I actually think this round was definitly not up to Maria's usual standards. And she is posting really oddly in the beginning. She had a bunch of glitches in her distances in the beginning. Her horse was really out of gear and she seemed to keep saving her round. She's definitly much better than this round.
well this is junior riding so the oldest you can be is 17 and when you tuen 18 then you eaither have to move up to adult divisons or go on to be a jumper/grand prix rider
in show years you can be 18 . that is your last year. Like i think Natalie Johnson was 19 when she was on horsepower but because of her birthday her horse show age was 18.
Personally, I think her style of riding for Equitation is better than Brianne. I am not trying to diss anyone but she has textbook position while Brianne is hard on her horse's back. It's not about the horse its the rider
Out of all the Horse Power girls, Maria Shaub is def. the best rider. She rode horses that she only had a week to ride before going to show on. She has learned to ride whatever is thrown at her and not to rely on pushbuttons. Thats my opinion.
you know, she has REALLY good equitation and her horse is just fantastic, wish my horse could be that good but that would be optimistic to the point of breaking
her equitation is just simply fantastic...i always thought that if amigo hadnt been sold that she couldve gone on to do amazingly well at the maclay finals with him. anyways, wonderful round. great video!
I agree. I love her riding, I follow her blog =] you can get to it from equisearch dot com. I think its cool she does that. and yeah she has drop dead gorgeous equitation! =D
That was a pretty good round. Her horse is GORGEOUS. I wuva him. Some racehorses go for triple plus that, which makes sense because they earn even more that that in their career. A lot of good riders don't own the horses they show slash ride.
All of the well known equitation riders have sold there horses in the past year or two. I think it's crazy how people can afford horses like that! How much would a horse capable of winning the Maclay cost? $120,000 or around there?
Please go watch my video of me jumping my horse bolero!
Feedback would nice, so rate & comment :)

I've been riding under supervision for 6 months, and I would kill to ride like this girl. So quiet and composed. It hurts to look at her ride.

she's amazing. i like how she's not way out of the saddle on the flat like brianne goutal was in her eq days.
EquestriansRock 2 years ago 3
She got very deep in some places and her horse had a bit of a loose front end, but wonderful jumping effort and talented riderr.

i think i liked Chelsea's course better :/
Maria got deep (not necessarily chipped) to a lot of fences
no doubt she is an amazing rider! but i like Chelsea's course better it flowed more
Does anyone know if there was 2 sections or how Chelsea did?

So,Sunny Delight, where do you think she had a chip because I don't see it.
Since the judges sit really high they can see it at Devon - so you are saying the judges, Karen Healey and Leo Conroy couldn't see a chip?
I looked at the tape a few times again so I could see it but I don't
beentherealready 4 years ago
actually she didn't lol. she did get a few distances a little deep but I thought she did but i watched again and she didn't lol, whoops.
Sunny1Delight 4 years ago

well she catch rides and you have to ride every horse differently
Resiliance93 4 years ago
Yes, but she is a very talented rider and normally rides better than this. No matter who you are riding it is a mistake to chip a jump ;-)
Sunny1Delight 4 years ago
oh i always keep the volume off so i prob didnt hear it but ya your right

I believe this horse is Versace, owned by the King-Kaplan's, but am not 100% sure.
What a wonderful rider and beautiful trip. She certaintly deserves all of her success.

Which horse was Maria riding? So responisive and trained-that was an incredible round. Talk about push button horse! =)
Cutelilpebbles12 4 years ago
just because she makes it look easy doesn't mean thats a push button horse. eq is all about making every horse look like a packer.

i'd do anything to have the money for stuff like that.

horsecrazy07 4 years ago
Maclay horses can go for upwards of $500,000... they are a very specific type of horse, so the ones that are good are VERY expensive.
horsecrazy15 4 years ago
Oh wow!! That's insane!!!! I would die and go to heaven if I could have the chance to ride a horse like that!!
