  • Please go watch my video of me jumping my horse bolero!

Feedback would nice, so rate & comment :)

  • I've been riding under supervision fvor 6 months, and I would kill to ride like this girl. So quiet and composed. It hurts to look at her ride.

  • that's such a pretty horse. Maria is such a good rider =)

  • she's amazing. i like how she's not way out of the saddle on the flat like brianne goutal was in her eq days.

  • She got very deep in some places and her horse had a bit of a loose front end, but wonderful jumping effort and talented riderr.

  • i love her! great rider!! but she pulled him up to a few fences and got a little deep but other than that shes fantastic and i love her horse!!

  • may i please use this in a video im making? i will give you credit in it!

  • No - she sold whimsey. He was second in last years THIS children's medal.

  • well thats good that he recovered

  • God i love her shes like my hero!

i think shes a better rider thab Briane! =]

  • i agree! shes got a lovly seat and such quiet hands!

  • yes that plus the fact that many people can relaate to her because she has never owned several horses like many of the other equitation riders LOL :D

  • i think i liked Chelsea's course better :/

Maria got deep (not necessarily chipped) to a lot of fences

no doubt she is an amazing rider! but i like Chelsea's course better it flowed more

Does anyone know if there was 2 sections or how Chelsea did?

  • ooo thanks that makes sence haha

  • no, her sleeve idk maybe its sum sorta design lol

  • its for best junior rider at devon. it lets the judges know that they are part of that competition

  • What a lovely rider.

  • wats on her jacket?????

  • Uh her number

  • Uh her number

  • So,Sunny Delight, where do you think she had a chip because I don't see it.

Since the judges sit really high they can see it at Devon - so you are saying the judges, Karen Healey and Leo Conroy couldn't see a chip?

I looked at the tape a few times again so I could see it but I don't

  • actually she didn't lol. she did get a few distances a little deep but I thought she did but i watched again and she didn't lol, whoops.

  • ya maybe it was just a noise in the stands or something cuz i didnt hear it eaither LOL

  • I actually think this round was definitly not up to Maria's usual standards. And she is posting really oddly in the beginning. She had a bunch of glitches in her distances in the beginning. Her horse was really out of gear and she seemed to keep saving her round. She's definitly much better than this round.

  • well she catch rides and you have to ride every horse differently

  • Yes, but she is a very talented rider and normally rides better than this. No matter who you are riding it is a mistake to chip a jump ;-)

  • oh i always keep the volume off so i prob didnt hear it but ya your right

  • This is a junior equitation class at the Devon Horse Show

  • How old are the girls competing in this?

  • well this is junior riding so the oldest you can be is 17 and when you tuen 18 then you eaither have to move up to adult divisons or go on to be a jumper/grand prix rider

  • in show years you can be 18 . that is your last year. Like i think Natalie Johnson was 19 when she was on horsepower but because of her birthday her horse show age was 18.

  • oh ok so you can be 18...wat do you mean show years?

  • For USEF you have "show years" i beleive your show age is the age you are on december 1 of that year.

  • oh wow i didnt even know that well thanks for letting me know lol :D

  • your age as of december of that year, something like that

  • think it's as of december 21st or 31st or something, but yep december.

  • oh ok thx.

  • loveee this horse!

  • thats what i was wondering, like I show 3'6 but these look really big!

  • This is a video from a section of the ASPCA Maclay class at the Devon Horse Show in May 2007. The fences are 3'6"

  • pretty perfect if you ask me (:

    is the maclay 3'6?

  • Yep the Maclay is 3'6"...although in this vid the fences look bigger for some reason lol.

  • Personally, I think her style of riding for Equitation is better than Brianne. I am not trying to diss anyone but she has textbook position while Brianne is hard on her horse's back. It's not about the horse its the rider

  • how...brianne has like the lightest half-seat ever lol havent you seen her ride? LOL

  • what state is this in? :)

  • she is REALLY good. =]

  • OMG I love it when ever you go there its so nice but ive only been there once to watch but OMG i loved it

  • ur horsee is adorabblle.. how did u do in that class?

  • this isn't me. it's maria schaub. she won.

  • wow that question left me speechless

  • Me Too.. Definately Doesnt Show On The USEF Circuit.. Or Possibly Lives In A Hole.. Lol

  • lol ill go with living in a hole lol

  • Haha..

  • She was the Equitation Champion at Devon in 2007. She is a really pretty rider who catch rides alot of horses.

  • ha ha i can hear frank doin the barn whoo!!!

  • shes really good!

  • Out of all the Horse Power girls, Maria Shaub is def. the best rider. She rode horses that she only had a week to ride before going to show on. She has learned to ride whatever is thrown at her and not to rely on pushbuttons. Thats my opinion.

  • holy shit!!! ok so i'm commenting as I'm watching . . hold the freaking camera still!!!

  • i was moving down steps so i wouldn't miss any jumps because of barriers.

  • haha I can hear Frank "Woohing"lol

  • it looked so effortless...amazing! i would really like to see her win finals! good luck!

  • she just won the WIHS Eq Final

  • Lovely - no BEAUTIFUL - round. She has nice equitation and her horse is absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait till I'm at Devon! :D

  • you know, she has REALLY good equitation and her horse is just fantastic, wish my horse could be that good but that would be optimistic to the point of breaking

  • did she win?

  • she won her section.

  • What horse was she riding?

  • versace i believe. but i'm not positive.

  • her equitation is just simply fantastic...i always thought that if amigo hadnt been sold that she couldve gone on to do amazingly well at the maclay finals with him. anyways, wonderful round. great video!

  • beautiful ride

    adorable horse (:

  • I believe this horse is Versace, owned by the King-Kaplan's, but am not 100% sure.

What a wonderful rider and beautiful trip. She certaintly deserves all of her success.

  • I agree. I love her riding, I follow her blog =] you can get to it from equisearch dot com. I think its cool she does that. and yeah she has drop dead gorgeous equitation! =D

  • That was a pretty good round. Her horse is GORGEOUS. I wuva him. Some racehorses go for triple plus that, which makes sense because they earn even more that that in their career. A lot of good riders don't own the horses they show slash ride.

  • Whoever filmed this needs a STEADY HAND!

  • just be thankful it's on the internet beckitty!!!!!!

  • i filmed it. but when i was filming it i was moving down steps to get in closer so obviously it won't be that steady.

  • yeah this horse's name?

  • i have no idea.

  • Which horse was Maria riding? So responisive and trained-that was an incredible round. Talk about push button horse! =)

  • just because she makes it look easy doesn't mean thats a push button horse. eq is all about making every horse look like a packer.

  • i'd do anything to have the money for stuff like that.

  • os she related to bill shaub?

  • no she's not...their names are even spelled differently

  • I love you Maria! What horse do she ride/own now? I know she sold Whimsey.

  • was that a hunter round?? or equitation?

  • read the caption & title. equitation.

  • That is crazy how could you spend that much on a horse that is the price of a house

  • All of the well known equitation riders have sold there horses in the past year or two. I think it's crazy how people can afford horses like that! How much would a horse capable of winning the Maclay cost? $120,000 or around there?

  • Maclay horses can go for upwards of $500,000... they are a very specific type of horse, so the ones that are good are VERY expensive.

  • Oh wow!! That's insane!!!! I would die and go to heaven if I could have the chance to ride a horse like that!!

  • Sorry, I thought that was him froma distance!

  • I love Maria and Whimsey!

  • That's nice, but you know this isn't Whimsey. She sold Whimsey to Karen Polle a while ago.

  • Perfect.

  • I absolutely LOVE the Devon show. I look forward to it every year. =] Beautiful trip.

  • nice nice very nice

  • Gorgeous round.
