  • It's terrible how colorizing just ruins the suspense and performances in this movie.

  • it may not be the best movie, but is not the worst due the fact we still watching this film , and some how we got attached to the screen once we star watching the film, don´t know what it is, maybe psychedelia or something else ,but you have to be on the mood to enjoy it,

  • I love this film! I was entertained the first time I watched it. I cannot call this the worst film ever made because I enjoy it so much. There are plenty of movies that I have watched that bored me or made me lose interest. This one never did! So thank you Ed Wood!

  • wow, this is about the best colourizing I have seen. It actually works well, unlike some of the Ray Harryhousen classics that just look bad once colour has been added.

  • must've been good. no razzie nominations or wins

  • The lazer gun is jammed

  • Horror novel see video book trailer

  • check out horror doo wop RETARDS WITH RAYGUNS subscribe

  • Ed Wood was a terriable director, but you have to give him credit for his pasion about films.

  • @PrinceCharles677 you`re right!

  • If you look at the guy with the cape at 1:22 , you can see him quickly adjusting his cape before it falls off.

  • This film is still FAR superior to 'Twilight.'

  • these movies are pretty funny, but i think ed wood gets ridiculed too much. he definitely took the cheap route, but he put a lot of effort into putting these films together. the money just wasn't there. read the book nightmare of ecstacy and you will understand the passion this man had for his work.

  • @geovettes

The only people who think Ed Wood is bad, are ones who've never seen "Santa Claus and the Icecream Bunny".

  • @geovettes The movie "Ed Wood" also gets into how confident he was in the makings of his movies.

  • it is a trule bad movie. as expected. especialy notice the cocpit its by far the worst set ever. haha.....

  • haha It looks even funnier in color. It seems like it's broad daylight!

  • This movie is bad,but a lot of fun.Just like Troll 2..

  • I normally can't stand colorized movies, but I think it really adds to the wonderful cheapo atmosphere of Plan Nine somehow.

  • Lord help us all, ALIEN GRAVE ROBBERS!!!!!

  • 0.49 - perfect camuflage

  • Fantastic acting, really...

  • ZOMBIE ALIENS WHAT ELSE WOULDINT BE THIS GOOD

  • anyone who says this film is no good is missing the point.

  • why do the ambulance men throw the dead man onto the floor ? its clearly visible they do this

  • yes it's bad but compared to Transformers Revenge on the Audience, well, it's positively brilliant

  • This movie was so boring compared to "Glen or Glenda?", and not to mention that Bela Lugosi was actively participating in that movie. I can't help but feel his footage here is just an insult to his memory (which makes it suck even more because I really don't think Ed Wood intended it that way). :(

  • I was in a decent mood until I saw this trailer.

  • 1:20 What earthly power can stop this terror?

    answer: a simple fistfight.

  • Ed Wood is the mentor to Uwe Boll!

  • @deran88 lol

  • Did anyone notice at 1:19 that one of the "alien gadgets" on the desk is what looks like an over-sized fishing bobber, taped to an alarm clock, that is on top of a toy treasure chest? Seriously those are probably the saddest aliens I have ever seen.

  • 0:16 As the screen's greatest shock star......

I love how they're trying to make the film look like a good one, when it eally isn't.

  • "He's dead...and someone is RESPONSIBLE!" lol

  • This looks even cornier in colour lol. Best bad movie ever!

  • this movie was choosen as the worst movie ever made, sorry its say that but its true.

  • @rabies79

baby genious is worst film ever

you cant find this in imdb top 100 worst film list

  • Come on! this movie is the clear definition of "cult-movies"! The movie is (as it says on the poster) "so bad it's good"!

The most hilarious thing about this movie is that Ed Wood actually took this movie seriously! i mean, it's not pronounced as a comedy, dude!

And in somewhat way i can actually consider this a masterpiece!

Plus Ed Wood was not the worst director of all time!

He loved the whole movie-world! sacrificed anything to complete a full movie!

I love Ed Wood! He was dedicated!!!!

  • my fave scene must be 1:21 to 1:31.

  • This film doesn't 'seem' too bad. I have to see it first.

If you want to see a bad movie, check out The 'X' From Outer Space.

It's a low budget 60's Japanese film along the lines of Godzilla. A spaceship crew brings back a strange substance from space. It escapes and mutates with a chicken to create a strange Godzilla/Chicken monster that terrorizes Japan's HO scale countryside. The creature is named Guilala. It has antennae and shoots fire. It's as absurd as you think.

  • so unimaginable horrible it the greatest thing ever made!

  • It should have been nominated for at least 14 Oscars.

  • i'm gonna have nightmares after seeing this

  • Bela Lugosi died during the filming. He was replaced by someone that was at least six inches taller than he was. The filming of the movie was actually at Bela Lugosi's real home. The man who replaced him in the movie never revealed his face. I can't blame him. hee..hee....

  • Have shit - can't travel!

  • This is "S" rated which stands for shit! Shit, crap, terrible, foul, deposed, sublimation, extorted, really bad, bad to the bone, Hitler personality, spermed, constipated shit faced movie. If you wish to see something very bad just run this video!!! You will like it!!

  • I love this movie

  • So awful, I have no choice but to love it.

  • 1:22

Thats a strange fence in the background

  • 0:19 Bega Lugosi is.......ashamed......

  • The recent Rifftracks Live version was super-funny.

Question: Imagine that there really is such a thing as Solaramite (sp?) , the thing that, like gasoline, and ignites a ray of sunlight, acting like a fuse that would ignite the sun, then all stars in the galaxy, then all the stars in the universe...how would any alien race know about this? The first advanced technology civilization would have discovered it, then the whole universe would've blown up! Right? Right? I know I'm right on this...

  • "Yes I know it's just a Ed Wood movie, but these questions MUST be asked" (as Mulder might say) As BAD/GOOD as this movie is,and how many times I've watched it,is it just me that has this question about the Aliens? This is the 9th plan they have come up with to take over the world by raising the dead What happened to the first 8?They obviously didn't work either. If this is all they can come up with in 9 try's and STILL can't take over the world! Some SUPIEROR race I know they didn't take my sister

  • Actually, the movie was titled "Grave robbers from Mars" originally, but the baptist church (!) was financing it (because Wood persuaded them to make it, and earn money from it to finance movies about Jesus and his disciples), but thought that grave robbing is blasphemous, so they demanded from Wood to rename the movie into "Plan 9 from outer space". The title was their idea. Silly right?

  • Actually, the original title was 'Grave robbers from outer space'!

Criswell, says the original title in his opening monologue of the movie, but you're right about the church objecting and getting it changed.

  • lol good question. I know plan 10 is being discussed with the Greys & UN Representatives as we speak though.

  • wow...imagine watching this blazed.

  • I think it's really cool in c-o-l-o-r ~ I don't really see why some viewers are against colorization, for I think the process has improved considerably since it was first introduced in the 80's!

  • The reason I am against colorization is first, that for those folks who grew up knowing only color films, it is intellectual laziness not to acclimate one's self to black and white. There is no excuse for that stuff. Most films work better in black and white because it allows for a more clear sight of the actors' character presentations.

  • i think i read somewhere that Hitch chose to do 'Psycho' in b/w because color would have been too much of a distraction..what he did with light and shadow did as much for the plot as the plot itself..and there's something to be said about b/w: i watched an old ep of 'Rawhide' from 1959, and the photography was brilliant!

  • Thank you disabled1955. You give evidence to my point. Color should be used only to enhance the story of the film, there needs to be a reason for it. See the film "Odds Against Tomorrow" which helps accent this iportant point of filmmaking. Besides being such a great film, the fact that it is in black and white accents the actors motions, expressions, forces the actors to act and communicate and by these means gives tension and adventure to the story.

  • Did you know?

The Director of this film often put on woman's clothing to 'perk up' the actors when things were tough. True story.

  • Not true at all. Ed Wood, Jr was a transvestite who simply got his kicks wearing women's clothes. He wore a suit and tie to direct this film.

  • To tell the truth, the coloured - version give the film a realism that make spectators consider it in even a worst way!!!!

  • Looks Like A david Lynch Movie with the red curtains

  • I'll say it again---CGI enhancements!!!

An entire FLEET of saucers headed for Earth!

Tor and Vampira leading an army of rotting zombies through an elaborate graveyard!

A virtual Bela Lugosi face grafted onto an actor---REALLY bring him back from the dead!

    {Not the entire movie,but can't you just see a trailer like that?}

  • the remake is coming out soon, maybe they have a sense of humor

  • azrial, I really believe that Ed Wood was expressing his sense of humor when he made this, and most of his films. I find it strange that folks do not get his joke. Well, the saucers are up there, but you'll be in there and I'll be in there.

  • k..... I was talking bout the remake, it would be dumb cause it would never come near what ed wood did

  • wow, even electro guns from outer space can jam huh.

  • More like the BEST movie ever made!

  • lol at 1:23 . he has to pull his cape up again!

  • Hmmmmm what a unique idea....... Combining one of the worst Ideas in Entertainment History...the unnecesary and quality debasing colorization of classic black and white movies, with a film that is commonly believed by experts worldwide as the worst movie ever made!!!!! Elements of 2 of the worst ideas in moving pictures combining to make something not quite as good as either... EELS!!!!! sorry couldnt resist a sort of psuedo qoute from the mighty boosh there at the end!!!LOL!!

  • yarly, but the mike nelson commentary ought to be good.

  • Purple? I dunno why, but the aliens wearing purple uniforms seems to me.... out of place. And this is Plan 9 we're talking here!

  • 0:22

"Ugh, why did I sign up for this..."

  • that skeleton was totally plastic! lol

  • Plans 1-8 did not work, by the way.

  • That movie shows us the point of life! It is best!

  • I've always wondered how they add colour to b&w films...?

  • I suppose they take the film and process it in the same way they'd process colour film.

  • The color makes the quality look great!

  • We'd better get going. It's getting dark.

  • The greatest movie ever made! ;)

  • i give legendfilmsinc an oscar for colourising this film if i'm rich.

  • But what can I do to stop these

    intergalactic grave-robbers?

  • I like it in color....

  • OSCAR FOR ALL !!!

  • This movie is great, the best part is when the fat guy is dead on the ground and the cops says"He's dead" but you can see the guy breathing. LOL

  • I whacthing this movie in my english class.

  • How did they do tha

  • do what? make this movie?...lol

  • the color

  • Somehow, I really doubt Vampira was wearing long, shocking pink fingernails with that costume... blood red, maybe... but PINK?!

  • bipolarber did you know she made her nails by cutting out tupperware pieces? They didn't have fake nails that long at the time.

  • I imagined the alien's uniforms being green, not purple.

  • Poor Bela died halfway through production. He had a heroin habit, but it might have been just his age that did him in. Wood scrambled to get this piece of shit finished without Bela.

    Definitely something of note.

  • LOL at 0:20

Lugosi is like "Oh, Shit. Not again..."

  • What I was thinking, lol

  • haha.. nah its because his wife died .. prolly already knew that tho huh?

  • I actually enjoyed this movie. Not just because of the crap-factor either. In my opinion, it's a horror classic.

  • i always wanted to see this movie ever since i played Destroy all Humans!

  • Zero points for spamming with MST3K in the description, MORANZ

  • Edd Wood is great!

He wanted to create a terror movie but he created the best comedy ever!!!!

  • best seen in black and whit IMO, interesting to see this in color though

  • upload again in 640 x 480 so we can see this classic more clearly

    : D

  • This of course begs the question, "What about the first 8 "plans?"...guess they didn't work out, those dang Electrobe guns keep getting jamned!

  • Yay! pass the popcorn!

  • jesus h. christ what a load of shit.

    It blows dicks so bad!!!

  • either A) you have never heard of this film before or B) you have never heard of this film before, in colour

  • and C) he knows peice of shit movies when he sees them it was number 1 on the "top 100 worst movies ever made" list

  • Actually Glen Or Glenda (Another Ed Wood Movie) knocked it into second place. Terrible movie, but still, making a bad movie is still better than making no movie at all, and you can always turn off. There's something fascinating about Ed Wood- Tim Burton knew this.

  • And Burton made a lovely hommage to Ed Wood with his movie. "Ed Wood" has an excellent cast - Johnny Depp as Ed Wood is simply excellent.

  • color helps a lot---looks like TYPICAL 21st century hollywood movie (minus the budget BUT with more creativity).

  • Plan 9 is THE MOVIE. lol.

    What a shit!!!!

  • SUPERTRASH!

  • Wow we've come a long way! thanks for sharing

  • I agree with discokills... yes this movie was bad but it wasnt the worst

  • this movie is bad, but i don't believe it's the worst.

  • The worst movie I had the "honor" to watch is the remake of "13 Ghosts". THAT sucked big time and was the only film I fell asleep watching.

Plan 9 from outer space is like a movie made by ten year-olds playing directors, writers, special effects crew and actors. If you see it that way it's really fun to watch.

    I've enjoyed it.

  • What is worse than Plan 9?........Plan 9 in colour!!!!

  • rotfl thats even cheaper then "The giant claw"

  • I want one of those sand shooting guns

  • ED wood really does give the expression of its so good, IT'S BAD!!

  • that is both fabulously terrible and disgustingly good

  • Colorizing this was stupid. But then colorizing any black and white film is stupid. This is hardly the worst film ever made. However, Wood's way of doing things is, shall we say, very wierd. I find this film better than something like The Day After Tomorrow. Plan 9 at least had a notion of a sci fi story and did tell the story instead of an idiotic political statement like the other film.

  • No mate, YOU are stupid, AND probably 15. Get back to your homework.

  • im a fan of this flick but definately agree that its much better in B&W

  • STUPID STUPID STUPID

  • Uh, Day After Tomorrow had three things Plan 9 didn't: A budget, actors who can actually act, and a sensible plotline. This movie's the best of the worst, mate. I'm only 14 and I can see that.

  • The Day Aftertomorrow had a sensible plotline? Well, I can forgive that statement, you're only 14. =)

  • well if you compare it to plan 9 it has a sensible plotline anyway.

  • it did have a sensible plot line the catastrophic affects of global warming then global cooling, plan 9 was just randomness mixed with other randomness hoping to get something worth watching...EPIC FAIL!!!!

  • this is terrible,i LOVE it!!!

  • check out my spoof plan 11 from outer space

  • If Ed Wood was alive today, he'd team up with Uwe Boll.

  • It's beyond belief that Boll gets millions to produce his "films", everytime.

I think that Boll would be Ed's fundraiser, but Ed, the master himself, would do all the "creative" things himself.

  • so bad it's good

  • THEY'RE coming from the bowels of hell? Wow. Hell MIGHT just be alot of fun. Sign ME up.

  • Um, why are they confusing vamps with zombies? I agree, this entire film doesn't make sense.

  • thank you for putting this up. i am completely obsessed with ed and was already planning on buying the new color version, now because of you i know that it will be worth it!

  • Whoops, by most I meant worst.

    ~Static 4.0

  • ...Looks like the most movie EVAR... xD

    ~Static 4.0

  • this is one of my favorite movies ever...I have a tattoo of vampira from it on my leg :-P

  • Wow! It looks great in color!!!

  • I like the last shot of the skeleton!

  • I think Wood would have approved of his films

    being colorized myself,

He did everything on the cheap and instead of Technicolor if it had been available to his budget I think he would have probably gone for colorization or the cheapest most crappy looking color system available

    within his budget.

  • i love it!! i myself am a fan of Ed Wood's work, as mind-numbingly awful as it is. one thing i've always wondered is, knowing fully well Ed didn't have a very decent budget, where one earth did he get that wonderful soundtrack to his movies? it seems they alone are good unto themselves, just wonder how he got the dough to pay the composer who came up with them?

  • I don't understand how they can put color. Look original... very original

  • ed wood was the best b movie's director ever i think every director must follow is example and after all there's BELA LUGOSI!

  • ed wood's films rules (trashly saying)

  • I have seen this movie and it really really sucked^^

"We must get home ... its getting dark" says the one man to another as they stand in pure darkness on a graveyard

  • It would be great to see the first season of Lost in space in color. How bout it Colorizers.

  • In color looks "less" cheap...

  • Even the trailer for it looked terrible!!!!!

But man, it looks like a great sleeper hit at Block Buster!!!

  • It's a cult movie, I love it and I don't care if it's the worst film of all time.

  • as much to say, u can learn many things in ed wood's work, when ur in film making, things that u aren't supposed to do. and right, his movies are really perfectly done to the worst. and that makes it priceless.

  • Ed Wood is the patron Saint of youtube

  • Well said!

  • Z-Movie

  • Brilliant movie isn't it! lol. I made an tribute movie to it; it's on my site.

  • I don't care if it is in color, i'm not paying 14.95 for this!

  • They did a good job on the color for this one.

Ever notice that Plan 9 has the same plot as the "Phantasm" series and "Invisible Invaders". They just did it better.

  • B-B-B-B-B-MOVIE!!!!

  • what is this movie about??? I mean we have zombies,a Vampire, human extraterrestrial

  • "Revelation of things to come"?? I'm not worried. Luckily our technology has reached a point where we could easily shoot down hubcaps now.

  • Damn that movie sucked

  • Hello, how to made that colorization?

    is any Software ?

you know de name of this Program ?

    thank you

  • i dont think it was done 'digitaly'. There were times where film company bought a bl
