while.

  • Wow!! Awesome! Thanks so VERY much for posting this cartoon!! I've been looking all over for this!

  • Hey, I remember seeing this! I hoped it would become a full-fledged cartoon, but I guess Grim & Evil got the most views. Maybe someday. :< Thanks for posting it! Been meaning to watch it again. :)

  • Actually all the design is by Arthur Filloy (including the sideways nose holes), the color is by me Ona Filloy. The medal to camp would be turning the premise into a properly structured cartoon and adding loads of gags. Still appreciate the comment.

  • @onafilloy Oh wow! I remember this from when I was only 6! i can't believe you're the one who made it.Brings back memories.

  • @NegaRose13 Thanks for your comment and pleased you enjoyed it again!!

  • beautifully designed

    great color

give camp a medal for the sideways nose holes

  • The badger popping up is just hilarious. Why can't cartoons have this sort of cute, but dastardly style, instead of trying to be outrageous (gross, and swearing) all the time for views.

  • Great short film. Definitely something Bob Camp shoulda done right after Spumco, and discontinue Ren & Stimpy instead.
