  • so is this boss pretty much the fire version of morpheel?

  • When valguria or whaterver is trowing rocks at u go to the edge of the plataform hang in there and u get no damage

  • the video is very helpful,it may just be me and my retardness. I followed all the instructions but keep on dying! :( any other advice? Because I seriously need help...ps message me back quickly.... :)

    -Dean

  • sorry, your video has helped but I have spent ages trying to kill the dragon but i keep on dying! any advice?

  • this is the best fucking game ever made. fuck cod, Zelda will always be my number one

  • Soooooo much DAMAGE!!!

  • Ty for the help this is a good guide =D

  • so much for caleb being a ninja and never taking damage.

  • You updating the website and channel? I really need to know how to get through the final parts of the Fire Temple and the DNS for your website is "unavailable" and the videos say "an error occured." DX

  • @KiraismyLord

    Working fine for me.

    ~ Caleb

  • @TheZeldaDungeon I realized what it was. Our internet was down. >.<

  • VIVA VOLVAGIA!!!!!

  • Molgera? Lol.

  • HAAUP!! HAAYT!! HEEAGHHH!!!

  • with the rock fall attack once he's moving back into his hole the rocks will only fall on him. This means you can move off of the edge of the platform earlier than you have been.

  • OMG HE'S JUST LIKE MOLGERA FROM WIND WAKER! (the boss)

  • so THATS why i didnt hear the voices on my game. i was listening to yours and then mine and confused lol

  • i though volvagia was a little bigger

  • now im prepared to fight him thanks im playing the 3ds version stuck in the temple YOU ROCK NEW SUBBER

  • how about that whack a mole game dont you see the same thing in this as you do in that game?? xd

  • @MrKimzan more like whack a volvagia XD

  • Easiest boss going around

  • I <3 this boss, I don't know why but I've always have :3 (hahaha. I'm like a stalker minus the stalking)

  • I never take damage whenever I battle Volvagia, and I don't climb onto the wall I just dodge all of Volvagia's attacks. When Volvagia is breathing fire I just Z-target him and sidestep around the center pillar and he never hits me.

  • I'm not sure but I think arrows actually help kill this boss faster. While he was flying I shot him with arrows. He didn't attack me at all at that point and I was able to kill him with two jump attack, one at each moment he popped up

  • Comment removed

  • same music from king dodongo

  • this boss can be quite challenging if you don't know what your doing

  • i wonder what they were thinking when they decided on the name of volvagia

  • Volvagia has awesome hair lol

  • Way too easy.

  • This boss was actually kinda boring. Most of the time I just stood there under him so he couldnt breathe at me, or hung from the wall to escape the rocks. But it was a nice change, I always panic during mini-bosses and bosses, and mess up in every way possible :(

  • Celeb i tried what you said with the wall thing and i got killed by the rocks

  • most intense game of wack a mole ever

  • I Cried soo much when volvagia died! he/she was one of the bestest friends of Link

  • In my opinion this is the easiest boss in the entire game, either get the biggorons sword or giants knife if you don't feel like doing the quest, stun with the hammer, jump attack, shoot with arrows while he's flying, stun again when you can, jump attack, dead

  • if you buy that giant knife from the goron that looks like its stuck in the wall it kills the dragon a lot quicker !

  • I believe you can shoot Volvagia with arrows during his second attack, not only does he take damage but he immediately stops his attack when you successfully hit him

  • You said the boss's' wrong. It is val-gair-rea

  • Maybe Volvagia is related to Stallord that would be cool but probably impossible

  • You know you can shoot volvagia with the bow while he is flying for extra damage

  • did you know you can shoot arrows at Volvagia when he is flying around?..

  • i got mad cause i died like 4 times against this boss and i had a FAIRY! BUT THEN LATER I GOT 2 FAIRYS AND THEN I KILLED THE BOSS WITHOUT USING THE FAIRYS AND I WAS REAL MAD!

  • When I saw this this was the first thought that came to mind, Whack-a-mole!

  • @LovelyRain389

LOL Same here! except for extreme wack a gigantic lava snake :'D

  • You can shoot arrows when Volvagia is flying

  • how can Volvagia eat a goron?. hes so skinny the goron whuld get stuck in his throath and he whuld chocke

  • @MrLordRidley

A lot of snakes can unhinge their jaws (part of the reason they can spread their jaws so wide when venomous ones bite things) which also allows them to swallow whole eggs or small animals whole. For large snakes, they can even stretch their bodies to the point of swallowing small hippos and antelopes. Something the size of Volvagia could EASILY eat a Goron by squeezing or flaming him to death, then digest him slowly. Hurray for the discovery channel!

    ~ Caleb

  • @TheZeldaDungeon ahh yes good point.

  • @TheZeldaDungeon

Actually no snakes can unhinge their jaw. The jaw is connected by a ligament that stretches.

    ...... I just had to :)

  • i dont see how Volvagi can eat a Goron. i mean hes so skinny. a goron whuld probably chocke him

  • volgia?

  • dieeeee gandorf dieeee oh crus im dead noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • Also with his second attack, you can harm him with the arrows or with an Immense amount of luck and precession, the hook shot. the one thing I Don't like about the targeting system is that with Projectile weapons Link shoots for the the enemy is at the time the shot is released and won't shoot for where it will be. Also I would try to move away just slightly.

  • actually did you know that if you equip the Megaton Hammer and perform the block you duck to the point of where he can't hit you if he flies

  • @NashTheBlade

The same is true when you press R without Z targeting using any weapon.

    ~ Caleb

  • Dear Caleb HI :D lol anywayz to the point, for the boss i had the Giant's knife from goron city and i used it for my jump attacks and i defeated the dragon with around 4 - 5 hits (can't remember exactly) can you please tell me the damage for the dinats knife, the master sword AND the biggoron sowrd (is it the same and doesn't break or is it more powerfull than the giant's knife)

    Yours Faithfully Azzy :D

  • caleb, does a jump attack with the hammer do more damage? and if so, why not use that in place of a regular jump attack when you have the chance?

  • @corbandioxide

The Hammer does not do any additional damage and I get the sword out because of habit. Also, in general, the sword is a little faster, though not for Jump Attacks.

    ~ Caleb

  • dear caleb im trying to get naivai keeps flying away from the scare crow post please help me.

  • @clydethedog2000

    1) did you activate the Scarecrow's Song by talking to Pierre in the future? 2) are you standing next to the door? (the other platform is pretty far away and doesn't work most of the time for me)

    ~ Caleb

  • @TheZeldaDungeon did you know you can shoot arrows at volvagia when hes flying?

  • By the way, it is possible to get hit by boulders while you're on the wall, especially if you were hanging out on the wall when the boulders started falling. I know from experience. ;)

  • Aww lame!

    ~ Caleb

  • Yeah, kind of. But if you stand near the middle and then dash off the side, you should be good.

  • nice guide i beat this boss without getting hit and i hit it twice with a hammer jump attack dose that do damage or did i waste a shot?

  • Whenever I see Volvagia get his (her?) head pounded with the Megaton Hammer, I think of this,"BAM!! Massive head-ache!"

  • I just try to avoid volvagia's attacks instead of climbing down the platform to make it more challenging.

  • A fire dragon can burn up? Wow. For some reason I always hated the fire dungeons in Zelda games. -_-'

  • well said caleb

  • Volvagia was defeated by the "legendary hero" using the "legendary hammer" ages before. Ganondorf releases the dragon in this game while Link's spirit is trapped in the Sacred Realm. That is all found within the game and as such, Volvagia is probably thousands of years old. Don't make idle speculation and spread rumors unless you know the facts.

    ~ Caleb

  • Technically Caleb, he's not talking about the game. That's from the Ocarina of Time manga, which granted, isn't canon, but according to that he was.

  • I realize that, but I don't want people to start debating fan theories and timeline crap in my video comments. If people want to do that, go to some forums, don't bog up a video intended to help people stuck in the game.

    ~ Caleb

  • actually, this "dragon" is more like a snake. Haha, first time i saw it i was laughing. because he doesnt look so scary :) And he should be :O

  • Great vids but you left out one trick. On Volvagias second attack you can shoot him with an arrow and he will go back into the ground immediatley

  • I never understood why this boss music is different from the other ones, why is that?

  • @GunLoc That boss music is actually used twice in the game. It's also the boss music for King Dodongo in Dodongo's Cavern.

  • are you planing on doing Majoras mask after this?

  • Caleb ~ Once I am done with the OoT walkthorugh, I am going to do videos for the Gold Skulltulas and Heart Pieces while I work on the side on Spirit Tracks, which will be released by then. Once that is done, yes, I will start working on Majora's Mask, but that may even be as far as away as late-spring or even summer.

  • Hey.....it's theme is a lot like Stallords!

  • That is because its the same theme only the pace of the music is different.

  • i always did the water temple before this one. is there anything ive been missing by doing it that way.

  • Caleb ~ Not necessarily. Ocarina of Time (and several other games in the series) allows you to do some of the dungeons out of order. You'll probably be able to get more stuff doing the Water Temple first, because then you'll have the Longshot.

  • I think you might need the hammer to do the water temple though. You do not really need to finish the fire temple before you do the water temple but you might want the hammer.

  • Caleb ~ There are no rusty switches within the Water Temple, nor are you required to break any red boulders in order to enter it. The order does not matter for those two temples. The only advantage I can see would be that you can get the Magic enhancement from the Great Fairy of Wisdom within Death Mountain Crater before tackling the Water Temple if you use a lot of Magic.

  • I could have sworn there was at least one in there. Oh well my bad.

  • Some walkthrough I've read suggest firing arrows when he's flying thought the air.

  • Never knew about thought two tricks. I've been playing this for years and I alway have trouble with this guy.

  • You can also shoot him with arrows when he flies, but I'm not really sure if that effects the battle in any way.

  • Didn't know you could climb on the platform that's pretty cool. I've never fallen off so I had no idea. Nice Guide, really easy to follow for people having trouble.

    5 stars :D

  • One of the easier bosses in zelda and lumigecko how can he have a head ache if hes dead lol

  • a nice stratigy iz to get biggorons sword first via buying blue fire at a potion shop. shure its pricy but like he always sais u not saving 4 much anaway.

  • nice amount of damage

  • HEY CALEB!

  • I love the vid the Battle is really easy also

  • you could of just shot arrows at him when he was flying around

    cause that does damage also

  • Caleb ~ Hmm, didn't realize that would do anything.

  • you can also use the hookshot to do damage and make him fall in the hole.

  • not really related to this boss, but when are you going to get the biggeron sword, or do the poe quest?

  • Caleb ~ I'll be doing both of those this upcoming chapter.

  • Thank you for covering those particular side quests. It's much appreciated.

I look forward to seeing your walkthrough of the Biggoron Sword Side quest.

  • If you have the hammer out while you do a jump attack, does it do more damage? Just wondering. Great video as usual!

  • Caleb ~ The Hammer does the same damage as the Master Sword. Thus, a Jump Attack with the Master Sword would be the same as with the Hammer. I suppose it would save a step of getting the sword out though. *shrug*

  • It's a lot more satisfying to hit him with the hammer as well. You can almost feel the headache he's gonna have afterwards.

  • she's

  • best dragon boss is all of the zelda games
