jejejeje .... yeah really. The strategy was full left rudder all the way down adjusting yaw with ailerons, glide slope with power, and trying to keep a constant angle of attack until flare....
@N141AZ Full left rudder all the way down? no wonder nose is pointed left on touchdown with little right aileron. That's really like 12 knots or less crosswind component. Mostly headwind i can see, that's why you got low and slow and added power. Your friend drop camera when saw you were been drifted to close to runway side, you have a Forwar Slip and a bad touchdown required him to hold on. You were on a Right Forward Slip touchdown by YOU nervous. Was a CFI in that area for 12 years.
I cut the post to size by cutting obvious letters. Comprende?
Make it 10 knots crosswind component now, with a Forward Slip NERVOUS touchdown. Don't try to bullshit other pilots with that 18-21 knots ostentacious bologni. I have landed there many times with that kind of wind and if you do a Nervous Slip on flare all crooked like that you will be quickly pushed to the grass were you will wheelbarrow.
Now the text in Spanish; This is just pura mierda....
@CFITOMAHAWK Based on the Beaufort wind scale, it looks like 12 knots is a good estimate. At 18-21 knots there would be numerous whitecaps and water spray coming off the waves, which we don't see.
Thanks for the facts. I corrected the BS of this guy due I just hate when some Pipipilot Pretender tries to lure me into watching his crappy bologni videos and make me waste my time. Happy flying for you.
@thestig747 the crosswind component has been improved to 20 kts by cessna and its not a limitation. it only says that the aircraft has been demonstrated landing with this crosswind.
Hello all. Well I always land like its a short runway. I rather save time to handle unexpected stuff during flare, like this. I know, versus less options if the engine fails. But it was my choice. Note that the sound in the video is not the wheels but the stall warning. I didnt touch the ground until video cutoff, were my friend oliver drops the camera.
I need to check my logbook, but this was around 2004-2005 and, yes, sadly, they closed Bader. That was my favorite airport in the NJ-PA-NY area.... sooo sad, you could you walk to the beach or a casino. But It was clear that it would be lost, you could see casinos popping up every month around the airport, generating thousands of jobs.… Still I believe that we need more federal support to protect airports and the huge industry behind general aviation.
That brought tears to my eyes, thank you. Done that once with 11kt tailwind (a 70 hour ace at the time), there were skidmarks all the way to the number 29...
So is the new max demonstrated x-wind now 21kts for the C-172?

Considering the conditions, the approach looked very nice. I guess that means the pilot was busy and did a good job :)

The video looks like... propeller is stopping,
but, actually, it is not....
Actually, u did very well on crosswind :D
cuz... i have some hard time keeping the planes in center line.

Isnt the 172 only rated for 15 kt indicated crosswind?

@micahmx85 well wind is usually faster at height than close to the ground.
