1. listen carefully...elsewhere matches the tempo and the style of the song very well. hes doing smooth moves that match a groovy song. you dont have to maneuver exactly to each drum beat in order to dance with a song.

haha thats ridiculous...most famous dancers would agree with me. In fact I can recall people saying that he doesn't dance to the beat on multiple occasions. Yeah there are obviously techniques wheere you dance off beat, but there aren't any that allow you to NEVER dance on the beat. Now I won't lie, the man is still extremely impressive and I could never do like 98% of what he can, but what I can do is dance to the beat of the music.

This may be one of the main discussions about his style. His robot stuff would seem coolest to poppers; his "modern dance" stuff may appeal to people who are into that more maybe. I guess that since he does both (and more...) he appreciates all of it. I, off the cuff, like his robot stuff the best (and Michael Jackson's too). The "strange" or modern dancie stuff maybe, since David is doing it, it is to be appreciated on some level, like it's an acquired taste or something.

I agree. It's the next step in dancing. People see dancing as to what they've already seen. He is taking it to another level. He still does his old moves, but there done in different ways now, he doesn't want to do the same moves over and over since he was 17. He dances for himself too, it's a passion, not just to make your jaw drop.
