Too bad Chinese arts like this are not embraced these days. A ticket for Chinese opera is a couple US dollars while a not so great HK comedian can get 50 US dollars for his standup talk show. Only the best of these music & dance companies can perform at very high prices (300 US dollars?) in a few theatres, there is just no theatre for the general public to enjoy (and who probably don't care).
