  • hey that tool you had in the beginning with the cam and the leverage on the other side do you not like that one does it break off the studs or is it better to get the last one you had

  • i got a turbo from a mate and theres a broken off bolt on the exhaust side of the turbo where the down pipe connects, its pritty stuck in there by the looks of it and its flush with the turbos surface, any ideas?

  • @Saferetias - Slounds like you will have to take the part to someone with a bolt disintegrator (ELOX) machine.

  • whats the name of the last tool, the one that took the stud out?

  • /watch?v=iyMkTQDFUsw I have the same problem as this video the feedneck thread is stucked on my marker theres any tool or something to unscrew it? pls help

  • @ Nettikturbo. How much will it cost to hire the removal for the two times you would use it? Can you hire it done for less that the tool cost. IE. $200-150(the price you get when you sell it in almost new condition)=50. If you use it twice that is only $25. A shop wouldn't even look at it for that much around here.

  • for $185 I can have a lot of things I'll use more than twice.

  • Yeah I have a question... CanI borrow the tool?

  • @Nettikturbo - For $185 + shipping you can have the tool.

  • Awesome video...

  • Great video. I have a semi-stripped wheel lug on my car. How can I get that out? Any ideas? Thanks.

  • There are at least a couple of brands that have this type of tool. One is Klann from Germany, owned by Gedore I think. Another is the American brand Mayhew, although I don't know if the actual tool is made in USA.

  • Where can i buy one, i have a broken screw kind of like yours.

    Thank you.

  • can this tool be used to remove a rounded head on a bolt? I was trying to remove the bolt on my rear lower control arm and the socket broke resulting in a rounded bolt head. Now, its stuck on there and i have no idea how to get it off..

  • @gsrstreetracing - This tool is used on studs - not bolts. There are several extractors available for bolts, Sears has one that grabs the outside of the bolt head and you can remove it that way. You are probably gonna have to get professional help.

  • @fiatnutz I tried the bolt off thing from sears but it didnt work at all. (garbage in my opinion) I ended up cutting the head off and the nut on the other side. And then I replaced both with new parts. works great.

  • They sell these on the Snap-On tools website under Stud Removers. I tried to link it but YouTube denied the link lol! Very useful tools!

  • @randall2051 - Where are your vids to show how to do this, I would be interested in seeing them all.

  • @fiatnutz Hi there.

Will this extractor grip onto a broken glow-plug, if enough showing?

  • @randall2051

don't you have anything better to do then bother someone who makes great vids?

  • @randall2051 have you heard of a easy out ? drill a hole in the bolt and the easy out has reverse thread and grabs it

  • @holdenrulz In my long experience Easy-Outs only work with nice shiny oily bolts that have snapped owing to excess load. A typical example might be diesel engine flywheel bolts that have failed as a result of bump starting or years of abuse by labouring the engine in an attempt to save fuel. Easy-Outs never seem to work with severely rusted bolts that are over fifty years old and weathered. In such cases the welder method has to be used. Good luck!

  • Hello John Edwards, i have a question : what's the name of this tool and where is possible to buy this tool, we don't have a good tool in france for remove a broken bolt, thank you and congratulations for you videos, i like your job. See you soon

  • @JEROMEGORDINI - I got the tool from my Snap-On tool dealer. I believe that they have European distribution, if not send me a PM and I'll see what I can do to get you one.

  • @fiatnutz thank you very much i have send you a PM, have a good day and see you soon

  • Where did you get that tool? I have never seen one like that.

  • I'm using penetrating oil and carefully with the pipe wrench tool. It just bites the stud and then a sudden push to hear some squeak and the stud is free. :)

Of course if there was this sort of tools here in BG I would buy some.

  • alot of way u can remove a stud, welding a nut on the stud work too,but that tool u have is nice

  • Sweet!

  • Gracias, no conocia esta herramienta.

  • the final tool u used waht was it and were can i find one?

  • With a protruding one like that my younger brother welded a nut on, it worked a treat though I am sure a professional would cringe at the concept. Great videos John, hope to see more footage of the mighty Fiat soon!
